2011 End Of Year TAG!

Hi you guys!
It's New Years Eve, and why not end the year with a TAG about 2011? Here you go:

Feelings towards 2012?
anticipation :) pleasant anticipation of course!
Done in 2011 for the first time?
Worked! I'm still in school, and I did my very first real job as an internship this year.
Unfortunately not done in 2011?
I wasn't away on vacation this year, and I definitely miss being at the sea.
Word of the year?
Yay :D
Gained or lost weight?
I think it stayed about the same ;)
City of the year?
Würzburg  :) There I spent a wonderful dancing time!
Alcohol & parties?
Just a little ;) not too much, but I did have my fun ;)
Hair longer or shorter?
Longer :D
More or less money spent?
more :D being addicted to make-up is for sure not good for your wallet!
Highest phone bill?
I don't know, my cell is pre-paid, I recharge it when I have to ;)
Been to the hospital?
No, I don't remember any time I was at the hospital! Not even for somebody else...that's good, right?! Everyone was healthy, no one got hurt among the people I know!
Been in love?
No, not really. Nothing serious at least ;)
Most called person?
That's a tough one, I call a lot of people all the time! But I guess my best friend. We don't go to the same schools, but we phone and text really often :)
The best time spent with?
All of my friends. I made friends with a bunch of new people in 2011, and I'm so glad I know them! I feel like I have the best friends one can possibly have :)
Most of the time spent with?
Most likely my family! Other than that, the people at school ;)
Song of the year?
There were a lot of songs this year! So many new ones, so many old ones I discovered for myself, I can't possibly pick one. If I chose something, it would just be from the past few weeks/months, because I can't remember every song of this year ;)
Book of the year?
Harry Potter, clearly :D
TV-series of the year?
How I Met Your Mother
Realization of the year?
Life's a peach :)
Something of the year you could do without?
Fights, with friends and family.
Greatest event?
Don't think there is a single one I can pick, a year is too long for that :D Too many great events!
2011 in one word?
Awesome!

I think this was actually quite hard to do, because you have to remember a full year! Sure, it felt like it passed in no time, but you still have to think when you want to picture a certain event from over half a year ago!
I'd love to see your answers to this TAG, so do it! Please :D
I figured I'm not gonna do a Cosmetics Counter, I'm not a fan of this idea anymore ;) Sorry!
Leave me the links to your 2011 TAGs!
xoxo, Misch

Best of Beauty 2011: My Top 10 Favs

Hey there!
The year is coming to an end, and I think it is time to talk about some favorites of 2011! Last year I already did this here *click*, and this year I'm already doing it before New Year's. My favorites for the month of December are gonna follow in the new year.
I'm now gonna show you my 10 favorite products of 2011, at least the ones I can remember ;) I'll try and only mention products that also got released in 2011, but I'm not sure whether that's gonna work ;) Let's get started! By the way: these are in no particular order!

Astor HD Mattitude Foundation - This is the best foundation ever for me! I discovered this in the beginning of 2011 and haven't used a different one ever since! Here *click* I reviewed it.
Essence Studio Nails Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer - I'm so in love with this top coat! It dries fast, it smooths every bubble, it's awesome! Here's the review *click*.
Catrice Floralista LE Duo Blush in As Lively As Ever - Here we have a blush that was part of an early spring LE, and I've been using it all the time. It was my go-to blush all spring, summer and fall long, and I still like it a lot! Swatches can be seen here *click*.
Benefit Finding Mr. Bright Kit - These were my first Benefit products, and I really like them! Super great kit for starters, and great for a natural and glowy look :) Here *click* I reviewed it back in spring.
Essence Sun Club LE Gel Eyeliner in BBC All Night Brown - Another LE product, a great eyeliner. The dark brown with the subtle shimmer is great for a lot of looks, the texture is soft and it still didn't dry up! I used just this a lot of times! Here *click* are more pictures and a review.
Nivea Happy Time Shower Gel - I like this shower cream so much and bought it quite a few times this year! It's so moisturizing that you don't have to use body lotion and the scent is great :) Review: *click*.
Isana Vitamin&Yogurt Body Lotion - Another body care product, a nice body lotion. It has a fun scent, is super easy to apply and doesn't leave a greasy film. *Click* for the review.
Alterra Caring Lipstick in Coral - This lipstick is super nice, it has a great consistency and I used it a lot of times when I wanted some color but still not too much. Yes, there's also a review link: *click*.
Essence Stampy Polish in White - Now this is not technically something that was released in 2011, and I also owned this in 2010 already, but with all of the nail art I've been doing in 2011 I needed this all the time. I think this is my most bought polish! :D
And I seriously don't have a picture of this! :O Here *click* is just a Google Image one.
p2 Profi Time!High Definition Concealer - This really was my go-to concealer, I used it every day ever since I bought it in June or something, and I'm still not out of my first tube! It's great. Here *click* is the review on it.
Well, these were the favorites for 2011 I could think of! What were yours? I'd love to know!
See you later,
xoxo, Misch

NOTD December 28th: Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer Nails

Hey there,
I'm back from my break! I hope you all had amazing holidays and enjoyed yourselves :) I for sure did, I had a great time with my family, chatting, playing games and skiing :) <3
Now I want to show you the nails I'm still wearing. During Christmas Day, I was so in the mood to paint my nails, and I figured that would be the last chance that year to do a Christmas-inspired mani. So here they are: Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer Nails! I based them on this video *click* by Cutepolish.
The red polish I used for all of my other fingers and Rudolf's nose is China Glaze - Ruby Pumps, which I already showed you here *click*. The rest of the colors were just either mixes or some random polishes, really basic. To be honest, I don't fully remember what I used ;) sorry ;)
What do you think of this mani? And, how was your Christmas?

Merry Christmas!

Hey guys!
I just wanted to take some time to wish all of you a very merry christmas!
Thank you all for being with me on this blog, and I hope that'll stay like this in the future!
I hope every single one of you is able to spend Christmas with their loved ones, and that you'll all have a great day :)
I know it's not actually Christmas Day already, but it's Christmas Eve and that counts, too ;)
I'm gonna take a little break over the holidays, or that's at least what I'm planning on ;) It could of course be that I need some blogging time, so then there'll be something up ;) but just don't expect anything!
Again, thanks to all of you and Happy Holidays!
Merry Christmas Everyone!
xoxo, Misch

NOTD December 24th: Santa Nails

Hi there!
Merry Christmas, here's my last Christmas NOTD for you! It's what I'm actually wearing for Christmas, a Santa design :) very simple, but so cute!
For the red base I used p2 it's hot, and the white is Essence Ahoy! Super easy to create, and I added a little Santa hat to make it a little more fun :)
There's not really much more to add!
What are you wearing on your nails for Christmas?

Presents & Christmas Spirit!

Gosh guys, tomorrow is Christmas Eve! There's a lot of stress going on with everyone, I'm sure, and I'm also spending a lot of time with my family, so this is just gonna be a fun chit chat post! Hope you're okay with that :)
Last night I finished wrapping all the presents :) This year I'm not giving away as much, because with my friends we decided to not give away something to each other this year, because we all wanted to spend our money more on family stuff, and we're rather going out then some time together :)
I love love love wrapping presents, I always want mine to be the prettiest ever, but for that I can't do that well enough :D Still, I love Christmas-themed wrapping paper, matching ribbons and everything :) So here are some impressions of some of the presents I'm giving away this year!
And, to get even more into the Christmas mood, some falling snow :) We're finally having some snow, yay! It might still go away, because according to the weather forecast there'll be rain, but I strongly believe that we'll have a white Christmas :)

Are you looking forward to Christmas as much as I do?
xoxo, Misch

NOTD December 22nd: Present Nails

Hey guys!
It's time for another nail art design, yay :D This time it's present nails!
These were so easy to do and are still really fun for Christmas. I used just Christmas inspired colors, and painted the ribbon in matching shades.
I have
  • purple-gold, here it is Essence True Love and OPI Rising Star
  • red-green, here China Glaze Hey Sailor and China Glaze Outta Bounds
  • silver-purple, here Jesse's Girl North Star and Essence True Love
  • green-silver (which somehow turned light gold?!), here China Glaze Outta Bounds and Jesse's Girl North Star
  • gold-red, here OPI Rising Star and China Glaze Hey Sailor.
I really like these, and they were really easy to do :) I haven't decided yet what my final design for Christmas will be, any suggestions?
See you!
xoxo, Misch

NOTD December 21st: Holly Nails

Hey there!
I'm sorry this post is so late, I meant to preblog it but then didn't have the time ;) But here it is now!
I did some Holly nails for the Christmas season, and I love them!
The base is a foil pearly champagne silver, an Essence polish from last year's Holiday Collection. It's called 02 Pixie Dust. Then I drew the red berries with China Glaze Hey Sailor, and then added the leaves. I drew these with a mix of China Glaze Starboard and China Glaze Outta Bounds. It was actually really easy to draw them, you just need a calm hand :)
What do you think of this? I like it :)
See you soon!

Review: Isana Shower Gel Roasted Almonds

Hi there!
Today I have a little review about my current fave shower gel!
Information:
  • in the scent Roasted Almonds
  • it's limited, just available this winter
  • Isana is just available at Rossmann
  • it contains 300 ml
  • costs something around 1 Euro
Positives:
  • really inexpensive
  • has this awesome sweet winter almond scent, I'm in love!
  • nice consistency
  • cares your body nicely
Negatives:
  • availability
  • it's limited
  • for dry skin, it's not enough, you'll need a body lotion
I really love this shower gel, it smells awesome! And since I use a body lotion anyway, it works for me :)
Do you have a fave christmas shower gel or other body product?
See you soon!

Holiday Gift Guide Part 4: Personalized Stuff

Welcome to the last episode of my Christmas Gift Guide! It's just in time so you can do some last minute Christmas shopping! This one is rather random, just a few cute things :)
Ideas?
I'm gonna start right away with the ideas I have, just a list and some thoughts about it :)
  • Do It Yourself - selfmade presents are always great because they show you put some effort into the present. It can be a lot of things, I especially like selfmade Snow Globes! I saw this little tutorial *click*, and thought that this was so cute :)
  • mugs - this partly can fall into the Do It Yourself category, because you can get a white mug and then paint it with something! Or you just buy a really sweet one at the store, depends on you :D And mugs can be filled with candy or stuff like that! What I like about mugs as presents is that when they use it regularly, like in the morning for their coffee, they'll think of you :)
  • jewelry - I already mentioned guy jewelry in this episode *click*, but there's of course also jewelry for women :) You can spend some money on either really expensive stuff, like real silver or gold, or you get accessoires, more like fashion jewelry if you know what I mean. Another option: make a necklace yourself with some fun colored beeds!
  • decoration - especially for girls who like their home to be stylish and cute, get them some decorative stuff :)  I'd say candles or other things like that.
  • personalized stuff - things like keychains, beauty bags, cups, towels and stuff are always cute when they have a special design. Online you can find tons of websites where you can design these, put on names or patterns. Maybe some of you already know Glitzy-Glam *click*, that's what I have in mind.
  • pictures - for a good friend a album or designed frame with a special picture is so great! I already mentioned this in my last gift guide post, it's linked above.
  • accessoires - I already mentioned jewelry, but here I think more scarves and stuff. Really cute, useful, and you can get them in your friend's favorite color! :)
  • gift cards - gift cards just always work. I already mentioned them in I think all of the other episodes of this gift guide, because I think they will always work. Choose one for your friends favorite store!
  • candy - I know this sounds like a super boring and uncreative present, but some people will enjoy this a lot! I for example have a good friend who like always eats candy, and I'd rather get her a huge selection of candy than a book :D There's also special stuff, and some chocolate in combination with another present is also nice :)
  • alcoholic drinks - when you're old enough, you can give away something alcoholic. A good vine, or some special drink can be nice for the right person.
The best advice for presents is in my opinion to really think about it and choose something that fits the person right. Don't buy something random, and maybe think if it was you, would you like to receive something like what you picked? I hope this gift guide helped you out, and I'm sure all of you will be giving away awesome presents!
See you,
xoxo, Misch

Holiday Gift Guide Part 3: Guys

Hey there!
Sorry for the short blogging break, I didn't have access to the Internet for a short time. But now I'm back, just in time to write another episode of my gift guide, this time for boys. So, let's start right away!
What to give a guy in general?
I personally find it hard to pick a gift for a guy, because with guys it's not like they all like something. For a girl, you can always give away make-up or jewelry or something. That's not so easy with boys. So there's no general thing! But I'd say, a book or something like that can definitely work. *click* here to read my gift guide on books!
What type of present for what type of guy?
To be honest, I don't put boys into categories, like "the fun guy", "the adventurous guy", "the serious guy", I don't think that always works. So rather look at what the guy likes to do, what he enjoys, because that's easier, especially when it's a closer friend. Just think of his preferences, and try to find something he'll like :D That's quite hard to do, I know!
Gift ideas?
I just have a few ideas, so I'm gonna make a list and tell you who I would give what.

  • perfume - this is good for a lot guys, especially the ones who like to take care of themselves. Maybe have a look at what he wears often, so you can choose something similar. And when you're a girl picking something for your boyfriend, why not get him a scent you like? :D Also works for shower gel!
  • guy jewelry - this works for a lot of guys if you pick something that works with their style. I know, jewelry sounds girly and stuff, but I'm not talking pearls and diamonds here :D Maybe a cool leather bracelet, or something woven, a surfer necklace...it's not that bad, right?! :)
  • DVDs + books - most guys like to watch movies, so a good movie on DVD is a good choice. Get him something classic, or scary, or thrilling. I'd not go for romantic or stuff ;) And a good book is also never wrong, also something thrilling or so. Book Gift Guide: *click*
  • pictures - especially for a boyfriend or the best friend, pictures are a cute gift. Whether you put one special in a frame you design yourself or you make a full personalized album with a lot of fun ones, doesn't matter. It's sweet, and also connects both of you, because with this present you have some memories to give away :)
  • games - there are a lot of boys who like to play computer games and stuff. Maybe he has a Wii, or a Playstation, XBox 360, no matter what, there are great games for every type. Adventure games, car races, everything what a guy can like. Make sure you get him something he doesn't own already!
  • gift cards - when you just can't think of something, or you don't know the guy well enough, a gift card is a great choice, because that way he also doesn't get something he can't use at all. Gift cards for iTunes, book stores, DVD & CD stores or clothes stores and so on will always work.
  • electronis - if you want to spend more money, stuff like a iPod or something is definitely cool, but it is on the more expensive side.
  • NOT: I'm a make-up girl, but I wouldn't give make-up away as a present for a guy. Unless it's a special type of guy, even special guy make-up isn't so cool for them, because they won't really use it. I have enough friends to know that they think it's gay (nothing against that! That's just what a friend of mine said!) or they're too cool to use it. I guess you can spend your money better :D

These are the kind of things I would do as presents for boys. What are you giving away to your boyfriend/husband/best buddy? I'd like to know!
The last episode of my gift guide will follow tomorrow, it'll be a tad more random. There might also be a few ideas for gifts for guys in that post.
xoxo, Misch

NOTD December 17th: Penguin Nail Art

Hi there!
Just a short post today, since it's Friday night as I'm typing this, and I'm in a rush. I'll be going to a friend's in a moment, for a birthday party, and I'll stay overnight. YAY! :D
I did some penguin nail art I want to show you :)
It's super cute and fun, and easy to do :) Here *click* you can see a tutorial on Adventures In Acetone.
I used Essence's Fatal as a black base, then did the white parts with Essence's stampy polish in white. The orange parts are China Glaze Life Preserver, and the bow is L.A.Colors Nail Art Deco Wild Fuchsia.
What do you think about it? I love it, so adorable :)

Holiday Gift Guide Part 2: Make-Up

Hi there!
My first episode of this Holiday Gift Guide is already up here *click*, and now the second one follows, which is about make-up!
Who to give make-up as a present?
A girl, of course. Sure, there is guy make-up, but I'm not sure if every guy wants that, and I'll be covering gifts for guys in another episode :) Now, what girl? The girly girl. Somebody who wears make-up often, somebody who wants to try it out (maybe for the first time as a teenager?), somebody you know who likes this kind of stuff.
What to keep in mind when giving make-up as a present?
Like I said, make sure it's something that works with the type of girl. If she isn't very girly, and she never wears make-up, you might not want to get her some. Then, when you're sure the girl wants to get some make-up, make it work for her especially. Don't buy something random, get her colors that work for her type and skin tone. It's not that great to get gold and bronze when you're a very cold type, and vice versa. Think of colors she always wears and stuff like that. And if you're just a tad of a make-up addict, you should have an idea of what colors could work :)
When she's already a make-up addict, make sure it's nothing she already has in her collection! ;)
What type of product to give?
I'd say that make-up stuff is better than skin care or so, because with skin care you'll never know if it'll work for her skin. Color wise, you can either get her something natural, similar to what she often wears, or you get something special that's out of her comfort zone, like a bright lipstick. That depends on the person!
Nail polishes are a good present if you want to get her some colors. Is she interested in nail art or stuff like that? Then get her some basic tools for that. Is she a blush fan? Get her one! And if she's not a make-up addict: rather stay safe and get something typical make-up, like an eyeshadow or a lipstick. A person who isn't too familiar with the topic might not know a highlighter, a gel eyeliner or a lip pencil.
For a starter, a nice little kit of key brushes could also be nice.
I think that what would be great as a make-up present is something special you don't get for yourself. It's something you want, but you're not gonna buy it yourself, because you talk yourself out of it. Receiving a present like that, one you've dreamed about, is great.
Where to get it?
Of course, if you don't want to spend too much money, the drugstore. You can of course make it simple and just get Essence or so, but if you want it to be a tad more special, try to find a brand that isn't available in your  town. That can still be drugstore, like p2 if you don't have a dm near you, and so on.
Then, if you are okay with spending some more money, department store stuff. When you get something at the department store, I'd rather go for key pieces because they're something great to invest in and she'll appreciate it, because she'll be able to use it all the time.
What will always work?
Body care sets, like the ones from TheBodyShop or Lush. These are stores where you'll always find something fun and cute, and body care is always a welcome present.
Other than that, maybe a gift card. It's not that creative, but she can at least go and pick whatever she wants. If you get a gift card for someone, it should be for a store with more brands, so she can choose. I'd say Douglas or something.
Perfumes?
I think perfumes also fall into the make-up category, so I'll be talking about them, too. When giving away a perfume, make sure the scent is what she likes. Don't get her a musky perfume if she normally always wears a light peach scent! Maybe she has a dream perfume she never got herself, so you can get it for her. But in general, I find perfumes a little difficult, because it's hard to pick the one she'll really love.

Make-up is a great gift, because you can for example add like a lipstick or something to a bigger present, or you make your own little kit. You take a little beauty bag and fill it with the cosmetics you think your friend will enjoy. It's super sweet like that!
Will you be giving make-up away? I will :D
See ya!
xoxo, Misch

NOTD December 15th: Candy Cane Nail Art

Hey guys,
yes, another nail art piece :D I just want to show you some inspirations and maybe get you to do one of the designs, too ;)
This one is a really really easy one, very suitable for beginners or people who don't think they can do nail art! Trust me, you can do it!
It's a very simple version of candy canes, yay! Holiday spirit, and very fun :)
All you gotta do is start with a plain bright red color. I'm using China Glaze Hey Sailor. In the next step, you want to create the white lines. Just use a white polish and a thin brush for this, or a tip painter. I used Essence's white tip painter. I didn't do the lines very regular, I did some thinner and some thicker, and I also alternated the spaces between them, because I thought that was more fun :)
And I had to finish it off with some glitter, that makes it way cooler :D Glitter rules! I just an old Essence one for that.
Here *click* you can see a video on this design by cutepolish.
What do you think? It's so easy and fun! Let me know if you try it!
xoxo, Misch

Holiday Gift Guide Part 1: Books

Hi guys!
Yesterday *click* I announced that I'll be starting to do a Holiday Gift Guide, and here is the first part of it. I decided to start with books because that's something that works most of the time.
Who to give a book as a present?
Of course, the bookworm among your friends, because for him/her, books are always great. Also, a book is a great present for a person you don't know too much, because when you give them a book you really like, they will also get an idea of what person you are. Books are good for boys and for girls, and there's a certain topic for everyone.
What to keep in mind when giving a book as a present?
When you're giving it to a bookworm, make sure they don't own it yet. That could be reached by stepping out of their comfort zone in terms of topics, or getting something really new or really old. If it's a close friend, you can of course have a look at their book shelf the next time you're at their place, and look what they already have.
When it's more of a stranger, get something a little more safe. It could be best not to go all out and get a very special, hard-to-get-used-to book. Keep it kinda "normal".
Get them the right genre! There's nothing worse than receiving a love story when you just read horror books, and vice versa. Just ask them about their fav books, that should give you an idea :)
I would rather get paperback books to give away, because they're less expensive. Sure, a hard cover one can be way prettier, but don't you rather get 2 paperbacks for the same price as one hard cover?! :D
What book to give the romantic girl?
The romantic, Twilight-loving girl is our first example. She likes it romantic, and maybe also not to serious. A good idea to give her is the first book of the Shiver trilogy, I reviewed it here *click*. It's similar to Twilight, and she'll enjoy it for sure. Another idea, when she likes it to be a tad more serious, get her a Nicholas Sparks book. They're romantic, there are a lot of them available, and she'll love them.
What book to give to a more thriller kind of fan?
I highly recommend Dan Brown books, I did one review here *click*, because they're super thrilling and interesting. But it is more for somebody who doesn't mind thinking while reading, because it's not the easiest stuff ever. Other than that, I just recommend going to Amazon.com or anything and just click through the lists of bestselling thrillers.
What books to give to younger people/teenagers?
I'd say something like The Host by Stephenie Meyer (*click*) or The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins (*click*), books like these are perfect for like teenagers. But that doesn't mean they're bad for adults ;) Just keep in mind that these are popular books, and they might have them already.
What book to give to somebody who likes only some special books?
For freaks, that are in love with something special, like a series, there are also options to get. Think me, the Harry Potter fan. I love Harry Potter, and luckily, there are some special Harry Potter books available. The Tales of Beedle the Bard, Quidditch Through The Ages or Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them are just examples of what other Harry Potter books are available. I have all three of them, and they're just awesome for a fan :) Special books like these are available for a lot of famous series.
What book will always work?
There are a few that can't be that wrong if they just work a bit for the person's taste, and these include classics, like Breakfast At Tiffany's or something. If the person is a huge fan of somebody, get them a biography of that person. Cute little pleasure reads are always welcome, just comedy books or something really different but sweet, like 14000 Things To Be Happy About. There are endless opportunities!
And you can of course always give away a DVD to the book :)

I hope this little book gift guide helped you out! It's super fun to think about what to get for which friend, and things like books are always great presents :) And they look nice when wrapped! :D
Will you be giving books away?
Next episode will cover make-up, yay :D
I'll talk to you soon!
xoxo, Misch

New project!

Hey there!
Just a quick post with an idea: a gift guide! What do you think? I'm ecxited to do it, that's gonna be fun! And now is just the right time to do it, because you still have a few days left to do your christmas shopping! I'll be parting the gift guide into a few episodes ans talk about different types of presents and persons.
Do you have some requests for it? Or anything else you want me to talk about?

NOTD December 13th: Christmas Tree Nail Art

Hi dear readers!
It's time for another nail art design for the holidays! This time it's Christmas Trees :)
For the background I wanted something nude, so I chose the best nude I have, Manhattan's 95E. And then I drew the shape of the trees, which I did rather random. The color for the tree is a mix of China Glaze Outta Bounds and China Glaze Starboard. I didn't want to have too much trouble doing the "jewelry" of the tree, so I used a glitter polish, Essence Circus Confetti. For the star on the top of the tree I chose OPI Rising Star, and I did some other red detail on the tree which is L.A.Colors Red Glitter.
It's not hard to do, it just requires a few steps, but that's fine :) I love Christmas inspired designs :)

Polish Finish Series: Sheer

Hey guys!
I noticed I haven't done a Polish Finish Series post in forever, so here is finally a new one! We'll be talking about Sheers in this episode, yay! :D Excitement! :D
A sheer is, like the name already says, a polish that doesn't cover and that applies sheer :D Making sense, right?! Sheers are often just giving the nails a very light tint and for example a milky look. They can contain shimmer or not, that doesn't matter. Very often they are in light colors, like pink, beige or cream, and they're used for french manicures as the base color. They are definitely not meant to cover the nails in color, therefore they are also just in light natural colors. Sheers are really work and school appropriate, and they look classy and chic, as long as you have neat nails ;)
They don't get opaque, some don't even build up or anything, that's what they're meant for.
I personally don't have a lot of sheers because I just prefer opaque colors, but I'm sure a lot of girls like these :)
One sheer I own is from Catrice, from their Urban Baroque LE. It's called Pearls&Chains, and it's a cream color with just a small amount of shimmer. It doesn't build up, but it gives the nails a milky tint.
The other one is from an old brand called Colors For You, and it's a almost clear base with blue shimmer and it is also a sheer. Really pretty, still :)
What do you think of sheers? Do you wear them?

NOTD December 11th: Snowflake Nails

Hey everyone,
today I have a Christmas-themed nail art design to show you! It's snowflakes!
I just painted them with white polish and a striper brush, really really easy :)
The base color is China Glaze Ruby Pumps *click*. It looks way better in the post I linked, because in my pictures here it was already a bit dark...:P that's the bad part of winter, definitely! Never enough natural light.
I'm sorry this post is so short, but I don't want to ramble about anything ;) Hope you like the design, more Christmas-themed nail designs are coming up :)
Talk to you soon!

Christmas Bakery and Chit Chat

Hey there!
Just a short random post today, because I'm having a lot to do. School is so stressing me out and that's why I didn't have the time to really find something to blog for today. But that's soon gonna be over, I'm gonna give some talks, write some tests and then it's over :D But I'm actually finding one of my talks interesting: I'm doing one in French about Chanel, and that's a great topic :)
And since I'm already posting something random, I'm gonna share some Christmas cookies :) They're vanilla ones dipped into chocolate :) I love baking Christmas cookies! :D And doesn't the first picture look like it snowed on my cookies? :D And the moose is holding the cookies, isn't he just adorable?
For our dancing show we've started a new dance, and this is the music *click*. It's so much fun, and just so great and it totally cheers me up to dance to this after a long day :)
Do you want to read more chit chat posts, more personal stuff? I'd like to do this, but only if you like it :) Let me know!
What are you doing these days?
