Chanel Rouge Allure 104 Passion

Is there any better souvenir to get in Paris than a Chanel lipstick?
There probably is, but when you're on somewhat of a budget, it is already a pretty luxurious thing to buy. So thought my best friend and I, and treated ourselves to one each. We bought them on the Champs Elysées, and felt very special. A bright red lipstick, the perfect thing to get in Paris. I still feel special whenever I wear it!
It is my first Chanel lipstick, and therefore I spent quite some time testing every single shade, texture and finish. I ended up deciding on this one: Rouge Allure 104 Passion.
The colour, 104 Passion, is a very deep red. It's a cool-toned red with lots of blue undertones. It does, however, not look pink. It's a bit darker than your traditional bright red, but not too much. The finish is matte, but still creamy.
Application is rather easy. You definitely have to be careful as the colour is very bold, but the lipstick is shaped in a way that makes it easy to glide on and outline the lips. You can layer it for more intensity, but it's already very apparent with one coat.

The design is very elegant with the black case. The top is golden with the Chanel symbol, and you have to press it down so it pops out and you can pull out the actual lipstick. A very fun way to open it, and kind of special.
What I especially love about this lipstick is the wear. It doesn't dry out my lips at all, and it fades very gradually. Even when you're eating you won't look stupid, and that's perfect. Due to the matte finish it might emphasise dry or chapped areas, but you can easily prevent that by using lip balm before you apply the lipstick.
The lipsticks of the Rouge Allure line all contain 3,5g, and retail for 32,95€. That is a lot of money, I know, and I spent a lot of time thinking about whether it was worth it. But now, I'm super glad I own it, and wear it more often than I'd anticipated.
Do you own any Chanel lipsticks? Or what would you get yourself in Paris?

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Lightscapade

First post of 2015! Cheers to that.

When I was in London, we were at an event in Carnaby Street by chance. I'm gonna tell you more about it in a different post, but the event is the reason why I got this product. The whole street had 20% off everything, so I went to the MAC store and bought myself this beauty (where I had to queue up to get inside and do my shopping): MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade.

The MSFs in general are highlighting powders. Lightscapade in particular is a very light and special colour. It consists of a white-ish, yellow-ish golden base, which is set through with light blue and peach streaks. It's shimmer makes it look somewhat frosted, and the colours blend together to a very subtle shimmery white-ish gold.
What I love about Lightscapade is how wearable it is. The shimmer is so subtle that you don't have to worry about overdoing it, and you can easily layer it. I love to wear it daily, because it makes you look fresh and healthy, but not like you've put on tons of highlighter.
I also own a different MSF, called Soft & Gentle. It is way stronger, and the shimmer is more apparent.
MAC's MSFs contain 10g each, and retail for £23 (I got mine for £18,40) in the UK and 31€ here.

I can definitely recommend them!
Do you own any of the MSFs, and can maybe recommend another colour to me?

Benefit The Porefessional

What I'd like to show you today is pictures of one of my newest products to try out: Benefit's The Porefessional.
The Porefessional is a primer which is meant to minimize your pores. There are two possible ways of application: underneath your make-up as an actual primer, so you have a base to work with, or to refresh it, directly over your make-up. The first possibility will guarantee a longer last.
The product comes in different sizes, and what I bought is a travel size, as I thought it would be enough to try it out. It therefore contains 7,5 ml and cost me 10,90 €. The regular size contains 22 ml and retails for 33,99 €.
It comes in a little tube that you just press to get the product out. You then directly apply it to your face using your fingers. The warmth of your fingers will melt it into your skin easily.

The consistency is very smooth, you can tell that a lot of silicones are included in it. It makes your skin feel very smooth and even, but also closes and therefore cloggs your pores. You can tell a shrinking of the pores, I was definitely able to see it!
Due to the fact that it cloggs your pores in order to make them look smaller, I wouldn't recommend this for daily use. That would be too much, and not be good for your skin. For special occasions, however, I can most likely see myself using it again.

Has anyone of you tried it out?

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Soft & Gentle

A truly great birthday present is what I got from my best friends this year. They got me a MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in the colour Soft & Gentle.
It is a highlighting powder in a very pretty, golden and peach shade. It contains tons of shimmer particles, but they are very soft and not too big. I love how gorgeous this product is on its own, and how nice of a glow it creates on your cheeks!
The Mineralize Skinfinishes contain 10 g, and they retail for 31 €, at least here in Germany.
MAC has given their MSFs a new packaging recently, which is why mine might look a bit different from what you're used to. The colours, however, seem to have stayed the same.

There isn't really much more to say, I'm going to let the pictures do the talking  now.

Does anyone of you also own Soft & Gentle?

Urban Decay Naked 3

Yes, this is it. My very own Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay. It's Urban Decay's latest palette in the Naked series, and it consists of neutral shades with rosy undertones.
Warning: This is a very picture-heavy post.
As all Naked Palettes by Urban Decay, this one comes with a double-ended brush. One side is a rather dense flat eyeshadow brush, and the other one is a more fluffy crease brush. Both are very soft and nice to use!
The palette also comes with samples of all four kinds of Primer Potion that Urban Decay has, but I'm going to show those in a separate post.
Now, onto the individual colours.

The first shade in the palette is called Strange, and it's a matte cream-coloured nude. The perfect blending shade.
Next comes a light pinkish nude shade called Dust. And that is quite a fitting name as it's so glittery that has a very dusty texture. Very prone to fall-out, unfortunately, but pretty nonetheless.
The third shade is called Burnout, and it's a soft pinkish brownish nude shade. It has a soft shimmer to it.
Limit is a matte colour. It has a kind of cool flesh-toned shade, and leans a bit towards a lilac.
Buzz is a super interesting shade. It's very glittery, and a mix between a brown and a purple, but not too dark.
Next is Trick, a golden hue. It has some rosy undertones to it and a gorgeous shimmer.
Here we have Nooner. It's the last matte shade of the palette, and several hues darker than Limit, though it does fall into a similar category colour-wise. A purple-leaning brown.
Liar is a medium brown shade with a very fine silver shimmer. It's rather neutral, not too warm or cold.
Our next shade is called Factory, and it's of a darker brown. It also has nice shimmer to it, but it's not that strong.
Next to it is Mugshot, another brownish shade, though it does lean way more towards silver/grey than the previous ones. This silverish hue mainly comes together due to the shimmer it contains.
Darkside is our second to last colour, and this time we have a real grey. It also has a shimmer, but it's not glittery or anything, the shimmer is rather subtle.
Last but not least, a true beauty: Blackheart. A black that contains lots and lots of reddish pink glitter particles. Very special and gorgeous!
Texture wise are all of these shades really nice! Of course, with some of the stronger shimmers you will definitely experience some fall out. But all colours have a great pigmentation and feel super smooth.
The Naked 3 is clearly different from the Naked 2, which I also own. Should you be interested in some comparisons between the two palettes, please let me know! I'd be glad to compare them!

Does anyone of you own the Naked 3 Palette?
