January 2012 Favs!

Hi guys!
It's the last day of January, and I decided I was gonna do my favorites of the month already today :)
This January I liked to use cheek products and not a lot more in the face, and you'll be able to see that at the list of my favorites:
Essence Crystalliced Highlighter - I got this highlighter at the beginning of the month, and I like it a lot! It's super pretty and makes a nice glow. Here *click* is a review.
MNY Blush 301 - I'm a big fan of this pink blush with golden shimmer, and this month I used it all the time!
Orly Fowl Play - My very first Orly polish I got this month, and it's so so stunning! *Click* for a NOTD.
Alterra Caring Lipstick in 06 Coral - I love this color, and as a lipstick it's perfect! I wore it almost every day, that's how much I like it :) Here *click* is my review.
Nivea Shower Gel Powerfruit Relax - This shower gel smells so fruity and fun, I love it in the morning! Review will follow soon :)
Rival de Loop Ultimate Volume Mascara - My new favorite mascara of the moment! *Click* for a review :)
Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base - and last but not least, Essence's Eyeshadow Base. I used this quite often, even though I barely did an eyeshadow! I just like how it evens out my skin :) Yes, there's also a review link: *click*.

So, these are my favs! I'd love to see yours, so leave me some links!

June 2011 Favs

Hi guys!
It's time for my favs for the month of June! Here you go:
- Essence Sun Club Bronzing Powder in 01 DE-LIGHT-FULLY DELICIOUS - I really liked wearing a bronzer this month, and since this one's supposed to be used up some time, I always reached for this one.
- MNY Blush in 301 - This blush was always worn together with the bronzer, I love the combo :) It's a pretty peachy pink with gold shimmer.
- Doing my eyebrows with an eyeshadow - for this I used the Essence eyeshadow in 03 Silky Smooth and the Essence Gel Eyeliner Brush. Like that :)
- Maybelline Great Lash Mascara - Even though this isn't the best mascara ever, it still belongs to these favs because I still like it. Here *click* is the review on it.
- Essence Blossoms etc. lipgloss in 01 Flowerkissed - It's always like that: when I want to wear a lipgloss, I reach for this color. I like it ;) *Click* for the review on it.
- Thomas Sabo Orange Silk Bracelet - I got this gorgeous bracelet for my birthday, and I love it! I wear it all the time, it's so pretty in summer.
- China Glaze - Strawberry Fields - I didn't show you guys, but I wore this polish for quite some time this month. Here *click* is an old NOTD with it. It's so pretty for summer with the gold flecks :)
- Benefit Girl Meets Pearl - This is such a pretty and settle highlighter, I love it :) *click* for the review.
- p2 Profi Time Concealer - I got this concealer new, and I like it a lot so far! Review's coming up soon!
These were my favs for the month of June! What were yours?
Until then,
xoxo, Misch

EOTD June 24th: Fun Summer Look

Hi dear readers!
Today I have an EOTD for you that I like to wear when it's warm outside. It's really cool for summer in my opinion!

I kept it simple for the eyeshadows, and just added 602A, a shimmery frost brown to my crease. The main focus is on the colored eyeliner, and for that I first applied just a normal line of RdLY's liquid eyeliner in 04 Silver Star. Then I added the teal/turquoise shimmer color on top, and for that I used an eyeshadow from the Manhattan MyBox series called 89B. To apply it, I used an angled brush, the one by Essence that I reviewed here *click*.
For mascara I used Maybelline's Great Lash Mascara.
What you have to be careful about is the silver eyeliner. The one I used tends to get onto my lashes which just doesn't look good. Keep an eye on that!
Do you wear these type of looks, too?
I'll see you later!
xoxo, Misch

My Eyeshadow Collection #5: Blues and Greens

Hey guys,
today I have the last post of my eyeshadow collection in terms of monos and duos - I think at least. So don't be surprised if there'll be another post coming up ;) Here are my blues + greens!

Essence - 29 C'est la vie
This eyeshadow's been discontinued for quite some time, but I still like it. It's a shimmery medium green, not too pigmented but still nice. I used to wear this a lot last year!

Essence - 25 Last Call
Here we have another discontinued eyeshadow, a very light blue/turquoise. I bought this when I was really young, it was one of my first eyeshadows, because I read in a magazine that this color would flatter my eye color :D It's just shimmery and not really pigmented.

Catrice Oceana LE - C03 Sea Of Green
This eyeshadow is a vibrant matte green, really pretty for summer. I used it in an EOTD last year *click*. It was unfortunately limited.

MNY - 301A
This is a shimmery military kinda color, a khaki olive shade. It was part of some LE, but I don't remember the name, sorry :/ Pigmentation is good with this one.

Alverde Baked Eyeshadow - 06 Intensive Turquoise
Here we have a baked and unfortunately discontinued eyeshadow. It's a shimmery metallic and vibrant turquoise, but it looks better when applied wet.

RdLY Quattro - 02 Blue Lagoon
This is a quad, but I'm mentioning it here because it has the packaging of a normal mono eyeshadow. It's a light blue, two medium shades, all shimmery, and a black with blue glitter particles. This one's still available, I think. Pigmentation is okay.

Swatches:
these are just from the RdLY quad
All swatches were done without a base.

So guys, that's it for my greens and blues! Hope you liked this series!
Until next time,
xoxo, Misch

EOTD June 18th: Variation of the Neutral Color Pop

Hey there!
This is an EOTD, and it is a variation of the Neutral Color Pop which I showed you here *click* for example, but it's a little different in terms of eyeshadows.
I first used the Rival de Loop Young eyeshadow base to prevent creasing, and then applied the MNY eyeshadow in the color 602A on the inner half of my lid. For the crease I used the dark color from the Essence Mumbamumba duo, but I applied it with a very light touch so it didn't get too dark.
For the color pop I used Sea Of Green by Catrice, and just applied this along my lower lashline. For eyeliner I used the Essence eyeliner pen, and for mascara the Great Lash one from Maybelline.
This look's really easy to do, but still pretty for summer :) I like how it incorporates color without being too much, and I'm proud of myself for using different shades that I usually do, which are like blue and golds and bronzes :D
Do you like this look?
Until next time,
xoxo, Misch

My Eyeshadow Collection #3: Darker Browns

Hey guys!
Today I have the 3rd part of my eyeshadow collection for you, my darker browns :) Hope you enjoy it!

Essence Soft Matt - 03 Silky Smooth
This is a unfortunately discontinued matte chocolate brown that is pretty warm-toned. It has a nice texture and is quite pigmented, but not too much, so you always get the right amount of product.

MNY 602A
This eyeshadow was part of an LE, but I don't remember which, sorry. It's a cool-toned brown with some silver shimmer/frost. It's not too pigmented, but still nice for nude looks. It was even once named to be a dupe for Satin Taupe from MAC, but I don't know if that's true.

Alverde Zauberwald LE - Magic Spirit
Magic Spirit is a greenish brown shimmer color, and quite pigmented. It was part of Alverde's Zauberwald LE, and I like it a lot, especially in fall.

Catrice Velvet Matt - 050 Sweet Mauve
Another discontinued color. It's purpley brown shade, and matte. It's nice to apply, but you have to be careful that it doesn't get patchy.

Rival de Loop Duo - Mocca Beige
I already showed you the lighter part of this duo here *click*, and now here is the darker side. It's a shimmery neutral-toned brown, not too pigmented but still nice.

Essence Into The Wild LE Duo - 01 Mumbamumba
Today I'm showing you the brown part of this duo. It's a frosted cool-toned brown with some silver hints in it. It's okay to apply, not perfect, but not bad either.

Swatches:
Well, that's it about this part of my collection :)
Until next time,
xoxo, Misch

My Blush Collection

Hey everyone,
I'm back!! :) YAY ;) Just kidding. I had a great time dancing, but now I'm sore all over ;)

Today's post is another collection post, about my blushes. I also included highlighting powders and bronzers, hope you don't mind :) I already did my nail polish collection back in summer, so go and check that out, too, even though I have to update them ;)
Let's get started, shall we?!

Essence Sun Club LE bronzer in 01 DE-LIGHT-FULLY DELICIOUS

This is a chocolate-flavored bronzer from a limited edition by Essence, and it;'s a brown color with a slight gold shimmer. I don't really like it too much, I used to, but not anymore. I'll try to use it more often so I can finish it up, but I;'m not sure whether I'll be able to.

Essence Return To Paradise LE in 01 The Famous Flamingo

A very light Pink shimmery high;lighting powder, a little to light to be a blush. I like it, but it's not the best thing I ever used.

Essence Go Snow LE Cream Blush in 01 Snow Bunny

A brigh pink color, can be applied sheerly, and it's nice. Not my favorite, though. It's matte.

Essence Crazy About Color LE Multi Color Blush in 01 Colormania

Looks like a Shimmer Brick by Bobbi Brown and is not very pigmented. I like to use it as  a highlighter. It contains 5 different light shades, all shimmery, from cream to pink.

Essence Multi Color Blush in 01 How Cute Is That?

This blush is kinda coral pink colored, but not really pigmented. I barely use it, but if I do, then because it's a nice sheer color that gives a slight sheen. Here's a review *click*.

Yves Rocher Watercolor Effect Blush in Corail Nude

A gel blush from last yea's summer collection. It's coral, easy to apply and I like it for summer. It doesn't contain any shimmer or glitter.

Yves Rocher Touche de Blush

Really cute packaging and a nice brown color that I like to use to contour. It's matte.

Alverde Baked Blush in 10 Peach

Such a pretty color, I love it, it could be claimed to be my favorite. If I had to pick one blush to wear all the time, this'd be it. A shimmery, highly pigmented pink peach brown color. LOVE!! <3

MNY blush in 301

A cute peachy pink color with a gold shimmer. I like it a lot, makes a nice glow!

[b]basic mono eyeshadow in 13

I know that this is an eyeshadow, but the color is a peachy gold that is very glowy, so it's perfect as a blush. I like it for that purpose!

Catrice Urban Baroque LE Illuminating Powder in C01 Masquerade Ball

My favorite Highlighter (okay, I don't own a lot of them...)! Really pretty, cute design and gives a nice glow. Click for a review.

Catrice Floralista LE Duo Blush in C01 As Lively As Ever
My newest blush, and I like it a lot :) It has a pink and a coral side, is matte and well pigmented. Like! *click* for a review.

As you might be able to tell, I pretty much go for the same color scheme all the time. Most of the colors are pink or peach and they mainly contain a slight gold shimmer. I know that I always reach for the same colors, but I think they suit me best :) There is no berry or plummy color, maybe I should try that out some time :) But I've decided that I won't by that many color from my regular color scheme anymore. That just wouldn't make sense, don't you agree?!

I'll see you soon!
xoxo, Misch
