LOTD August 10th: Fave Lip Combo

Hey there!
Today's little post will be about a lip combination that I've been wearing a lot in the past couple of weeks. It's really really pretty, so I though you might wanna see it ;)
All I do is first apply Alterra's Caring Lipstick in Coral and then Manhattan's Gloss in 45K from the Manhattan Loves Cherry Lips Collection onto the the center of my lip.
You can find a review for the lipstick here *click*, and for the gloss here *click*.
By adding your lipgloss only to the center part of your lip, you make it look a lot fuller. This way is also more natural, because you don't have a ton of glitter all over your lips.
It's also a really nice combo for summer (not that we have a lot of it here...), because the coral and red are good colors for that.
With this combo, you can wear some color without overdoing it.
Here you also have them swatched next to each other:

Do you like it?
I'll see you soon!

LOTD March 18th: Baby Pink

Hi everyone!
Today I'm wearing a pale pink lip combination :)
I first applied the p2 lipstick in 020 sunset boulevard and then the Manhattan Tasty Lips in Chinese Litchi.
my bare lips
only the p2 lipstick
with the manhattan gloss on top
enhanced lip wrinkles, see?!

I'm not so sure whether I really like it, because as you can see from the pics, it's lighter than my natural lip color. I don't really like looks that are lighter than my natural lip color, because that makes my lips greasy and gross easily. :P I'm not really wearing this often, but I wanted to show it to you anyway. I'm sure you can tell how it enhances my lip wrinkles. The p2 lipstick is very opaque and has a shiny fnish, btw.
What do you think of it??

LOTD Febuary 20th: Manhattan waterflash lipgoss

Hey there!
I have another LOTD post for you. I'm wearing the waterflash lipgloss in 46D by Manhattan that I already reviewed here *click*. It's a very bright pink and I used it very lightly so it'd be wearable. I did just the same technique I did here *click*, when I made a purple gloss wearable. I basically put a nude lipstick underneath it :)(it's NYX round lipstick in circe) and then applied the lipgloss lightly.

I still like the gloss as much as I did back then when I did the review, so that's great. I also did a full lip with the bright color, just for comparison.
Do you like that color? Or is it too summery for you, so you don't wear it now??
I'll see you soon!

LOTD / How-to make purple lips wearable

Hi everyone,
today I have my first LOTD post for you, and it means nothing but Lips Of The Day!
I did this combo because I was in the mood to wear a purple color, but I wanted to a make it daytime appropriate.
see the difference between the bottle and the lip color??
So I did these steps:
That's what you need:
- your favorite lip care / lip primer (I used Carmex)
- a nude lipstick of your choice (I used NYX Circe)
- a purple colored lipgloss (I used NYX Queen of Africa)

That's how to do it:
1. Apply either your lip balm or primer.

2. Apply your nude lipstick. You don't have to be careful or anything, the color isn't meant to look perfect, it's just the base color.
3. Add a few dots of your lipgloss to your upper and lower lip, but not everywhere.
looks funny, huh?!
4. Blend out the color by using either a lip brush or a clean lipgloss applicator. You don't want to add any more color, you just want to blend it out. Make sure you don't paint your teeth or get it outside your lip.
Also, when you wear a noticable color, make sure to reapply it after you ate something, because you don't want to run around, all funny with halft-painted lips...;)

What do you think? Is this wearable enough for you or do you prefer it more nude? I'd like to know!
xoxo, Misch
