What I'd like to show you today is pictures of one of my newest products to try out: Benefit's The Porefessional.
The Porefessional is a primer which is meant to minimize your pores. There are two possible ways of application: underneath your make-up as an actual primer, so you have a base to work with, or to refresh it, directly over your make-up. The first possibility will guarantee a longer last.
The product comes in different sizes, and what I bought is a travel size, as I thought it would be enough to try it out. It therefore contains 7,5 ml and cost me 10,90 €. The regular size contains 22 ml and retails for 33,99 €.
It comes in a little tube that you just press to get the product out. You then directly apply it to your face using your fingers. The warmth of your fingers will melt it into your skin easily.
The consistency is very smooth, you can tell that a lot of silicones are included in it. It makes your skin feel very smooth and even, but also closes and therefore cloggs your pores. You can tell a shrinking of the pores, I was definitely able to see it!
Due to the fact that it cloggs your pores in order to make them look smaller, I wouldn't recommend this for daily use. That would be too much, and not be good for your skin. For special occasions, however, I can most likely see myself using it again.
Has anyone of you tried it out?
xoxo, M

August 2014 Favourites
With August already being over, it is time to show you my favourites from the past month!
MAC Patina
This is such a beautiful eyeshadow! It's of a medium brown shade, not too warm, and it's finish is a frost, which makes for a nice shimmer. I loved using this for all kinds of daily looks! Here you can see swatches of it.
Catrice Hollywood's Fabulous 40ties LE Blush
One of my all time favourite blushes. It's matte, which makes it wearable with any kind of look, and the nice rosewood pink colour is also great! Here's a review on it.
Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow No Pressure!
This cream eyeshadow is my new true love. It's just so versatile! You can wear it at any kind of opacity you like, make it neutral or dramatic, and it's super simple and quick to apply. Here are more detailed pictures of it.
Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother
A new product by Catrice, and one that can be used all the time. Its shine makes for a great look, but it's natural enough to be worn during day. It's also very caring and tastes great! Check out a review on it.
MAC MSF Soft & Gentle
This is one of the prettiest products I've even owned! Soft&Gentle is so beautiful, makes for the perfect highlight and is easy to apply. Can't get enough of its gorgeousness! Here you can see some swatches.
The Body Show Eyelash Curler
This has always been my eyelash curler, but this month especially I've been noticing what a great job it does! Really makes a difference with my lashes, I love it!
Yves Rocher Aquarelles Végétales Perfume
I'd completely forgotten about how much I used to love this perfume, and was so glad to discover my bottle was still smelling great and had enough left of it! Also reminds of a couple of summers ago when I used to wear it all the time.
Please let me know about your favourites of the month of August! Leave me a link to your post or just a comment telling me about it!

Swatches: Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in No Pressure!
My first new make-up related blog post will be this, showing you pictures of my latest acquisition: a Creaseless Cream Shadow by Benefit.
That is what the permanent cream eyeshadows are called. You can choose from 10 different colours, and No Pressure! is the one I bought.
No Pressure! is a medium brown colour, a bit of a chocolate shade. Therefore it's a bit warm-toned. It has a very rich shimmer that makes it look very interesting.
The texture is a dream. It's super smooth and soft, and very very pigmented.
You can use it in different kind of ways by varying its intensity. You can apply a thin layer for a more subtle look, and the build on it to make it darker. That way you have lots of possibilities when creating looks, a great advantage.
In the next couple of days I will be testing how "creaseless" this eyeshadow really is, how long it stays put and so on.
Benefit's Creaseless Cream Shadows retail for 19,95€ and can be found at most department stores.
Has anyone of you tried it out?

Benefit Hoola Bronzer Swatches
Hey guys!
Today I'd like to show you swatches of my new favourite product that I got myself for Christmas: Benefit's Hoola Bronzer. This is not so much a review as more of a post about general information and swatches.
It contains 8g and costs 32,95 Euros. Its shade is a matte brown one that isn't too warm. It also comes with a little brush but its bristles aren't that soft, so I prefer to use my own brush.
It is nicely pigmented but not too strongly, and you can blend it very nicely.
I really love using it! It's never too much, and it adds a nice healthy-looking tone to your face, which is great. Sure, it's not that inexpensive, but the quality is really worth it.
Has anyone of you tried this bronzer?
xoxo, Misch

Urban Decay Bootycall - One eyeshadow from my Naked 2 that I used on seriously every single day of the month. It's the perfect light, slightly rose-colored highlighting shade. Swatches: *click*.
Illamasqua Never - Another pretty eyeshadow that I had totally forgotten about. Pulled it back out this month and used it to wear a subtle but colorful eyeliner. Swatches can be seen here *click*, and here *click* you can see how I wore it.

Synergen Body Butter Vanilla & Patchouli - my favorite body butter at the moment. Love love love the scent! Here *click* is my review on it.
The Body Shop Lash Curler - this is another tool I haven't used in quite some time, but I really enjoy curling my lashes again :)
Essence Vintage District LE Duu Lipstick & Gloss 02 Antique Pink - this pretty duo has a super nice strawberry pink lipstick that I love to wear during day time :) Here is my review *click*.
So, quite a lot of favorites this month! What were yours?

April 2012 Favorites
Hey there!
The month of April is already over now, and it's time to show you my favorites! Here they are:
Essence Rebels LE Lip&Cheek Pot 01 Peach Punk - you guys already know from my positive review that I really like this cream blush, it's just awesome. Why I love it so much? Read here *click*.
Catrice Revoltaire LE Ombre Blush C01 Color Bomb - this is another great blush. I love blushes, and one with a pretty design like this is always a must for me. I wore this constantly this month, here *click* is my review on it.
Benefit PosieTint - I promise, this is the last blush for this time's favorites. I just love blushes, and this pink makes me look fresh and it's easy to apply. Review: *click*.
RdL Ultimate Volume Mascara - for my eyes I've just been wearing mascara this month, especially this one. Now that I've owned it for a while the formula got even better and it looked great on my lashes. Here *click* is my old review on it.
Manhattan Water Flash Lipgloss 46D - It's started to get a little warmer in the past few days, and I loved to wear a bold colorful lip. What would be a better choice than Manhattan's Water Flash Lipgloss in 46D? I love it! Here *click* is a review.
Catrice Oceana LE Lipstick C02 Ocean Sunrise - and another lip product. I wore this almost everyday since it's a nice color that is very wearable and not bold at all. Unfortunately this was part of an old LE.
Random Bracelets - I've been loving to wear this selection of bracelets, they look fun together and it's a very casual thing to add to any outfit. The owl and the peace sign ones are actually from Essence, and the orange bracelet is a Thomas Sabo one.
What were your favorites for the month of April? Let me know!

Comparison: Essence Crystalliced Highlighter and Benefit Highbeam
Hi guys!
Today I have a little comparison for you guys!
Here *click* I already talked about Essence's new LE, called Crystalliced. I bought the Liquid Highlighter, and I only have one other highlighter that could be a little similar: Benefit HighBeam. I was curious to see how they compare and thought you might be interested, too! Let's get this comparison started!
As you can see in this first picture, in the bottle they don't look that much alike. Benefit's HighBeam looks a lot pinker, whereas the Essence one is way more silvery.
They're also both different to apply, because the Essence one has a pump and the Benefit one a little brush. But that's not what I want to concentrate on, the packaging is not the most important stuff, right?!
When you get a little bit out of the tubes, they already look a lot more similar! I think the Benefit one loses a bit of the pink tone, I don't really know ;) But it's still a tad pinker than the Essence one.
When you blend it even more, you can see that they get even more similar ;) The shimmer in the Benefit highlighter is a bit finer, a bit evener and smaller, but you can only tell that when you look very close. They're not completely the same, as I said, HighBeam is pinker. But not a lot!
Concerning the consistency: they're quite similar here again, I find that the Essence highlighter is just a tad stickier.
Maybe this helps some of you out! The Essence Crystalliced highlighter and Benefit HighBeam are not exact dupes, but maybe it's enough for some of you! Essence's highlighter is clearly way less expensive, so it's a nice alternative if you don't have to have a 100% dupe.
A detailed review of the highlighter will follow :)
xoxo, Misch

Best of Beauty 2011: My Top 10 Favs
Hey there!
The year is coming to an end, and I think it is time to talk about some favorites of 2011! Last year I already did this here *click*, and this year I'm already doing it before New Year's. My favorites for the month of December are gonna follow in the new year.
I'm now gonna show you my 10 favorite products of 2011, at least the ones I can remember ;) I'll try and only mention products that also got released in 2011, but I'm not sure whether that's gonna work ;) Let's get started! By the way: these are in no particular order!
Astor HD Mattitude Foundation - This is the best foundation ever for me! I discovered this in the beginning of 2011 and haven't used a different one ever since! Here *click* I reviewed it.
Essence Studio Nails Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer - I'm so in love with this top coat! It dries fast, it smooths every bubble, it's awesome! Here's the review *click*.
Catrice Floralista LE Duo Blush in As Lively As Ever - Here we have a blush that was part of an early spring LE, and I've been using it all the time. It was my go-to blush all spring, summer and fall long, and I still like it a lot! Swatches can be seen here *click*.
Benefit Finding Mr. Bright Kit - These were my first Benefit products, and I really like them! Super great kit for starters, and great for a natural and glowy look :) Here *click* I reviewed it back in spring.
Essence Sun Club LE Gel Eyeliner in BBC All Night Brown - Another LE product, a great eyeliner. The dark brown with the subtle shimmer is great for a lot of looks, the texture is soft and it still didn't dry up! I used just this a lot of times! Here *click* are more pictures and a review.
Nivea Happy Time Shower Gel - I like this shower cream so much and bought it quite a few times this year! It's so moisturizing that you don't have to use body lotion and the scent is great :) Review: *click*.
Isana Vitamin&Yogurt Body Lotion - Another body care product, a nice body lotion. It has a fun scent, is super easy to apply and doesn't leave a greasy film. *Click* for the review.
Alterra Caring Lipstick in Coral - This lipstick is super nice, it has a great consistency and I used it a lot of times when I wanted some color but still not too much. Yes, there's also a review link: *click*.
Essence Stampy Polish in White - Now this is not technically something that was released in 2011, and I also owned this in 2010 already, but with all of the nail art I've been doing in 2011 I needed this all the time. I think this is my most bought polish! :D
And I seriously don't have a picture of this! :O Here *click* is just a Google Image one.
p2 Profi Time!High Definition Concealer - This really was my go-to concealer, I used it every day ever since I bought it in June or something, and I'm still not out of my first tube! It's great. Here *click* is the review on it.
Well, these were the favorites for 2011 I could think of! What were yours? I'd love to know!
See you later,
xoxo, Misch
