With August already being over, it is time to show you my favourites from the past month!
MAC Patina
This is such a beautiful eyeshadow! It's of a medium brown shade, not too warm, and it's finish is a frost, which makes for a nice shimmer. I loved using this for all kinds of daily looks! Here you can see swatches of it.
Catrice Hollywood's Fabulous 40ties LE Blush
One of my all time favourite blushes. It's matte, which makes it wearable with any kind of look, and the nice rosewood pink colour is also great! Here's a review on it.
Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow No Pressure!
This cream eyeshadow is my new true love. It's just so versatile! You can wear it at any kind of opacity you like, make it neutral or dramatic, and it's super simple and quick to apply. Here are more detailed pictures of it.
Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother
A new product by Catrice, and one that can be used all the time. Its shine makes for a great look, but it's natural enough to be worn during day. It's also very caring and tastes great! Check out a review on it.
MAC MSF Soft & Gentle
This is one of the prettiest products I've even owned! Soft&Gentle is so beautiful, makes for the perfect highlight and is easy to apply. Can't get enough of its gorgeousness! Here you can see some swatches.
The Body Show Eyelash Curler
This has always been my eyelash curler, but this month especially I've been noticing what a great job it does! Really makes a difference with my lashes, I love it!
Yves Rocher Aquarelles Végétales Perfume
I'd completely forgotten about how much I used to love this perfume, and was so glad to discover my bottle was still smelling great and had enough left of it! Also reminds of a couple of summers ago when I used to wear it all the time.
Please let me know about your favourites of the month of August! Leave me a link to your post or just a comment telling me about it!
xoxo, M

- price a bit high considering the huge amount needed
Has anyone of you tried this shower cream?

Previews: Winter Collections!
Hey there!
It's the beginning of November, and that means preview time! Aaaaaaaand: It's winter/holiday collection time! And I just love love love looking at promo pics and the stuff for holiday collections! Even if I'll never be able to afford all of this stuff, I just love looking at it! And I'm looking forward to Christmas anyway :D
Now, Essence is releasing a LE called Circus Circus this December, and the LE contains a lot of golds and colors that work with both the Circus and the Christmas theme :) I'm actually really looking forward to this LE, it's made really great, and especially the double-ended nail polishes look awesome! Here *click* are some promo pics. What is weird, though, is that there's no other LE. Essence normally always releases 2 LEs a month, and this time there's just one, as far as we know at least. I think it could be because there's also the Hand Lotion LE still available, but I don't know if that's right.
For Catrice, I haven't found a single preview. Last month I already showed you the Welcome To Las Vegas LE *click*, but I didn't think that was it! Maybe there's gonna be a surprise?
Since I was already clicking through Pinkmelon.de, I found some more Holiday Collections, and I had to share the links :D I know that Pinkmelon links might not be the best, since not all of you speak German, but you can have a look at the pictures, right?! :D There are also some other links, btw. So we have:
IsaDora Holiday Red Rush Collection: *click*
Yves Rocher Luminelle Noel Collection: *click*
Yves Rocher Fruits de Noel and Fleurs de Noel Collections: *click*
The Body Shop Smoke & Sparkle Collection: *click*
Bobbi Brown Holiday Collection: *click*
Swiss O Par Christmas Hair Care: *click*
MAC Glitter and Ice Collection: *click*
Don't we just love Christmas Collections? Like I said, I already enjoy just looking at promo pics so much :D
Do you have any favorite Christmas Collections this year?
Btw: Unfortunately I haven't been able to spot the latest LEs yet. My local drugstore seems to be a bit late in the past couple of months, and also the other drugstores near me didn't get any stuff yet. So sorry I can't post about them, I'd love to!
Until next time,
xoxo, Misch

My Lipstick Collection
Hey everyone,
I already did my Nail Polish Collection in a few parts a while back, *click* for the post with links to all of them. Then I did my Blush Collection here *click*, and now here are my Lipsticks!
Essence Lipstick in 35 American Beauty
I don't know if it's available anymore, but not under this name, I think. It's a pink, nude glitter color. The color itself doesn't really show on the lips, but the glitter is pretty obvious. It has a very high-shine finish and glides on easily, but the glitter's chunky. I don't really wear it that often.
TheBodyShop colourglide lipstick in 42 dusk pink
I already reviewed this one here *click*, read through the review to get an idea of what it is like. Basically a nude color, but very sheer. You can basically see nothing at all on the pics...:P
p2 lipstick in 020 sunset boulevard
A very pale pink that I like. It has a shiny finish and is very opaque. I did a LOTD post with it here *click*. It's a little too pale for me.
Catrice Oceana Collection in 02 Ocean Sunrise
I love love love this color so much! It was in my 2010 favs post *click*, because ever since I got it in the summer of that year. It's a pink coral color, so pretty! It's a little bit shiny, but doesn't contain any shimmer.
Catrice Expect the Unexpected Collection in 03 Purposely Purple
A funky purple color with a slight gold shimmer. It's very crazy, and not really wearable, but you can tone it down or wear it for special occasions.
Catrice LongLasting lipstick in 01 lasting pink
I once got this one because I was gonna get the Maybelline Lipstick in Summer Pink, and this one has the same exact color but was like 5 bucks less expensive. Unfortunately it got discontinued, but if you like the color, you can still get the Maybelline one! It's really longlasting, a bright cool-toned pink that's very shimmery with a pretty visible blue hue in it.
Catrice Ultimate Shine Lipstick in 060 Teddy Brown
A warm, brownish red color, really pretty. It's kinda new to the sortiment and I like it a lot. Review you'll find here *click*.
NYX Round Lipstick in Circe
A very neutral color, almost skin-toned. I naturally have dark lips, so it makes me look kinda washed out. So that's why I mainly use this color as a base for bright lipglosses like here *click* with a purple and here *click* with a pink.
RdL Lipstick in 101
One of my first lipsticks, a nice red-orange fall color. It's pretty bright, but you can layer it and tone it down. It's matte and very warm.
RdL Lipstick in 27
It's a neutral pink with a slight gold shimmer that is a nice every-day color. Like it! Unfortunately it has a kinda dry fomula...The gold hue makes it look not too cold.
[b]basic mineral lipstick in 020 pealy apricot
I already showed this one in this haul *click* a long time ago, and it's basically a shimmery apricot color, but pretty sheer. I don't like it too much because of the taste and the metallic finish.
So these are my lipsticks! I already introduced you to a few colors in fall, so click here to see more pictures!
Do you want review of anything? Feel free to ask!
I'll see you later!

Review: Essence Gel Eyeliner Brush
Hi guys,
Well, after you just saw my THANK YOU POST *click*, here's today's "real" post:
Today's review is about another brush by Essence, their new Gel Eyeliner Brush.
I already introduced you to the Smokey Eyes Brush *click* a couple of days ago. The gel eyeliner brush has a black handle and blue hair, with the Essence logo in blue on the handle. With the bristles the brush is about 16 cm long and it costs 1.45 Euros at most drugstores. The brush is angled, or slanted, depending on how you wanna call it ;).
The bristles are about 7 mm wide and 5 mm to 7 mm long. You're supposed to apply gel eyeliner with it, but it also works for eyeshadows. You can also apply thicker lines with the wide side of it.
I personally prefer to apply my gel eyeliner with a small brush like the one by Alverde, and not slanted ones, but it works okay for me with this one. I also use it to fill in my brows. Doing an eyeshadow liner with this is okay, but it works better with gel eyeliner. The lines might not get too thin on the back of my hand, but they get opaque for sure, so that's great!
It's easy to clean, it didn't lose any hair and all of the leftover liner got out of it.
I compared it to my TheBodyShop slanted brush, and the Essence one is way smaller.
I personally prefer the one by TheBodyShop a little over the Essence one, because the bristles are here more dense apply the shadows/liner better. But the one by TheBodyShop also costs about 4 times more than the Essence one.
Do I recommend it? Yes, I do. You're not gonna get the best quality ever, but for the money you have to pay it's more than appropriate. I like it a lot!
What do you think of it?
xoxo, Misch

Halloween Tutorials: Blue Smokey Eye
Hi guys,

today it's time for my first Halloween Tutorial! I'm gonna say it now: This is not supposed to be a whole look or a costume, it's just a colored eye make-up, because I know that some people (me for example) don't like to wear complete makeovers, so a colorful "normal" look would be the thing to choose! Also, if you want to see any certain colors or something, go ahead and tell me :)
For this look, I started off by using a blue cream eyeshadow (TheBodyShopCream Eye Colour in 04 blueberry) on the outer half of my lid. Then I used several blue eyeshadows to create the look (120 palette, Rival de Loop Yound eyeshadow Quattro in 02 blue lagoon). All you wanna do is work your way back from the inner corner to the outer corner, getting the colors darker. Make sure to blend very well! In the very inner corner I applied a shimmery baby blue (Jesse's Girl Eyedust in Baby Blues), then I used the two lighter colors of the RdLY quattro on the lid and when it came to the crease, I first shaded it with the third color of the RdLY quattro and the blended the transition to the lid color with the tow colors from the 120 palette. The V-area had to get darker to give the look more dimension, so I applied the last color from the RdLY quattro, a blue-ish black. Then I blended the whole look towdards the brow using a nude skin tone color (Catrice Nude Cream) and used that a highlight as well.
On the lower lashline I just applied the two mid colors of the RdLY quattro to complete the eyeshadows. For eyeliner I used the Essence Black Mania Pencil and and the Essence Denim Wanted Geleyeliner in 01 vintage style. RdLY diamond wish mascara was used for the lashes.
Where blush is concerned, I just used a bronzer, but go with anything not too bright that you like. For my lips I used a light red lipgloss (Essence; don't know the name, it's old). If you want it to be more wearable, do a nude lip!
I really like this look, I think it's pretty! See this as a inspiration and change it the way you like it, using you own products! You could wear this when you are sailor for halloween, for example.
Do you have any color combinations or looks that I should do? Leave a comment and tell me!
Used It Up!: I finished my Evian facial spray, really liked it, but lately it started to smell bad :P
I hope you liked this one, I will try to do two looks a week, forgive me if I'm not able to!
Make sure to check back later, because I will post my Clinique skin care experiences, week 1!

Review: TheBodyShop Colourglide Lip Colour
Hi everyone,

a while ago I purchased the TheBodyShop Colourglide Lip Colour in 42 Dusk Rose, and now I'm gonna tell you how I like it!
Basic Information:
The Colourglide Lip Colour comes in a typical lipstick container that is completely silver. The color name and things like that are on the bottom. It contains 4 g/ 0.14 oz. It costs 10 Euros.
Consistency, Scent and Color:
The consistency is really creamy and nice. It both the scent and the consisteny remind me of beeswax, it's definitely somehting you should get used to. The color is a pinkish, reddish, brownish nude color, I don't really know how to describe it. The coverage, though, is really not that good. In my opinion, it's not really a lipstick, I think of it more as a tinted lipbalm. It's kinda like "my lips, but better".
Wear & Care:
The lipcolor is really creamy and due to that, it lasts pretty long. It doesn't get sticky, though. I already feel as if I'm wearing a lipbalm, and that's also true when it comes to the caring features of this lipstick. It makes my lips super soft and moisturize them.
Bottom Line:
I like this lipstick, but honestly, I don't really think of it as a lipstick, it's more a lipbalm. It cares my lips and that's just fine, but I think it's to expensive to just get a "my lips but better" color. If you want to spend that much money on a lipstick that isn't really one, do it, but I won't buy myself another one.
Does anyone of you own a TheBodyShop Colourglide Lip Colour? Do you like it?
As far as lipsticks are concerned, would you like to see my lipstick collection?
Until then, xoxo, Misch

September 2010 Favorites
Hey guys,
September's already over and now it's really getting fall - grey and rainy outside, but really cozy inside: it's time for spending the evenings in front of the TV, drinking a cup of hot tea:) I love love love this season so much
Evian facial spray - this stuff is so amazing :) it moisturizes, refreshes and cares my skin so well, and the mist is so fine. I used it several times a day, and I'm almost out of it :( I'll get a new one, though :)
TheBodyShop Born Lippy lipbalm in raspberry - I really like this lip balm, it tastes great, cares my lips and gives a nice pink shine. Definitely a fav.
Yves Rocher Aquarelles Vegetales Perfume - Y'all know that I love this scent so much - and I still do :) I used it a lot during this month.
Essence Soft Matt eyeshadow in 03 Silky Smooth - School started again for me this month and so I had to do a lot of nude looks everday and this eyeshadow was my go-to color. It's a matte chocolate brown, perfect to fill in my eyebrows, to darken up my outer corner or to simply shade my crease. This color is so convenient!
Beliance Foundation Brush - This brush is perfect to apply my foundation, I really like it!
Jesse's Girl Enamel in Garnet - This is such a perfect color for fall :) it looks very similar to Chanel Rouge Noir and I love it
p2 nail polish thinner - I had a lot of problems with too thick nail polishes this month and this one helped me a lot.
My Uggs - These aren't real Ugg Boots, but I still love them. So cute shoes :)
McDonalds Mocha Frappe - I love McDonalds Mocha Frappe so much (I kinda love everything in this post...), it tastes so amazing
So guys, these were my favs for the month of September. What were yours?
xoxo, Misch

EOTD September 26th: Blue & Brown + Use It Up! Product 6
Hi guys,

today I did a pretty natural eye but I used some color in it. I thought this would be pretty wearable and so I decided to show you guys!
I first applied a taupe-y brown shimmery color (MNY eyeshadow in 602A; it was limited edition) all over the lid and then added a shimmery turquoise-y blue color (Alverde baked eyeshadow in 06 intensive turquoise; it got discontinued but it might be still available) to the crease. I applied this one wet, I used the p2 perfect face! make-up fixing spray for that - water would work just fine. Then you want to add a shimmery peach-y highlight color to the inner corner ([b]basic mono eyeshadow in 13; I used this one for blush as well) and apply a black gel eyeliner to the top lashline (Essence denim wanted gel eyeliner in 01 vintage style; it was limited edition but might be still available). I used black mascara (RdLY diamond wish mascara; it's limited edition but out now) and a pink lipgloss (TheBodyShop born lippy raspberry lipbalm). That's it! It's really quick and doesn't require a lot of things! Also, if you don't own these certain idoms, feel free to use whatever you have in you collection!
I hope you guys liked this look! Do you think it's pretty or is it already to colorful for you? Leave a comment and tell me you thoughts!
Use It Up!: I finished my sixth product, the Cadeavera Compact Powder in Beige!
I really like it, but this one was a older one, so it had to get used up before it goes to waste!
Okay, I'll see you soon! Bye, Misch

Nivea Ideal Finish Foundation Review + Use It Up! Product 3
Hi dear readers,

I told you I got the Nivea Beaute Ideal Finish Foundation in this haul, and I thought you might want to hear my thoughts on it!
Basic information:
It claims to give an ideal, even teint and to be longlasting. The foundation is oil-free and non-comedogenic (that means it won't clog your pores). According to the website, it has SPF 8 and contains Vitamine E. It costs something between 6.95 and 9.95 Euros, depending on where you buy it and it's available in 6 different colors. I'm using the color 02 Nude. It's supposed to give high coverage.
It comes in a tube that is in a natural color with a blue bottom and blue text.
Consistency and scent:
The consistency isn't really that liquid, it's more creamy, but still very light and easy to apply. It has a light scent, I'd describe it as a typical lotion/foundation scent. The smell is very light and only noticeable on the face in the first few minutes.
Application and coverage:
The foundation is easy to blend out and it doesn't get streaky, but it does sort of stick to the hair on you face, you want to make sure that it doesn't look weird. I applied it with my fingers and with two different brushes.
With my fingers it was really easy to blend it out and to achieve and even teint. The coverage was not really that high, I still had to use concealer, but if you are fine with medium coverage, this will work for you.
Then I applied it with the Essence Blush Brush.
Yeah, I know, it's a blush brush, but it worked really well! The coverage was now high, I didn't have to use any concealer, although I had some pimples and blackheads. The only downside to this was that I had to use more product, because the bristles of the brush seemed to absord more product than they gave to the skin.
The second brush I used was the Beliance Foundation Brush
(available at Douglas and very inexpensive!) and this one was really good, too! It gave the same even look as the Essence Blush Brush did, and it gave high coverage, too, but this one didn't absorb that much product!
So I prefer to apply it with the Beliance Brush.
Finish and wear:
It looks really even and gives high coverage and it looks a bit powder-y, so you might not even have to set it with powder.
I reallt lasted all day long without fading too much. It doesn't get greasy or oily over the day (even with my oily skin!) and it's still there at the end of the day.
Bottom line:
I really like this foundation! It didn't cause me any break-outs and it gives a nice evne teint with high coverage, so I'm totally happy with it. I don't know if you can really call it ideal, but that's different for every person.
What do you think? Have you already tried this one? Would you like to give it a try? Tell me!
Project Use It Up!: I finished my Peach Body Butter from TheBodyShop today.
I love this one, so I'll repurchase it soon, but not before I finished Project Use It Up!
Okay guys, I'll see y'all soon! Bye, Misch
