April 2013 Favorites

Hello dear readers,
I'm a little late with my April Favorites, but I hope you forgive me :D Here they are:
Catrice FeMALE Cream To Powder Blush C01 A Woman's World - I love love love this blush, I've hit pan quite some time ago and I never stop using it! It was part of a LE over a year ago, and you can see my original review here *click*.
Ebelin Stippling Brush - this brush is really just great. It works lovely for foundation and blush, and I've been using it for both purposes. Here *click* is my review on it.
Ebelin Eyebrow Brush -  this might not really be worth mentioning, as it's just a regular spoolie as you can get it at every drugstore, but I love this one to comb my brows and also brush out sticky lashes. Spoolies can be so handy!
Maybelline Volum' Express Turbo Boost Mascara - I've owned this mascara for quite some time, and already meant to throw it out as I thought it to be empty, but it turned out it wasn't! And I love how this looks on my lashes :) Old review: *click*.
Isana Q10 Body Lotion - this body lotion is really great because it is so light that it's applied in no time and soakes in just as fast. Love that!
Nail Effects: Catrice Nail Sugar Pearls and Essence Nail Effect Powder - and last but not least, nail effects! Even though my reviews on the Catrice Nails Sugar Pearls and the Essence Flocking Powder weren't the most positive ones ever, I still enjoyed wearing these looks!

What were your favorites for the month of April? Feel free to leave me your links in the comments :)
xoxo, Misch

November '12 Favorites

Hey there!
It's December, yay! Christmas season! Gosh, how I love that :D
But I still gotta show you my favorites for the month of November :)
Essence Breaking Dawn Part 2 LE Blush 01 Renesmee Red - this is such a pretty red matte blush, I loved it a lot this month :) Here *click* I reviewed it.
Catrice SpectaculART LE Highlighting Powder C01 Artfully Lustrous - It's a very pretty highlighter, and it's not too warm or too cold. It's a tad crumbly, but it still works fine :) Review: *click*.
Catrice Hollywood's Fabulous 40ties LE Eyebrow Lifter C01 Casablanca's Highlight - how many times has this been among my favorites now, 3 times?! Haha :D I love it that much, still use it daily! Here *click* is my review of it.
Palmolive Naturals Orange Splash Shower Gel - this is such a nice refreshing shower gel, especially in the morning or after sports :) Review can be found here *click*.
Isana Antibacterial Hand Gel - with the cold time starting, lots of people start to get a cold. Since I have to touch lots of things at public places like school, I like to keep this hand sanitizer with me :)
Essence Home Sweet Home LE Cosmetics Bag - such a cute knitted bag, I love it for having the essentials in my purse :)
Balea Professional Oil Repair Hair Oil - I forgot this one on the picture, but I seriously love this stuff, it's so great for my hair :) Review can be found here *click*.
Carmex Lip Balm - last but not least, the best lip balm for dry, chapped lips. Yay! :D Review: *click*.

So, quite a few favorites this month! What were yours?

December 2011 Favs

Hello there!
Hope you're already recovering from all of the great parties you had last night, and that you're all starting 2012 in a great way! Why not have brunch or something to kick off the new year in a great way? :D That's what I love to do at least :D
And on this blog: let's kick off this new year of 2012 with my favs for December 2011!
Manhattan Party Glam LE Palette in Soft Nude - I used this palette from a LE of 2010 a lot this winter, it's great for natural looks!
p2 lip liner in Business Lady - This lip liner is great for the Holiday season because it's red and you can apply it also toned down. I used this always with a lip balm and it was great :)
Essence Circus, Circus LE Highlighting Powder in It's Magic - Here we have my now favorite highlighter! It's from this year's Holiday LE, and great for a little glow :) Here *click* are more pictures.
Essence Circus, Circus LE Cream Eyeshadow in It's Magic - Also from the just mentioned LE, a great cream eyeshadow in a golden color. More pictures can also be seen at the same post as linked above!
China Glaze Ruby Pumps - The most gorgeous red Holiday polish ever. It's so pretty, and I wore it like 3 times this December! Here *click* is a NOTD.
Isana Roasted Almonds Shower Gel - It's just the greatest sweet winter shower gel, I love the scent! Here *click* is a review.

What were your favs for the month of December? Or do you maybe have a post up with your favs for the whole year of 2011? And how was your start into 2012?
xoxo, Misch

Best of Beauty 2011: My Top 10 Favs

Hey there!
The year is coming to an end, and I think it is time to talk about some favorites of 2011! Last year I already did this here *click*, and this year I'm already doing it before New Year's. My favorites for the month of December are gonna follow in the new year.
I'm now gonna show you my 10 favorite products of 2011, at least the ones I can remember ;) I'll try and only mention products that also got released in 2011, but I'm not sure whether that's gonna work ;) Let's get started! By the way: these are in no particular order!

Astor HD Mattitude Foundation - This is the best foundation ever for me! I discovered this in the beginning of 2011 and haven't used a different one ever since! Here *click* I reviewed it.
Essence Studio Nails Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer - I'm so in love with this top coat! It dries fast, it smooths every bubble, it's awesome! Here's the review *click*.
Catrice Floralista LE Duo Blush in As Lively As Ever - Here we have a blush that was part of an early spring LE, and I've been using it all the time. It was my go-to blush all spring, summer and fall long, and I still like it a lot! Swatches can be seen here *click*.
Benefit Finding Mr. Bright Kit - These were my first Benefit products, and I really like them! Super great kit for starters, and great for a natural and glowy look :) Here *click* I reviewed it back in spring.
Essence Sun Club LE Gel Eyeliner in BBC All Night Brown - Another LE product, a great eyeliner. The dark brown with the subtle shimmer is great for a lot of looks, the texture is soft and it still didn't dry up! I used just this a lot of times! Here *click* are more pictures and a review.
Nivea Happy Time Shower Gel - I like this shower cream so much and bought it quite a few times this year! It's so moisturizing that you don't have to use body lotion and the scent is great :) Review: *click*.
Isana Vitamin&Yogurt Body Lotion - Another body care product, a nice body lotion. It has a fun scent, is super easy to apply and doesn't leave a greasy film. *Click* for the review.
Alterra Caring Lipstick in Coral - This lipstick is super nice, it has a great consistency and I used it a lot of times when I wanted some color but still not too much. Yes, there's also a review link: *click*.
Essence Stampy Polish in White - Now this is not technically something that was released in 2011, and I also owned this in 2010 already, but with all of the nail art I've been doing in 2011 I needed this all the time. I think this is my most bought polish! :D
And I seriously don't have a picture of this! :O Here *click* is just a Google Image one.
p2 Profi Time!High Definition Concealer - This really was my go-to concealer, I used it every day ever since I bought it in June or something, and I'm still not out of my first tube! It's great. Here *click* is the review on it.
Well, these were the favorites for 2011 I could think of! What were yours? I'd love to know!
See you later,
xoxo, Misch

Review: Isana Shower Gel Roasted Almonds

Hi there!
Today I have a little review about my current fave shower gel!
Information:
  • in the scent Roasted Almonds
  • it's limited, just available this winter
  • Isana is just available at Rossmann
  • it contains 300 ml
  • costs something around 1 Euro
Positives:
  • really inexpensive
  • has this awesome sweet winter almond scent, I'm in love!
  • nice consistency
  • cares your body nicely
Negatives:
  • availability
  • it's limited
  • for dry skin, it's not enough, you'll need a body lotion
I really love this shower gel, it smells awesome! And since I use a body lotion anyway, it works for me :)
Do you have a fave christmas shower gel or other body product?
See you soon!
xoxo, Misch

Review: Isana Hydro Lip Balm

Hi everyone,
it's getting really cold here, and that means taking care of your body more. Your lips are one thing you really don't want to forget to care, because when they're dry and chapped, that's just not pretty. I'm always looking for a good lip balm, and I lately bought this one. Let's see how I liked it!
Information:
  • called Isana Hydro Lip Balm
  • costs 1 Euro for 4.8 gr
  • comes in a tube you have to unscrew, like a normal lip balm
  • contains grape seed oil
  • only available at Rossmann
Positives:
  • easy to apply
  • soft texture
  • cares the lips nicely
  • the packaging closes nicely so you can throw it in your purse without having to worry about the cap coming off
  • looks fine when wearing it during the day
  • price
Negatives:
  • makes me want to drink something, I dunno, it dries out my mouth?
  • availability
  • probably not enough for really dry lips
This is a nice and solid lip balm, and I like using it. I just think that sometimes my lips need a bit more care,so when I use this one up I'll most likely try a different one.
What is your favorite lip balm? Any recommendations?
xoxo, Misch

Use-It-Up #4

Hey everyone,
today I want to show you finally finally a new part of my Use-It-Up Series! I'm so glad I managed to use up some stuff again, even if it's not that much.
Here's what I used up in the past time:
Florena Bio Olive Oil Hand Lotion - I like this hand lotion a lot, especially for the cold time. Here *click* I reviewed it.
Nivea Happy Time Shower Cream - Another thing I like a lot, like I already expressed in my review *click*.
Isana Vitamin&Yogurt Body Lotion - This body lotion is great, here I reviewed it *click*. But I think it's too thin for the colder season.
Synergen Anti Pimple Gel - My skin has turned a bit worse lately, maybe because of the stress with school starting and stuff. So I used it quite often.
Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer - You guys know this is my favorite top coat, like I said in this review *click*. Already repurchased it.
Yves Rocher Baume Nourrissant Lip Balm - This is a really great lip balm, but right now I'm using a different one.
Alverde Hair Tip Fluid - I already repurchased this many times, but I'm not so sure if I will anymore, because it doesn't have that much of a great effect. It's good, but not extraordinary.

Unfortunately I didn't use up any decorative cosmetics, but I guess this is better than nothing. And maybe next time ;)
Did you use up anything recently?
I'll see you soon!

Nail Polish Tag!!

Hey everyone,
I thought it was time for a new tag :D So I searched a little and found this 22 question nail polish tag and decided to do it! Hope you'll enjoy it!

1. How many nail polishes do you own?
Right now, I own 131 colored polishes, and a few care stuff :)

2. Where do you store your nail polishes?
I already did a storage post a while back *click*, and I still keep all my polishes in these IKEA plastic things, and they are sorted by brand. The plastic things are standing on a shelf, where they are protected from direct sunlight.

3. From which colors do you own most?
I think I own most blues, and pink is pretty close after that. Here *click* you can for example see my blue collection :)

4. Which color of polish is your least favorite?
I think coral. Not because I don't like it, I love coral in spring and summer, it's really fun and pretty! But especially peachy coral shades don't flatter my skin tone.

5. What is your favorite finish?
That always depends on season, weather and mood, but I think mainly creme and shimmer.

6. When was the first time you painted your nails?
When I was in elementary school my mom would sometimes allow me to paint my nails for carnival or something, but I think I was in 6th grade, around the age of 12, when I stared to wear nail polish regularly. Back then, I of course wasn't into it that much ;)

7. How often do you paint your nails a week?
I think at least two times, because after like 3 days I get bored of a color ;)

8. What is your favorite topcoat?
At the moment, I love Essence's Nail Art Sealing Top Coat.

9. Which nail polish remover do you use?
I'm using Isana's Almond nail polish remover with acetone which I like best. It's inexpensive and does a good job.

10. What's your fave polish brand?
That one's not easy to answer, because there are brand I love but can't really reach, and drugstore brands I use all the time, and stuff like that. But I really love China Glaze and OPI polishes.

11. Any brand you don't like?
No, not really ;) Every brand has its good and bad polishes, so I can't name one here I don't like at all.

12. Do you prefer long or short nails?
Rather on the short side, tending towards medium. But not long at all, as you can always see on my NOTD posts :D

13. What's your favorite red polish?
I think that is Limited Addiction by Essie *click*.

14. Fave pink?
Strawberry Fields by China Glaze *click*.

15. Fave purple?
Not easy to pick, but I tend to OPI - Do You Lilac It? *click*.

16. Fave blue?
Navy blue: China Glaze - First Mate *click*, fave lighter blue: China Glaze - For Audrey *click*. But that's only for right now, here it changes often ;)

17. What about green?
Catrice's C02 Welcome To The Jungle from the Papagena LE *click*. Not too common, and really gorgeous.

18. Your fave gray/brown?
Gray: Manhattan - Gossip Girl *click*, fave brown: Essence's BBC Golden Sands from the BBC collection *click*.

19. And nude?
China Glaze - Knotty, because it's not a traditional nude. *click*.

20. What about orange/peach/yellow?
As I said, peach doesn't suit me, and yellow's not really my color either. But I have a favorite orange, which is Life Preserver form China Glaze *click*. Awesome color :)

21. What are your TOP5 polishes right now?
That's not easy to pick, but here they are in no particular order:
China Glaze - Life Preserver, OPI - Dating A Royal, China Glaze - For Audrey, RdL - 102, OPI  - Jade Is The New Black. Most of these colors I mainly use on my toes, perfect for summer :)

22. What would be your dream polish?
Well, that's really hard to think right off the top of your head, but I think I'd have to say a navy holo :) I'd love to own one :) Do you know any good ones existing?

Well, that's is about this polish tag! :) I want to tag all of you, so do it if you're in the mood to! But there are also two blogs I particularly want to tag:
http://juntasperonorevueltas.blogspot.com/
http://viajandoatodocolor.blogspot.com/
It'd be awesome if you'd do this tag, girls :)

I'll see you later!

Review: Isana Body Lotion Vitamin & Yoghurt

Hi guys :)
Today I have a new review about a body lotion by Isana called Vitamin & Yoghurt.
I'm doing it in the short version, so here you go:

Information:
- is available at Rossmann
- costs 1.29 Euros for 400 ml
- is made for normal skin
- contains vitamin E and shea butter
- has a fruity sweet scent

Positives:
- the price
- the light fruity summery scent that isn't overpowering at all
- soakes in really quickly
- has a light texture that is surprisingly creamy
- moisturizes my skin well enough
Negatives:
- the scent doesn't stay too long
from left to right: right out of the tube - slightly blended - totally blended (notice the creamy look!) - totally absorbed, after 2 minutes
I really really like this body lotion, the scent's cool for the summer :)
Does anyone use it, too?
I'll see you soon!
xoxo, Misch

How to care dry hands - hand lotion comparison

Hi dear readers,
maybe some of you have the same problem as I do: very dry hands in the cold time. My hands get dry and chapped so easily, and I always try my hardest to pervent that. This year I got 3 different hand lotions to try out, and here you can read what I think of them:

1. Alterra Pomegranante and Aloe Vera Hand Lotion
Information: - contains pomegranate, aloe vera and shea butter
   - for very dry hands
   - costs 1.99 Euros for 75 ml
   - only available at Rossmann
   - promises to moisturize well, to soak in very quickly and not to leave a greasy film

Positives: + price
       + good, biological-based ingredients
       + moisturizes pretty well
+ soaks in pretty quickly due to the thin formula
+ I personally like the scent (you might not, though...)
+ scent stays around for more than an hour (could be negative if you don't like the scent)

Negatives: - only available at Rossmann
         - the formula might be too thin and not rich enough for very dry hands
(- the scent and how longlasting it is, when you don't like it)

Bottom Line: For me this one is working pretty well, it's not the most moisturizing one I ever had, but it's fine. I wouldn't recommend it for the driest hands ever, but I like to use it during the day a lot.

2. Isana Intensiv Hand Lotion
Information:  - contains 5% urea and shea butter, pathenol and bees wax
    - for very dry hands
    - costs 1.99 Euros for 100 ml
    - only available at Rossmann
    - promises to moisturize intensely and not to leave a greasy film

Positives: + price
       + good, well moisturzing ingredients
       + moisturizes very well
(+ you might like the scent)
+ very thick and rich, moisturizes very well

Negatives: - only available at Rossmann
       - I personally don't like the scent
       - it is very very thick, so it doesn't soak in that soon
       - it leaves a slight greasy film, but not too much

Bottom Line: I love this hand lotion when my hands are extremely dry and chapped, because it's so rich. I don't like the scent, though, it's the typical urea scent, but it doesn't stay that long. For the day it's too thick for me, but I use it every night to care my hands.

3. Florena Hand Lotion with Bio Olive Oil
Information:  - contains bio olive oil and provitamine B5
    - for dry hands
    - costs 0.50 Euros for 20 ml
    - as far as I know only available at Rossmann
    - promises to moisturize the hands intensively and smooth them

Positives: + price
       + good, botanical-based ingredients
+ size is nice to just throw into your purse and always carry around
+ scent is nice and natural (personal preference, of course) and stays for a while
       + soaks in pretty quickly
+ moisturizes well because the formula is not too thin or too thick

Negatives: - not available in full-size
         - only available at Rossmann
         - leaves a slightly greasy feeling for a while, about half an hour
         - it might not be moisturizing enough for very dry hands
(- you might not like the scent)

Bottom Line: I like it a lot, and have it in my purse all the time and use it pretty often. It moisturizes well enough for me, but depends on your skin, of course. You can't go wrong with this, though, because it's really inexpensive.

After all: I like all of them, they're not the same, and I use every single one for a different purpose. I don't think you need all of them, though, and the Isana one would be the best one for people with very dry    hands.

Do you have the same problem with the dry hands? Or do you recommend any other hand lotion? Tell me!
xoxo, Misch

Oh so lovely - winter scents

Hey there :)
It's getting really cold, it already started to snow at a few areas and we all just want to curl up under a blanket, drink hot chocolate and watch a good movie while it's storming outside - meaning: it's getting winter :)
And when it comes to winter, there are these so so lovely scents I love :)
I love the Holiday season, Christmas is great and ah...it's one of my favorite times in the year.
There are these typical scents most people connect with Christmas, Holidays and winter - and I love these as well.
Cinnamon
Honey
Chocolate
Oranges + Mandarines
Gingerbread
Vanilla
Caramell
different spices

and so on...

I love all of these scents so much (okay except for cinnamon which i don't like when it's too much), and that's why I'm always happy about Holiday Body Care Lines, because they have the best scents of the whole year.
One of the things I love is the Balea Body Butter in Cocoa, smells like chocolate and cares really well.
Then Yves Rocher releases a Christmas Line every year, and this year it's both orange-chocolate and orange-almond. I haven't been to the store yet, but I'll go there soon and I hope these things smell good. There are shower gel, body lotion and hand lotion available.
Isana has a nice shower gel this year, it's honey and white chocolate. Go and smell it at your local Rossmann, I really like it and it doesn't even cost 1 Euro.

Something I really like to do in winter is to just go to a store, the drugstore for example, while it's getting dark outside, and smell the different scents, pick out my favorite ones and then get home and take nice bath using the new products.
Do you like that too?

What are your favorite winter scents? Let me know!
xoxo, Misch

NOTD September 18th: Jesse's Girl Blue & Silver Nail Art + Use It Up! Product 5

Hey guys,
it's me again :)
I did another nail art design, yay! :) I know, sometimes I'm not in the mood for it, but today I totally was :)
I'm using Jesse's Girl Blue Moon all over the nail (actually I've already been wearing this color a few days before) and added Jesse's Girl North Star over half of the nail. Okay, sometimes it's a bit more than half of the nail, but it can't be perfect. I really love both of these colors, North Star has a foil finish and it so super opaque, that's almost unique :) and Blue Moon is a royal blue with purple shimmer, a really interesting color :) Love it.
Something I don't really like about these polishes is the wear, though. I already wore Garnet (didn't show you, sorry guys, just for got to take a picture) and it didn't stay that long, as well as Blue Moon on it's own. I don't I just already have tip wear after on dan chipping after two days :(. But maybe it's because of the base or top coat I used...We'll see, I might try it with a different base and top coat.
I really like to do this design when I'm wearing a color that has already chipped off on the tips, but I don't want to remove it yet. I just add another color over it, pretty easy! :)
I hope you guys liked this design :)

I also used up another product, the Isana nail polish remover acetone free.
I like this one, but I prefer the one with acetone.

Until next time, xoxo, Misch

NOTD September 14th: Catrice - 220 Lost In Mud + Use It Up! Product 4

Hey dear readers,
today I'm wearing Catrice - Lost In Mud on my nails :)
I really like this color, the taupe color is so pretty and it's even a close dupe for the Chanel 505Particulère nail polish wich was so hyped last fall. Application was nice, perfectly opaque with two coats. And it stays really nicely, two days, then you'll be able to see tipwear and after four days it'll chip off. It's really inexpensive (2.49 Euros in most drugstores) and pretty good quality :)

Do you own this color? Or do you have the popular Chanel 505 Particulère?

Use It Up! : I just finished my Isana Hand & Nail Balm with Aloe Vera.
I really liked this one, so I might re-purchase it after I finished this project.

Until then, xoxo, Misch

Beauty Essentials For School

Hey everyone out there,
today I want to show you the beauty products I take to school with me. Keep in mind that these are just my beauty essentials for school, everyone finds other things necessary! I would love to see your beauty essentials for school, so if you do a blogpost about it, send me the link or just write the products in the comments!
And now, let's get started:

Essence Pure Skin Oil Control Paper Green Tea - I have oily skin which means that blotting tissues are a must for me. I especially like to use them after sports class.

Labello Lipcare Velvet Rose - It's just a basic lip balm and I always have one with me, but not always by Labello.

Manhattan ClearFace Coverstick in 76 sand - Just in case I get a pimple or my make-up fades over the day, then I would need it.

CadeaVera Compact Powder in Beige - I apply my powder after I blotted my face and this is one of my favorite pressed powders.

Black Mascara - This one is just the tiniest one I have, I always take black mascara with me.

Essence 2in1 Kajal Pencil in 01 Black & White - Black and white are the most basic colors and for eyeliner they're always useable.

Essence Volume & Gloss Lip Maximizer in 06 crazy about you - This lipgloss doesn't add a lot of color to the lips, but it adds a lot of shine and it tastes minty, and that's perfect for everyday.

Yves Rocher Watercolor Effect Blush in Corail Nude - You know I love this stuff :) A little bit of blush can change your whole appearence, and this blush is super easy to use and small enough to carry it with you everywhere.

Essence Blush Brush - It's a pretty small brush and I use it to apply the compact powder.

Isana Med Hand Sanitizer - At school there are so many people with different illnesses, so a hand sanitizer always comes in handy.

These are the products I take to school with me! Do you take more products with you? Or do you think that make-up is not necessary at school?
I'd like to know! :)
Bye, Misch

Drugstore Haul

Hey guys,
today I have to show you a drugstore haul! I just got a few things and I thought you'd like to see them!
- Nivea Beaute Ideal Finish Foundation in 02 Nude (I needed a new foundation an this one had the color and consistency I wanted)
- Essence Nail Art collector's case (I will use this to store either nail rhinestones in it or pigment samples - it's perfect because you can open each compartment separately)
- Essence kajal pencil in 04 white (I needed a basic white pencil liner and I just picked this one up)
- Isana Med antibacterial hand gel (I was tired of my gel by Essence, so I bought this one because it has a really nice scent)
- Manhattan Spice up your nails nail polish in 77T (it's the perfect navy blue creme and I love it!)
- Hairwell Hair Mask anti hair damage (I love this one because it's so cheap and it cares the hair very well. It's just available at Netto.)
So, that's what I got. If you want a review of any of these products, just tell me! :)
I'll see you guys soon! Bye, Misch

A lil' haul

Hi everyone,
was you weather today as hot as it was here?? I was in the garden in a bikini all day long. The day before yesterday and yesterday I went to my local Rossmann to buy a few things. That's what I bought:
- MaxFactor False Lash Effect Mascara in black waterproof (I had a coupon code for 5 euros off when you buy two products by MaxFactor, so I used it with my sister and payed only 9 euros for the mascara in stead of 12. the other two euros off got my sister.)
- Isana Lip Balm Sun SPF 20
- Rival de Loop Young Care Mascara (I needed a new clear mascara so I bought the cheapest one I could find)
- Wet 'n' Wild Wild Shine nail polish in Magic Purple (There was a new limited edition by Wet 'n' Wild which contained 5 neon nail polishes and 5 neon eye shadows. I didn't get the chance to test the eye shadows so I can't say anything about their pigmentation. I bought this purple color cause in the bottle it looked as if it could be a semi-holo. It's a bright purple with dark purple glitter chunks in it. When I'm wearing it I'll post about it.)

That's it for my haul. Sorry for the bad quality picture, I took it with my cellphone's camera. Tomorrow starts school for me again :P
I'll see you soon <3
