Book Review: The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

Hey everyone,
the last book I read was The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks, and I now want to review it.
The story of this book is the the love of Noah and Allie, and since I don't want to give too much away, you'd better read the description on the book itself. Just enlarge the picture!
Now, I really don't want to spoil anything for you, so this will be hard for me ;) But just in case if you want to read this book some time soon: there's a little X at the top right corner ;)
I love the way this book is written, because Nicholas Sparks can make it seem so real. It's a love story, and it's romantic, even sad sometimes, but it never gets soupy or too much. I guess it might be too much for someone who doesn't like love stories, but for these who do, you'll love it. This is the 3rd book by Nicholas Sparks I read and I love it like all of the others.
At first I was a little confused, since a main part of this story is "the notebook", but that was clear soon. I also had some thoughts ahead of time, but it did surprise me a little.
This is a good book if you need a cry, or something cute ;) I found that all the "reviews" on the book by magazines that are like a sentence or so (don't know if there's a certain name for that) definitely match.
I was actually surprised when it ended, because I thought it would be longer ;) I didn't know what version I would get, since I had my local book store order it for me, and this edition has an interview, an extract from another book and stuff like that attached to the end. I thought, though, that the story was longer ;) Don't think the additional stuff is really needed, it was nice to read but I could live without it ;) And I'm sure a lot of readers will appreciate the fact that the story is rather short, only 200 pages!
I can't even say a lot more about it without giving something away, so I'll stop here. It's a really good book, and if you like love stories, don't even hesitate when thinking about getting it ;) Still, I can't force you ;)
Did anyone of you read it, too? Or maybe see the movie? I didn't yet.
Until next time!
xoxo, Misch

  5. The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks tells the enchanting love story of Noah and Allie. Noah and Allie only knew each other for a short amount of time before they fell in love. When she needed to return home, both hearts were broken. Her parents may have thought it was just a ¿summer love¿ but the relationship was much more than that. The bond they shared was so strong that almost ten years later, the love between the two was still present. Although Allie is engaged to a wealthy lawyer, Noah still has a place in her heart. Noah, living in the home of his dreams, goes about his days working and thinking of what he and Allie once had. When fate brings the two together again the compassion overpowers them both to feel the love the shared almost a decade ago. This was an easy read but also a great story.
