My drugstore now finally got Essence's LE for April, called Fruity. Here's what I think of it:
This LE contains 3 eyeshadow sorbets, 2 lip balms, 1 blush sorbet, 5 nail polishes, 1 scented top coat, 1 set of nail fruits and 1 top coat. Here *click* you can see promo pics.
The eyeshadow sorbets have a weird gel-like consistency, not like cream eyeshadows. I'm not a big fan of neither the colors nor the consistency, so I left them at the store.
The lip balms are nice colors, but they are extremely sheer. That's okay, they're just balms. But I don't need something this sheer ;) Nothing for me here.
The blush sorbet is just like the eyeshadow sorbets and also like the cream blushes from the permanent line. I hate this consistency, and it wasn't that pigmented either.
The nail polishes are all light pastel colors, and they match the fruit theme. But there's a problem with them: Essence apparently forgot to put names on them! I'm serious, no polish has a name or at least a number or something. How could that happen? Anyway, the colors. Since I'm not the biggest pastel fan ever, I decided to get only one polish, which is (as far as I can guess from the promo stuff) called 05 Mashed Berries. It's a light pink with rather sparse purple glitter in it, which looks like the seeds of berries. I like that, it's a really cool idea and makes the polish way more interesting :) On the nail wheel I did 2 coats, I hope I'll get away with that on my nails, too :)
The nail fruits are technically a good idea for nail art lovers, but they're quite thick. I think they could be too thick to really stick to your nails, and then I rather paint my own fruits as nail art ;)
Last but not least, the Nail Art Sealing Top Coat. I don't know what's special about this one, but since I found the best top coat already anyway I decided not to waste any money on this one ;)
After all, this is not the best LE ever. When I saw the promo pics I already knew that these are not the most exciting products for me, and I was right about that. Doesn't matte, I don't have to love everything.
What do you think of this LE?
