Hey there!
It's the beginning of November, and that means preview time! Aaaaaaaand: It's winter/holiday collection time! And I just love love love looking at promo pics and the stuff for holiday collections! Even if I'll never be able to afford all of this stuff, I just love looking at it! And I'm looking forward to Christmas anyway :D
Now, Essence is releasing a LE called Circus Circus this December, and the LE contains a lot of golds and colors that work with both the Circus and the Christmas theme :) I'm actually really looking forward to this LE, it's made really great, and especially the double-ended nail polishes look awesome! Here *click* are some promo pics. What is weird, though, is that there's no other LE. Essence normally always releases 2 LEs a month, and this time there's just one, as far as we know at least. I think it could be because there's also the Hand Lotion LE still available, but I don't know if that's right.
For Catrice, I haven't found a single preview. Last month I already showed you the Welcome To Las Vegas LE *click*, but I didn't think that was it! Maybe there's gonna be a surprise?
Since I was already clicking through Pinkmelon.de, I found some more Holiday Collections, and I had to share the links :D I know that Pinkmelon links might not be the best, since not all of you speak German, but you can have a look at the pictures, right?! :D There are also some other links, btw. So we have:
IsaDora Holiday Red Rush Collection: *click*
Yves Rocher Luminelle Noel Collection: *click*
Yves Rocher Fruits de Noel and Fleurs de Noel Collections: *click*
The Body Shop Smoke & Sparkle Collection: *click*
Bobbi Brown Holiday Collection: *click*
Swiss O Par Christmas Hair Care: *click*
MAC Glitter and Ice Collection: *click*
Don't we just love Christmas Collections? Like I said, I already enjoy just looking at promo pics so much :D
Do you have any favorite Christmas Collections this year?
Btw: Unfortunately I haven't been able to spot the latest LEs yet. My local drugstore seems to be a bit late in the past couple of months, and also the other drugstores near me didn't get any stuff yet. So sorry I can't post about them, I'd love to!
Until next time,
xoxo, Misch

NOTD November 6th: Catrice Out Of Space LE - C03 Beam Me Scotty!
Hello dear readers!
I'm sorry I've been just posting nail polish related stuff lately, hope you don't mind! This is gonna change for sure :)
But today is just one more polish related post, a NOTD. I'm showing a nail polish I got this summer, as it was part of Catrice's Out Of Space LE in July. Here *click* I wrote about it back then.
Beam Me Scotty! is a black with a teal hue, and some teal/green and silver shimmer. It's a Suede, which means it dries matte (here's my post about Suedes: *click*). Since it is a Suede, it dries really fast, and just needs 2 coats. I immediately applied a top coat, because I wanted to wear it shiny anyway. Silly me forgot to take pictures of it when it's matte, sorry about that :/
Adding a top coat makes it of course shiny, and it kinda brings it to life. It's way deeper and sparklier looking.
It's just so gorgeous, I absolutely love it! And I'm glad I'm wearing it now in fall and not back then in summer, because this dark shade is just great for this time of the year :)
Do you like this color as much as I do? I'm in love with it! Isn't it gorgeous?! You NEED to enlarge the pictures :)
I'll talk to you later!
xoxo, Misch

Polish Finish Series: Neon
Hi there!
Today's episode of Polish Finish Series will be about Neons. You might think that Neon only describes color, but it is also a finish. First of, into the category of course all of the "color-neons" fall. These very vibrant and extremely bright colors are all probably Neons. But what is also typical for a Neon is the semi-matte finish. Very true Neons always dry like this, and that's one of the differences from a vibrant creme. So if your polish is very vibrant and dries semi-matte, it's 100 percent a Neon.
Because of the semi-matte finish they dry quickly and are rather easily to apply. Normal for a Neon is 2 to 3 coats.
Neon colors are almost glowy, that's how bright they are, and they're also very clear colors. You'll probably never be able to find a muted neon ;) They're especially likely in yellow, hot pink, bright blue, bright green and bright purple. But these are not the only colors ;) Neons are especially popular in summer.
I only have one true neon, from the Italian brand Chresy, in the color 65. It's a bright pink with warm undertones, and it dries semi-matte with 2 thin coats. In real life the color is way more vibrant, but that just wouldn't show up in my pictures :/ Pinks are already hard to photograph, and neon finishes make that even harder...
Do you have Neons? Or do you like the finish in general?
Until next time,
xoxo, Misch

Also from Essence's Re-mix Your Style LE
Hey everyone,
today I want to show you another polish I got from the Re-mix Your Style LE by Essence. My lovely reader Mimi told me that the Pop Top Coat really is a holo, so I just had to get it :D And luckily I did!
The Pop Top Coat is called 01 Just Can't Get Enough, and the base is a dusty, brown-toned light pink.
It's not totally opaque, but of course you can wear it on its own when you use a couple of coats. Or you layer it over another polish :) I'd either choose something really light or really dark.
I was just not able to take a good swatch picture :P So all I can leave you with is this blurry one, but at least you can tell the nice sparkle :D The color is basically like in the bottle.
And here I layered it over a navy blue creme. I like this a lot :)
Now, the holographic effect. It's not a strong linear holo, if you expect that. It's more scattered, and maybe it turns into a slight linear holo in strong sunlight, I don't know. But it's not too much in-your-face. If you want to read more about holos, *click* here to see my Polish Finish Series post about it :)
I'm so glad Essence is now doing real holos under the name of holo, not duo-chromes :D
Did you get this polish, or any other one from the LE? If you still want it, be fast, because there are new LEs launching soon, so this won't be around for long anymore.
I'll talk to you later!
xoxo, Misch

NOTD November 3rd: Essence Re-Mix Your Style LE Dance Top Coat 01 Waking Up In Vegas
Hi guys!
Today's NOTD is something I really love :) I put on Essence's Dance Top Coat 01 Waking Up In Vegas from their Re-mix Your Style LE, YAY :D
I couldn't wait to wear this polish ever since I bought it a while ago, but I first had to finish my Halloween series of nail art. Now we have November, Halloween is over, and I can wear this one!
I added one coat of this top coat over 2 coats of OPI - I'm Suzi &I'm A Chocoholic. You guys know that I love this polish, this is the third time I put it on this fall, which really shows my love for it :) Here *click* is a swatch of it on its own.
But now back to the Essence Dance Top Coat. It applied nicely, and with a lot of sparkle :) And it especially pops against dark colors, that's why I applied it over this dark red :)
Even though it looks gorgeous when it's shiny, I just had to mattify it, and that makes it even more special :)
The glitter particles look orange, yellow/gold and green, btw.
And since it can look gold, and I applied it over red, it can have a christmas-y touch, but I'm okay with it now in this season :)
Do you like this polish?
Talk to you soon!
xoxo, Misch

- costs 1.65 Euros for 8ml
- the brush is medium in lenght and width
- it makes your nails look milky
Positives:
- price

- dries fast, like when you finish your second hand, you can already start painting your first hand with color
- easy to apply
- good base against discoloration
- brightens up the nails a bit
- tends to bubble on the slightest uneven part of the nail
- it's visible, and not clear like I prefer it
What is your favorite base coat?

October 2011 Favorites
Hello there!
It's already November guys, can you believe it?! It's getting really cold, time to curl up inside the house with some hot chocolate and a good movie, while it is storming outside :) I love that!
But now let's get into my favs for the month of October :)
Alverde Baked Blush in Peach - I really love this blush, especially for the colder season. It's so so pretty, and I wore it every day this month :)
Catrice Urban Baroque LE Illuminating Powder in C01 Masquerade Ball - This is such a great but subtle highlighter, and I used it all the time. I love it!
Essence Metallics LE Eyeshadow Quad in 03 Copper Rulez - This quad is already a year old, and I still love it! For Essence eyeshadows, the quality is really great, and the gel eyeliner didn't dry out yet! I used it on a every day basis :)
Essence Winter Edition Hand Lotion in Raspberry Chocolate Cookie - I love this year's hand lotion edition from Essence, and this scent is just great when it's colder :)
Armani Aqua di Gioia Perfume - I only have a sample of this, but I used it all the time because I like the scent a lot :) Unfortunately I can't afford the full version, but whatever.
Sigma Flat Top Kabuki F80 Brush - This is such a great brush, and I use it to apply my foundation. I've been using my fingers for that the past months, and I was so surprised by what a great result you can get with this brush :) I love it!
Manhattan Sexy Plexi LE Lipstick in 57N - So yes, this is not exactly a fall-like lipstick, but I love it nonetheless. For school it was perfect when I just used it lightly, and that's why I reached for it so often :)
So these were my favorites :) What were yours? Like every month, I'd like to see links to your posts :)
I'll see you later!
xoxo, Misch
