March 2013 Favorites

Hey there!
Today I'd like to show you my favorites for the month of March, as it is already over! Here you go:
Ebelin Professional Make-up Egg - Ebelin's dupe for the Beauty Blender is like my new favorite thing to apply foundation with. I'm so happy with this thing! Review will follow soon :)
Ebelin Professional Stippling Brush - another addition to the Ebelin counter was the Stipling Brush, and I really enjoy using it for blush :) Again, a review will be up soon!
Catrice FeMALE LE Cream Blush C01 A Woman's World - you guys know I frickin' love this blush, I use it pretty much all the time. Here's my old review on it: *click*.
Astor Mattitude Foundation - I haven't used foundation in like forever, but together with Ebelin's Beauty Blender dupe I tried this one again, and I still love it :) Here *click* is a review on it.
Essie Nail Polishes - I loved wearing these nail polishes this month, especially concerning spring shades :) Here *click* you can see Peach Daiquiri, and here *click* Tart Deco.
Benefit Girl Meets Pearl - This is one of my favorite highlighting products, and I used it pretty much every day this month. Review: *click*.
Eyeshadow for eyebrows - For a long time I used eyebrow pencils to do my eyebrows, but this month I went for an eyeshadow which I applied with an angled brush, and I like that a lot! Looks quite good in my opinion :)
Synergen Body Butter Vanilla & Patchouli - my favorite body butter at the moment. Love love love the scent! Here *click* is my review on it.
The Body Shop Lash Curler - this is another tool I haven't used in quite some time, but I really enjoy curling my lashes again :)
Essence Vintage District LE Duu Lipstick & Gloss 02 Antique Pink - this pretty duo has a super nice strawberry pink lipstick that I love to wear during day time :) Here is my review *click*.

So, quite a lot of favorites this month! What were yours?

Best of Beauty 2011: My Top 10 Favs

Hey there!
The year is coming to an end, and I think it is time to talk about some favorites of 2011! Last year I already did this here *click*, and this year I'm already doing it before New Year's. My favorites for the month of December are gonna follow in the new year.
I'm now gonna show you my 10 favorite products of 2011, at least the ones I can remember ;) I'll try and only mention products that also got released in 2011, but I'm not sure whether that's gonna work ;) Let's get started! By the way: these are in no particular order!

Astor HD Mattitude Foundation - This is the best foundation ever for me! I discovered this in the beginning of 2011 and haven't used a different one ever since! Here *click* I reviewed it.
Essence Studio Nails Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer - I'm so in love with this top coat! It dries fast, it smooths every bubble, it's awesome! Here's the review *click*.
Catrice Floralista LE Duo Blush in As Lively As Ever - Here we have a blush that was part of an early spring LE, and I've been using it all the time. It was my go-to blush all spring, summer and fall long, and I still like it a lot! Swatches can be seen here *click*.
Benefit Finding Mr. Bright Kit - These were my first Benefit products, and I really like them! Super great kit for starters, and great for a natural and glowy look :) Here *click* I reviewed it back in spring.
Essence Sun Club LE Gel Eyeliner in BBC All Night Brown - Another LE product, a great eyeliner. The dark brown with the subtle shimmer is great for a lot of looks, the texture is soft and it still didn't dry up! I used just this a lot of times! Here *click* are more pictures and a review.
Nivea Happy Time Shower Gel - I like this shower cream so much and bought it quite a few times this year! It's so moisturizing that you don't have to use body lotion and the scent is great :) Review: *click*.
Isana Vitamin&Yogurt Body Lotion - Another body care product, a nice body lotion. It has a fun scent, is super easy to apply and doesn't leave a greasy film. *Click* for the review.
Alterra Caring Lipstick in Coral - This lipstick is super nice, it has a great consistency and I used it a lot of times when I wanted some color but still not too much. Yes, there's also a review link: *click*.
Essence Stampy Polish in White - Now this is not technically something that was released in 2011, and I also owned this in 2010 already, but with all of the nail art I've been doing in 2011 I needed this all the time. I think this is my most bought polish! :D
And I seriously don't have a picture of this! :O Here *click* is just a Google Image one.
p2 Profi Time!High Definition Concealer - This really was my go-to concealer, I used it every day ever since I bought it in June or something, and I'm still not out of my first tube! It's great. Here *click* is the review on it.
Well, these were the favorites for 2011 I could think of! What were yours? I'd love to know!
See you later,
xoxo, Misch

Collective Use-It-Up! #3

Hey everyone,
I have another collective Use-It-Up post for you! This time there are more actual make-up products in it, yay :D
That's what I used up:

Astor HD Mattitude Foundation - This is my favorite foundation of the moment, and I already bought a new bottle of this one. It's great!

Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer - This used to be my all-time favorite concealer. It has the perfect coverage and consistency, and I loved it! But apparently it got discontinued, because I can't find it anywhere near me :( So now I'm using a different concealer, the one from p2 that I showed you here *click*.

Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara - Here we have my favorite volume mascara, it's a really good one! But right now I have a different mascara to wear, so I will only buy a new bottle of this one when I use up my current one.

Essence Nail Art Sealing Top Coat - I've already used several bottles of this one, but now I've got a new top coat that I love even more, so this one won't get repurchased so far. It's a good one, however.

MaxFactor False Lash Effect Mascara - This mascara is the only one that's really waterproof on me, and it has a nice black color. But I don't need a waterproof mascara on a daily basis, and so this one won't be bought again.

Rival de Loop Yound Diamond Wish Mascara - Another mascara, yes! It was limited edition, and it was nice, but nothing I have to have. So this was probably my last bottle of it, unless they might repromote it.

I'm proud to say that I used up that many mascaras, because you can't keep them too long. Mascaras are always products that go to waste soon, because they can cause eye infections when you keep them open for too long.
Did you use up anything in the past couple of days?
See ya,
xoxo, Misch

Collective Use-It-Up post #2

Hey guys,
it's time for a new Use It Up post again :) I don't do these regularly, but lately I used up some stuff, so here it is:
Nivea 2in1 Express Shampoo and Conditioner
I reviewed this hair product here *click*, and liked it. But right now I'm using a different one, so I won't re-buy this for now.

Astor HD Mattitude Foundation
You know I love this foundation, I did review it here *click*. Of course I repurchased it!

Essence Eye Make-up Remover with Oil
This make-up remover was okay, but not the best one I ever used. So I won't buy it again.

Alverde Repair Hairtip Fluid
I like this stuff, but lately I feel like it's not caring my hair as much anymore, so I still have to think about whether to purchase it again.

Nivea Happy Time Deodorant
This is a really cool and nice-scented deodorant, but right now I'm using a different one that I like better right now. I still might go back to this one :)

Essence Pro White French Base Coat
I always use this base coat, it dries fast and protects my nails. I already repurchased it and will keep using it :) Interested in a reveiw?

Synergen Wash Cream
This has always been a part of my skin care routine, and it still is. For my full routine, *click* here. Of course I always have one of this at home :)

Dove Therapy Heat Protectant
I like the effect and the scent of this heat protectant, but I don't really use heat on my hair anymore, so I won't repurchase it for now. But if I need one some time, I'll buy it again :)

Well, that's it for this episode :) I hope I'll be able to do a new post about this soon, because I always try to use up stuff so there's space for new ones :D But apparently I only use up the stuff I repurchase anyway...Whatever ;)
See ya!

Collective Use-It-Up post!

Hey everyone :)
You haven't heard a lot about Project Use-It-Up by me lately, but that doesn't mean that I didn't use anything up. I just decided I'd put it in one collective post, like I did it with my NOTDs. These things were used up lately:
- Synergen Washcreme, I already bought another bottle of this. I already mentioned it in my skincare routine *click*
- Essence Nail Oil, I already rebought this, too, because I like it :) Want a review??
- Yves Rocher Apricot Peeling, here's a review of it *click*. I like it, but right now I have another peeling to use.
- Yves Rocher showergel in Chocolate & Orange, I bought it this winter, and liked the scent a lot. I'd repurchase it, but unfortunately it was limited edition. :P What a pity! But the scent now isnt' that great anymore, because it's a winter scent, and we're now getting into spring :)
- p2 Nail Polish Thinner, I also repurchased this, because it really comes in handy sometimes :)
- RdLY clear care mascara, I use this to fix my brows and run out of it regularly. Have to get a new one!
- Alverde Hair Tip Fluid, I really liked this stuff, it worked well for my hair tips. Have to get another one of this!
- Nivea Ideal Finish Foundation in 02 Nude, I reviewed it here *click*. I liked it a lot, and I still have another bottle of this here, but right now I'm using the Astor Mattitude foundation *click*.

- Balea Cleansing Wipes for sensitive skin, they're ewre fine to use, but I didn't really like the scent, and they didn't remove my make-up too well. Won't rebuy these.

Well, that's what I used up lately. It's not that much, but still a few things. Unfortunately there are almost no  decorative cosmetics product in this use-it-up! post, because I switch my products up pretty often, so there's nothing I use that often that it's totally finished..
I'll see you soon!

My Foundation Routine

Hello there!
After showing you my Hair routine and my Skincare routine, I am gonna show you another routine of mine: my foundation routine!
I have a few pimples and breakouts and all that kind of stuff, so I go for medium to high coverage. I don't do this whole face stuff all the time, but for example when I go out I want my face to look even. Before I do any step of this routine, I wash my face and apply my moisturizer. The steps I do are shown in this skincare routine post *click*

1. The first thing I do is apply my foundation all over my face, making it even. The foundation I use is the Astor Mattitude HD Foundation in the color 02 Porcelain (*click* for a review). I use either my fingers, the Beliance foundation brush or, most perferably, the Sigma F80 Brush *click for a review*, depending on what I'm on the mood for.

2. I do have dark circles and blemishes and stuff, so in case the foundation didn't cover them up, I use a concealer. It's the Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer and I'm in the shade 04 rose beige, at least right now. Sometimes I switch it up with the Essence 3in1 concealer, in case I need a color corrector. *Click* here to get to know more about  a color corrector!
I apply it with either my fingers or the Beliance eyeshadow brush which is actually really good to apply concealer.

3. Then I set my face with my favorite powder, the CadeaVera powder in beige, and for that I use a powder brush from the Rossmann line For Your Beauty. I don't apply a lot of powder because I don't go for any more coverage, I just want to set it. I try to really work it into my skin and connect with the foundation, and that works really well with that brush, because it isn't so dense, so it gives more of a natural finish.

4. After that I apply my blush, bronzer and/or highlighter if I want to, and that's it.

What do you do for your foundation routine? I'd like to know!
xoxo, Misch

Review: Astor HD Mattitude Foundation

Hi guys,
even though I already found a foundation I like, the Nivea Ideal Finish Foundation which I reviewed here *click*. But since this one'll be discontinued soon and after I read some many good reviews about the Astor foundation on several blogs, I had to try it out :)

Information:
- called Astor HD Mattitude Foundation
- costs 8.99 Euros at most drugstores
- contains 30 ml
- has SPF 22
- is supposed to mattify your face really well and stay up to 16 hours
- available in 6 different shades

click onto the pic to enlarge it :)
Scent, color, coverage & consistency:
The foundation has a very strong scent, kinda floral and perfume-y. It's not really that great, and I wouldn't say it smells yummy, but for me it's okay. I'd say you smell it at the store, just in case you are sensitive to scents. There are quite a few colors available, pretty light ones, too. I'm in the shade 02 porcelain, which is darker than the Nivea Ideal Finish Foundation 02 Nude that I used before. It's a tiny bit too dark for me, but it actually adapts to my skin well. The coverage is not totally full, but it still covers a lot. I'd say it's full to medium coverage.
This is a liquid foundation, so the consistency is - well - liquid. But it's not runny or too thin.

right out of the pump
slightly applied
totally blended out
Application with the Beliance Foundation Brush:
I do like it this way, but it's my least favorite way to apply it from these 3 ways. It applies it nice and evenly, so it's fine :) The coverage is medium that way.

Application with my bare fingers:
It's very easy to apply it evenly with my fingers, you can blend it into your skin easily. But applying it this way means the coverage will be a little lighter, at least on me.

Application with the Sigma Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki F80 brush:
My favorite way :) Very easy to blend, and I especially like this brush, so it's perfect! Here is a review on it, *click*. The coverage is medium that way.

Finish & Wear:
It promises to stay for 16 hours and to minimize your pores. I can't say that it really lasts 16 hours, but it stays
pretty long, and when I apply it at 7 am and get home at 3 pm, it's still almost flawless, so really great last :)
It does minimize my pores a little bit, but you can only notice that when you look up close.
Since it's a mattifying foundation, it's not really suited for dry skin. I'd recommend to apply a good moisturizer before you add your foundation. It easily makes dry spots more visisble, so it's maybe not the best for dry skin. It has a very matte finish, even powdery, so I don't find you need to set it with powder.

Bottom Line:
I like this foundation a lot! I think I prefer it over the Nivea foundation I used to use. The finish and the wear is great, and I think it's just awesome!

Did you try out this foundation, too?
I'll see you later!
xoxo, Misch

Best of Beauty/ Favorites of 2010!

Hey there!
I know a lot of beauty gurus already did their favorites of the year of 2010 in the last days of that year, but I decided to do that now, since the new year has started! These are my favorites of the whole year instead of only the ones for the month of December :)
I will also sometimes mention just brands, because I got to know them this year and liked them. Here we go, my favorites:

- Jesse's Girl Stuff: I placed my first order there in summer this year, and I really like their stuff! So pretty colors, and great quality!

just some of my Jesse's Girl stuff
- The "NEW" Catrice: Catrice changed their whole nail polish line in spring of 2010, made so pretty colors, and then this fall they changed almost all of the rest of their line, and it's so good! The quality got so much better, it's amazing! Catrice is my favorite drugstore brand :)
some things from the whole great catrice stuff
- OPI nail polishes: This is another brand I discovered in 2010, and OPI is just so amazing :) Unfortunately a bit pricey in Germany, and now Coty bought it, so the polishes will probably get tested on animals :P but I still loved it this year.

just some of my OPI polishes to stand for them all
- China Glaze nail polishes: Discovered them in 2010 and immediately fell in love! So good quality and amazing colors :)
just 2 of my china glaze polishes to stand for them all
- Nivea Ideal Finish Foundation: This is actually the first foundation I ever bought, and I love it! I expected to have to look around and try different stuff until I find my favorite foundation, but I already did :) Here I wrote a review on it.
YAY!
- Essence Eyeliner Pen: I love this one so much because it is a felt-tip liner which is so easy to use! You can create the thinnest lines that are still opaque, I love it!

love it!

- Catrice Lipstick in Ocean Sunrise from the Oceana LE: Such a pretty color, a reddish pink, which I wore a lot in summer, fall and winter! So so pretty :)
pretty pretty lip color :)
- Blush and Highlighting Products: I love it! I fell in love with cheek products in 2010, especially blush and highlighters :) Glowy cheeks all the way! :)

just one of my favorite highlighting products
- Yves Rocher Summer Perfume "Aquarelles Vegetales": Y'all know that I love love love this perfume, I've been wearing it so often and can't get enough of it :)
yummy yummy scent <3

- Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara: This is my go-to mascara, I use it all the time and always buy a new bottle after I finished one :) Perfect mascara for me!
great stuff!
I think that's what they are, my favs for the whole year of 2010 :)
What were you're favorites? I'm sure I forgot about a lot, but I remember these the most :) You want a review of anything?
See ya,
xoxo, Misch

Nivea Ideal Finish Foundation Review + Use It Up! Product 3

Hi dear readers,
I told you I got the Nivea Beaute Ideal Finish Foundation in this haul, and I thought you might want to hear my thoughts on it!
Basic information:
It claims to give an ideal, even teint and to be longlasting. The foundation is oil-free and non-comedogenic (that means it won't clog your pores). According to the website, it has SPF 8 and contains Vitamine E. It costs something between 6.95 and 9.95 Euros, depending on where you buy it and it's available in 6 different colors. I'm using the color 02 Nude. It's supposed to give high coverage.
It comes in a tube that is in a natural color with a blue bottom and blue text.

Consistency and scent:
The consistency isn't really that liquid, it's more creamy, but still very light and easy to apply. It has a light scent, I'd describe it as a typical lotion/foundation scent. The smell is very light and only noticeable on the face in the first few minutes.
Application and coverage:
The foundation is easy to blend out and it doesn't get streaky, but it does sort of stick to the hair on you face, you want to make sure that it doesn't look weird. I applied it with my fingers and with two different brushes.
With my fingers it was really easy to blend it out and to achieve and even teint. The coverage was not really that high, I still had to use concealer, but if you are fine with medium coverage, this will work for you.
Then I applied it with the Essence Blush Brush.
Yeah, I know, it's a blush brush, but it worked really well! The coverage was now high, I didn't have to use any concealer, although I had some pimples and blackheads. The only downside to this was that I had to use more product, because the bristles of the brush seemed to absord more product than they gave to the skin.
The second brush I used was the Beliance Foundation Brush
(available at Douglas and very inexpensive!) and this one was really good, too! It gave the same even look as the Essence Blush Brush did, and it gave high coverage, too, but this one didn't absorb that much product!
So I prefer to apply it with the Beliance Brush.

Finish and wear:
It looks really even and gives high coverage and it looks a bit powder-y, so you might not even have to set it with powder.
I reallt lasted all day long without fading too much. It doesn't get greasy or oily over the day (even with my oily skin!) and it's still there at the end of the day.

Bottom line:
I really like this foundation! It didn't cause me any break-outs and it gives a nice evne teint with high coverage, so I'm totally happy with it. I don't know if you can really call it ideal, but that's different for every person.

What do you think? Have you already tried this one? Would you like to give it a try? Tell me!

Project Use It Up!: I finished my Peach Body Butter from TheBodyShop today.
I love this one, so I'll repurchase it soon, but not before I finished Project Use It Up!

Okay guys, I'll see y'all soon! Bye, Misch

Drugstore Haul

Hey guys,
today I have to show you a drugstore haul! I just got a few things and I thought you'd like to see them!
- Nivea Beaute Ideal Finish Foundation in 02 Nude (I needed a new foundation an this one had the color and consistency I wanted)
- Essence Nail Art collector's case (I will use this to store either nail rhinestones in it or pigment samples - it's perfect because you can open each compartment separately)
- Essence kajal pencil in 04 white (I needed a basic white pencil liner and I just picked this one up)
- Isana Med antibacterial hand gel (I was tired of my gel by Essence, so I bought this one because it has a really nice scent)
- Manhattan Spice up your nails nail polish in 77T (it's the perfect navy blue creme and I love it!)
- Hairwell Hair Mask anti hair damage (I love this one because it's so cheap and it cares the hair very well. It's just available at Netto.)
So, that's what I got. If you want a review of any of these products, just tell me! :)
I'll see you guys soon! Bye, Misch

Review: Vichy Aera Teint Fond de Teint Creme Satinee

Hey there!
I got to test the Vichy Aera Teint Fond de Teint Creme Satinee (such a long name!) recently, and I wanted to do a review about it! The color I tried out was 23 clair ivory, which was perfect for my skin tone! It's a liquid foundation for dry and sensitive skin. I don't have dry or sensitive skin, I have combination oily skin, but I still decided to give it a try! That's why I can't tell you if it works for dry or sensitive skin, I can just tell you how it worked on me.
The consistency is liquid but not runny, and it's really nice to apply. It blends well and it doesn't look cakey. It gives medium coverage, but I think you can build upon it to achieve higher coverage. It doesn't feel heavy on the skin, it's almost not noticeable. Another plus is that it moisturizes the skin lightly. The scent is a bit weird, but it's not overwhelming and it fades after a while.
I didn't buy this foundation, I just got a little sample size which contained 1,5 g. This amount was enough for a whole week, I used it seven times, so you don't really need a lot!
The foundation is - as far as I know - just available at pharmacies and on the internet. You can google it for more information and reviews, of course!

I'm sorry I can't show you any pictures, but I put all of the foundation is a little container and threw the packaging away before I took some pictures! :(

By the way: I decided to put my disclaimer on the side of the blog now, so I don't have to write it under every single post! If a product was given to me for free, I'll write a different disclaimer under the post, but if there is no disclaimer, then the one on the side is relevant.

I hope you found this review helpful and if you have more questions, leave a comment!
I'll see you soon! Bye, Misch

Disclaimer: I got this sample for free, but I'm not the only one who got it, and it wasn't given to me for this review. All opinions are 1oo percent honest.
