First post of 2015! Cheers to that.
When I was in London, we were at an event in Carnaby Street by chance. I'm gonna tell you more about it in a different post, but the event is the reason why I got this product. The whole street had 20% off everything, so I went to the MAC store and bought myself this beauty (where I had to queue up to get inside and do my shopping): MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade.
The MSFs in general are highlighting powders. Lightscapade in particular is a very light and special colour. It consists of a white-ish, yellow-ish golden base, which is set through with light blue and peach streaks. It's shimmer makes it look somewhat frosted, and the colours blend together to a very subtle shimmery white-ish gold.
What I love about Lightscapade is how wearable it is. The shimmer is so subtle that you don't have to worry about overdoing it, and you can easily layer it. I love to wear it daily, because it makes you look fresh and healthy, but not like you've put on tons of highlighter.
I also own a different MSF, called Soft & Gentle. It is way stronger, and the shimmer is more apparent.
MAC's MSFs contain 10g each, and retail for £23 (I got mine for £18,40) in the UK and 31€ here.
I can definitely recommend them!
Do you own any of the MSFs, and can maybe recommend another colour to me?
xx, Misch

August 2014 Favourites
With August already being over, it is time to show you my favourites from the past month!
MAC Patina
This is such a beautiful eyeshadow! It's of a medium brown shade, not too warm, and it's finish is a frost, which makes for a nice shimmer. I loved using this for all kinds of daily looks! Here you can see swatches of it.
Catrice Hollywood's Fabulous 40ties LE Blush
One of my all time favourite blushes. It's matte, which makes it wearable with any kind of look, and the nice rosewood pink colour is also great! Here's a review on it.
Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow No Pressure!
This cream eyeshadow is my new true love. It's just so versatile! You can wear it at any kind of opacity you like, make it neutral or dramatic, and it's super simple and quick to apply. Here are more detailed pictures of it.
Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother
A new product by Catrice, and one that can be used all the time. Its shine makes for a great look, but it's natural enough to be worn during day. It's also very caring and tastes great! Check out a review on it.
MAC MSF Soft & Gentle
This is one of the prettiest products I've even owned! Soft&Gentle is so beautiful, makes for the perfect highlight and is easy to apply. Can't get enough of its gorgeousness! Here you can see some swatches.
The Body Show Eyelash Curler
This has always been my eyelash curler, but this month especially I've been noticing what a great job it does! Really makes a difference with my lashes, I love it!
Yves Rocher Aquarelles Végétales Perfume
I'd completely forgotten about how much I used to love this perfume, and was so glad to discover my bottle was still smelling great and had enough left of it! Also reminds of a couple of summers ago when I used to wear it all the time.
Please let me know about your favourites of the month of August! Leave me a link to your post or just a comment telling me about it!
xoxo, M

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Soft & Gentle
A truly great birthday present is what I got from my best friends this year. They got me a MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in the colour Soft & Gentle.
It is a highlighting powder in a very pretty, golden and peach shade. It contains tons of shimmer particles, but they are very soft and not too big. I love how gorgeous this product is on its own, and how nice of a glow it creates on your cheeks!
The Mineralize Skinfinishes contain 10 g, and they retail for 31 €, at least here in Germany.
MAC has given their MSFs a new packaging recently, which is why mine might look a bit different from what you're used to. The colours, however, seem to have stayed the same.
There isn't really much more to say, I'm going to let the pictures do the talking now.
Does anyone of you also own Soft & Gentle?

MAC Patina Swatches
Hey there!
Today I'd like to show you some swatches of my first ever MAC eyeshadow that I recently purchased. The shade is called Patina.
Patina is a medium brown shade, not really warm, with a shimmer which is very very fine. The finish is called Frost.
It contains 1,5 gr and costs 18,50 Euros.
Pigmentation is really great, it is super soft and has a nice colour pay-off. I love how you can use it for any kind of look, from very light to dark and dramatic. A very versatile shade that I use a lot!
In case you are looking for something to compare it to or something similar, I swatched it next to Suspect from the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, and My First Copperware Party by Catrice. It falls rather in between those two shades, and they were the closest I was able to find in my collection.
Has anyone of you tried Patina?
xoxo, Misch
