Hey guys!
Today I just quickly wanna let you know that I'm gone for another week!
As a part of my French class this year, I'm going on a trip to France with a few fellow classmates! We're going to visit Alsace, a beautiful region near the German border. We'll be staying in Colmar and Strasbourg, two cities I really look forward to seeing!
So I'll be away for one week, hope you won't miss me too much!
I'll see you soon with some pictures from my hopefully fun trip!
Have a good time,
until then,
xoxo, Misch

NOTD September 21st: OPI - I Brake For Manicures
Hey there!
Today I'd like show you an OPI nail polish of mine, I Brake For Manicures.
I Brake For Manicures is a very dark creme. It's a smoky purple grey shade, but so dark that it looks almost black. It does have some muted and muddy qualities to it which make it look different than a plain blackened shade.
Application was good, it's very squishy and smooth. At first it looked a bit patchy, but the coverage is already great with 2 coats. I did 3 here to be sure.
I Brake For Manicures was part of the Touring America Collection from Fall 2011. It should, however, still be available at some places.
I really like this shade, it looks elegant but not boring, and it's a nice shade for autumn!
What do you think of it?
xoxo, Misch

Review: Astor Lipcolor Butter 015 Cheeky Cherry
Hey there!
Today it's time for a review of another one of Astor's Soft Sensation Lipcolor Butters, this time in the shade 015 Cheeky Cherry.
Information:- Astor Soft Sensation Lipcolor Butter
- shade 015 Cheeky Cherry, which is a bright red with blue undertones
- contains very few shimmer particles
- has a soft vanilla scent
- called a mix between a lipstick, lipgloss and lipbalm
- costs 5,95 Euros
- price is okay
- very easy to apply, even with the bright color
- great pigmentation
- feels very smooth on the lips, like a lip balm
- great scent
- has slight shine, and the shimmer is barely visible
Negatives:
- easily wears off when eating and drinking
- doesn't really fade gradually but gets a bit patchy
I really like both shades a lot! The quality of the Lipcolor Butters is really nice, they feel so good on and that's what I love them for.
Have you tried any of the shades?
xoxo, Misch

NOTD September 19th: Catrice - Earnie & Birdy
Hi guys!
Today I'd like to show you one of Catrice's current nail polishes called Earnie & Birdy.
Earnie & Birdy is a yellow color. It has slight orange undertones but is mostly a true sunshine yellow. It has a slight shimmer that appears to be multi-colored, but it's only visible in direct sunlight.
Application was fine, given that yellow shades are always a little difficult to deal with. It tends to look a bit patchy, but it's not that bad. I did 3 coats here.
I really like how fun this shade is, but it's nothing unique nonetheless. Go and take a look at it if you like the color, it's part of Catrice's current permanent line.
What do you think of it?
xoxo, Misch

Sleek Blush by 3 Flame
Hey everyone!
Today I'd like to show you swatches of my newest blush!
A couple of great friends of mine recently went to London, and they brought this gorgeous blush back for me! It's an awesome present and I love it!
It's Sleek's Blush by 3, a small blush palette containing 3 different shades. The one they picked out for me is called Flame.
It contains the following three shades:
Furnace, a warm brownish shade with coral orange undertones to it. It has a very slight shimmery sheen to it. It's the most natural of the palette and the pigmentation isn't too strong, so it would be very very hard to overblush.
Bon Fire, a true matte red. It's hot red and incredibly pigmented. You'd have to be very careful when wearing it!
Molten, a orange-ish red shade with a strong golden shimmer. It's again very very strongly pigmented and bright!I love how these shades are all so unusual, something very different from my typical coral pink blushes I always use! They picked great colors, the quality of all shades is awesome, and I love wearing them!
Have you tried any of these shades?

Review: Lush Dream Cream
Hello everyone!
Today I'd like to review Lush's Dream Cream, a present that I recently received from a lovely friend! :)
Information:
- Lush Dream Cream
- a lotion for hands and body
- vegan
- contains 230 ml
- made for sensitive skin
- is listed on the homepage for 18,95 Euros
- contains oat milk, rose water, lavender and chamomile
Positives:
- light texture
- it's vegan
- easy to apply
- nice scent (for me at least)
- soaks in rather quickly
- you only need a small amount of product
- moisturizes nicely
- lots of good ingredients
Negatives:
- price
- it does leave a lotion-y feeling on your body like it leaves a thin residue
- the scent is definitely not everyone's cup of tea, you have to like it!
I'm personally very happy with this lotion! I use it on my hands pretty much daily, and on the rest of my body whenever I feel like it. I probably would have never gotten it for myself, but it's a great gift I truly appreciate :)
Has anyone of you tried it?

NOTD September 16th: OPI - German-icure by OPI
Hi there!
Today I'd like to show you the final nail polish from my recent OPI haul, German-icure by OPI!
German-icure is a deep reddish brown shade. It contains lots and lots of warm red shimmer that adds depth and an interesting touch to it.
Application was good, it's a bit sheer at first but then is already fairly opaque after 2 coats. I did 3 thin ones here.
German-icure was part of 2012's Fall Collection, the Germany Collection. It should still be available, though, as my friend was able to buy it at a store only recently!
The gorgeous glow of the color is unfortunately not visible in my pictures, that's due to the lack of sunlight here these days. But you get an idea of it when you look at the bottle in the pictures :)
I really love this shade for autumn, it's so gorgeous!
What do you think of it?

Spotted: Catrice Thrilling Me Softly LE
Hey everyone!
Today I'm going to share my thoughts about another current LE with you guys. This time it's Catrice's Thrilling Me Softly LE.
This LE contains 1 set of Lace Patch Eyeliners, 2 eyeshadow trios, 1 Cat Eyes Eyeliner Pen, 1 mascara, 3 lip stains, 2 blush sticks and 5 nail polishes.
The promo pics can be seen here *click*.
The Lace Patch Eyeliners are a set of eyeliners to stick onto your lid. They look very artful and actually a lot like they are paper lashes!
The eyeshadow trios contain both light and dark colors, matte and shimmery. Pigmentation seemed to be okay, but not utterly great.
The Cat Eyes Eyeliner Pen is a felt-tip eyeliner, but with a very thick tip. It is tapered, so I'm sure you might be able to do comparably small lines with it, but I guess it's mainly intended for a very bold line.
The mascara is called Better Than Fake Lashes, and promises volume, lenght and curl. It's also part of the permanent line.
The lip stains come in great colors, two very dark, one rather nude but still not too light. They appeared to be very very pigmented.
The blush sticks come in nice bright shades of red and pink, and they contain no shimmer. I was, however, very hestistant with them, remembering the very bad quality of one of their previous attempts at a blush stick. You can read about it here *click*.
Last but not least, the nail polishes. Really great shades, shimmers and cremes, match the collection perfectly. Everything from nude to dark.
After all, this is a very pretty LE that works very well with all of the colors and products it contains. I didn't really find anything to my liking, but I'm sure there are some products worth a try!

NOTD September 14th: Essie - Not Just A Pretty Face
Hey there!
Today I'd like to show you a nail polish I recently picked up, Not Just A Pretty Face by Essie.
Not Just A Pretty Face is a nude pink color. It is rather warm-toned and a creme, very shiny too.
Application was really great! With the first coat it seems very very sheer, but it builds up nicely after 2 already! I did 3 coats here.
In Germany, Not Just A Pretty Face sells right now as part of the Russian Roulette Collection, which constist of a couple of permanent shades. I know you can get it online, too!
I really love this nude color, it works nicely with my skin tone and I really enjoy wearing it!

Spotted: Essence Be Loud LE
Hi guys!
Today I'd like to share my thoughts concerning Essence's current Be Loud LE.
This LE contains 3 eyeshadow duos, 1 jumbo eye pencil, 2 jumbo lip pencils, 2 blushes, 5 nail polishes, 1 nail art tool and 1 beauty bag.
All products can be seen here *click*.
The eyeshadow duos are all shimmery. They contain somewhat natural colors, all very wearable.
The jumbo eye pencil is of a greyish brownish shade, and said to be waterproof. I imagine it might be used best as a base underneath actual eyeshadows.
The jumbo lip pencils are actually called Jumbo Sheer Pencils. They are of bright colors, pink and coral, and are said to be rather sheer and shiny.
The blushes have a really fun military design on them, each consisting of 3 shades. One is rather warm-toned with peach shades, the other colder with pink shades. Both are slightly shimmery.
The nail polishes all seemed to be cremes, available in both bright and more muted colors. There is also a very bright and colorful glitter top coat among them.
The nail art tool is the same double-ended dotting tool they've had in their permanent line for quite some time already.
The beauty bag is rather cute, too, matching the theme of the LE.
After all, this is a nice little LE that is definitely worth a look. I didn't find anything I liked enough to buy, but maybe you did? Let me know!

Review: Maybelline Fit Me Concealer 10
Hi there!
Today I'd like to review a product I've been trying recently, Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer! Here you go:
Information:
- Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
- shade 10, lightest one available
- contains 6,8 ml
- costs 5,50 Euros
- has a sponge tip applicator
- mainly intended to be used for concealing under-eye circles
Positives:
- price is fine
- nice variety of shades, also very light ones as this here
- nice light formula
- easy to apply little dots around the eyes with the applicator
- easy to blend
- covers up nicely, but not too much
- looks very natural
Negatives:
- can enhance dry areas
- looks unnatural if not blended enough
- doesn't cover darker areas too well
Here's how I'd like to show you the amount of coverage it gives:
There's this little mole I have on my arm, on which I then dabbed the concealer.
After blending that in just roughly, it looks like this:
So after all, I'm quite content with this concealer! It works great for the dark circles underneath my eyes, and that's what I bought it for. It's not the best thing I've ever tried, but it works fine for its purpose.Has anyone of you tried this concealer?

NOTD September 11th: OPI - Magazine Cover Mouse
Hi guys!
Today I'd like to show you the next color from my mini OPI haul, Magazine Cover Mouse!
Magazine Cover Mouse is a pinkish red color with both golden and silverish glitter particles in it. It is a Liquid Sand nail polish, meaning it dries to a matte and textured finish that is very glittery nonetheless.
Application was really good. Due to the huge amounts of glitter the nail polish is a little bit thick, but it's still fine. It is also highly pigmented, meaning you get great coverage right away. I did 2 coats here.
Magazine Cover Mouse was part of the Couture De Minnie Collection from this summer, and should still be easy to get.
I really like how fun this color is! In the bottle it looks way warmer and more golden, but once applied it has these raspberry qualities to it that I like a lot. A gorgeous shade!
What do you think of it?

LE Previews for October 2013
Hey guys!
Today I'd like to show you the first LE previews for the month of October!
Essence has announced 2 new LEs.
The first one will be called Beauty Beats - Girls on Tour with Justin Bieber. You can see the promo pics here *click*. This one clearly addresses a younger group of girls. The products look quite okay, nothing too exciting. I'm personally just not a big fan of Justin Bieber, so this isn't really something for me.
The other Essence LE for October is called Metal Glam, and it can be seen here *click*. It is clearly metallic-themed, not exactly my taste either unfortunately.
Catrice's LE for October is going to be another one of their palette LEs. It contains, as in the previous two years I believe, 3 palettes with each 6 eyeshadows, 2 blushes, 1 mini brush and 1 mini eyeliner. Then there are some matching nail polishes available too, this time glittery ones. The LE will be called Arts Collection, each palette inspired by a certain period of art. You can see it here *click*.
To be honest, none of these LEs really excite me. I'll have to see them at the store, but for now there's nothing that I will be looking out for.
What do you think of them?

NOTD September 9th: OPI - Tiffany Case
Hey there!
Today I'd like to show you the first of my 3 new OPI nail polishes from my latest haul! This is Tiffany Case.
Tiffany Case is a light blue glitter nail polish. The glitter particles are of a lot of different sizes, mainly rather small. There are also some rather big and round silvery ones in there.
Tiffany Case is of OPI's Liquid Sand finish, meaning it dries matte and to a textured, kind of gritty finish.
Application was really good. Due to the lots and lots of glitter, it has a somewhat thick consistency, but it's not problematic. Since it's so densely packed with the glitter particles, it's very opaque. I did 2 normal coats here.
Tiffany Case was part of the Bond Girls Collection that was released this Spring. It should still be available!
I really love this shade, it's so much fun and reminds me of a pool :D

Mini Haul from America
Hey there!
A good friend of mine recently went to America, and being the sweetheart that she is, she got me some things I asked her to buy for me :)
First of all, candy! I love love love Peanut Butter Cups and simply don't understand why they aren't sold here. She got me a couple of the mini-sized ones, which is just lovely! They are delicious!
Then she got me this month's edition of Vogue. This is such a huge issue! It holds over 900 pages, which is a ton! It's seriously heavy, but full of great things to read! I love Jennifer Lawrence on the cover, and the story about Benedict Cumberbatch is great! :)
And then, some nail polishes. OPIs, obviously, because this way I can save the horrendously huge shipping costs. She got me these three:

Tiffany Case was part of this Spring's Bond Girls Collection and is very pigmented, I did 2 coats here.
OPI - Magazine Cover Mouse
Magazine Cover Mouse is a reddish pink shade, again full of glitter. In the bottle it looks more gold-ish, but once applied it has some cool-toned raspberry qualities to it. This is another Liquid Sand nail polish. 2 coats shown.
Magazine Cover Mouse was part of this Summer's Couture De Minnie Collection.
OPI - German-icure by OPI
And the color I've been waiting to get for quite a while now!
German-icure by OPI is a deep reddish brown fall shade. It's full of shimmer and looks very very warm.
It applies nicely with 2 coats here.
German-icure was part of last Fall's Germany Collection.
I'm in love with all of the stuff she got me, they are great things! Thank you so much again, Jo! :)
What do you think of my little haul?
xoxo, Misch
