Review: Catrice Eyebrow Set

Today I'd like to talk about a product I've been trying for a couple of weeks now.
This is Catrice's Eyebrow Set.

It comes in a little black box. Once you open the lid, you have a mirror in the top part and two colours of eyeshadow for your eyebrows. You can then also pull out a little drawer on the bottom which contains a tiny double-ended tool with an angled brush and a spoolie on the other, as well as small tweezers.
The set is available as part of Catrice's permanent line, and retails for 3,95€. It contains 4g of product.

The eyeshadows are both of a matte brown shade, the top one lighter than the bottom one. At first they looked a little grey-ish to me, but that only comes from them being more ashen than red-toned. Which is actually a very good thing, because it will look very natural with any kind of brow.
The texture of the shadows is very smooth and silky, and they have a nice colour pay-off.

Both tools are actually quite useful. They are very small, and therefore not the best ones ever in terms of handling, but they work fine. Especially on travels, when you don't have the space to pack a lot of extra things, they can definitely do a sufficient job. On a daily basis, however, I prefer to use my specific tools.

I really enjoy doing my eyebrows with this set. What I especially love is that you can mix the colours according to your needs and wants, and are therefore not limited in the amount of different looks you can do.
I personally also prefer eyeshadow for my brows over eyebrow pencils, because they stay a lot longer for me and look more natural. And this set is everything I want and need! It has variety, tools for an emergency, is small and handy as well as inexpensive. What's not to love?

Has anyone of you tried this set? What do you think?

EOTD February 14th: Catrice FeMALE LE Eye Aquarelle Duo Chalk Look

Hey there!
When I posted the swatches to Catrice's FeMALE LE, I was asked to do a look with the eyeshadow chalks, and here it is!
All I used for this look is this duo. I applied the reddish bronze color on my lid, and actually applied this one wet so you can tell the metallic shimmer better. Then I used the darker brown in my crease and blended it out. I finished it with mascara, RdL's Ultimate Volume Mascara. Super simple!
For the Aquarelle Duo Chalks I used a normal flat eyeshadow brush, and that did work nicely. They do tend to cause fall-out, though, and be chalky, like the name already says. But it still works!
I'll try them a few more times, and then, in a few days, a final review will follow :)
What do you think of it?

EOTD October 16th: Nude Look and Bright Eyes

Hi guys,
y'all wanted some neutral looks and here is the first one I'm gonna show you!

First you want to have completely clean eyes. Apply eyecream if you use one.
Then you want to apply concealer to your undereye area, especially to your dark circles. I used the Maybelline dream mousse concealer in 04 rose beige
Next you want to define you eyebrows. I first applied the Rival de Loop eyebrow pencil in medium brown, and then fixed it with the Rival de Loop Young browgel.
Now you want to apply you eyeshadow base. This will even out your lid, keep the eyeshadows from creasing, makes them appear brighter and lets them last longer. I used the Rival de Loop Young eyeshadow base, but the old one without shimmer.
Apply a matte brown color to your crease, using a fluffy blending brush. It's not supposed to darken the look, just to give your eyes more dimension. I used Essence Soft Matt eyeshadow in silky smooth.
Then you want to put white eyeliner (pencil liner) underneath the arch of your brow and to your inner corner, this will brighten up you eyes. I used the Essence kajal pencil in white.
Blend the white eyeliner to achieve the natural look.
Finish off by using brown or black mascara on both your top and bottom lashes. I used the Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express.
That's the finished look!
It's super qucick and really easy! I hope you liked it!
Bye, Misch
