Spotted: Essence, Catrice and Manhattan :)

Hey there,
this is just a very quick post to show you the new Limited Editions out there, today I'm not doing a over all thoughts review kinda thing, because I'm kinda in a rush. These are the LEs:

Essence Fairytale LE:

really cute design, pretty nice products, good idea behind it. The polishes are all really pretty, definitely take a look at them!
I bought two nail polishes, 02 pixie dust and 05 tinka's dress.

Catrice Glamourama LE:

nice colors, especially for the holiday season and new year's eve, but nothing that special or interesing. I bought nothing because I already own similar stuff. Here you can find the products on Pinkmelon.

Manhattan Diamonds are a girls... LE:

okay, not too different from normal things, the polishes are pretty. I bought nothing.
This one isn't available on Pinkmelon, sorry.

Did you spot any of these LE as well? What did you buy?
I'll see you soon :)

NOTD November 27th: Nail Art: Summer Palm Tree

Hey everyone!
Today I have another nail art design from Cutepolish that I recreated: a summer palm tree.
That's what you need:
- base coat (I used Essence pro white french)
- a pale torquoise color (I used China Glaze - For Audrey)
- a mid toned blue (I used Astor Fash'n Studio in 70)
- a pale yellow (I used Essence cute as hell - 01 naughty but nice)
- a cosmetics sponge
- a black polish (I used p2 210 eternal)
- a toothpick
- top coat (I used Essence nail art sealing top coat)
That's how to do it:
1. Apply your base coat.
2. Paint all of your nails with a pale torquoise color, add as many coats as needed.
3. Pour some pale yellow polish onto a paper and pick some up with your cosmetics sponge. Sponge it onto the bottom of your nails, it stands for the sand. Just put it onto the nails where you want your design to be. I took the right index and ring finger and the left middle one.
4. Get some blue polish onto your paper and pick it up with a different side of the sponge. Get it onto the fingers that already have the yellow polish on them. The blue color stands for the ocean.
5. Now it's time to draw the palm tree onto the fingers that already have the sponged colors on them. Take some black polish and put it onto your nails with a toothpick. Take your time with it and draw it piece by piece.
6. Seal your design with a top coat of your choice.
And that's how easy it is to do this beautiful design :)
Bye everyone!
xoxo, Misch

Little drugstore haul :)

Hey everyone!
First of all, HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I'm so thankful for everyone of you who reads my blog and leaves comments and I want all of you to have a happy holiday :)
I just lately got to the drugstore and got a few good deals, so I just had to pick something up :) Here we go:
Manhattan Party Glam LE eyeshadow palette "soft nude"
this is one of the baked palettes from the Party Glam LE, the most neutral one.
It contains 5 very shimmery well pigmented colors, from champagne to brown. I like it :)

Manhattan Soft Mat Lip Cream in 56K
this lip cream was in the Tender Touch LE and now got into the permanent line, I showed them here already and did a mini review about them back then as well and now I got one. I love the vanilla taste :) But the color isn't as nude as it looks on the packaging, one the lips it's pretty bright...

For your beauty make-up sponges - yeah, I think this one speaks for itself, doesn't it?

Rival de Loop Young LE (??) nail polish in 01 glamouros pink - I don't remember the name of the LE, but I had to get this color. It's a clear base with pink and multi-colored round sparkles in it :) It needs a ton of layers (to get it opaque I did like 6 on my nail wheel...) but it's a perfect effect polish :)

Okay guys, that's what I got :)
I'll see ya!

Review + NOTD November 23rd: p2 crackling top coat

Bonjour tout le monde,
this is a little review and NOTD in one post :) As I told you in this haul post, I've been wanting to try out this top coat for a long time now, and I have to say: all my expectations are fulfilled :)
I'm wearing it over a really pretty reddish pink frost color, nr. 10 by Chresy. You can see where I got this polish here and the color on it's own here *click*.
You can get this crackling polish at dm and it's about 2 Euros.
I love love love the effect. It's amazing and so so stylish and unique :)
It works really easily, just paint your nails with a color of your choice and let that dry. Then apply the top coat quicky (that's important) all over the nail. Don't go over the color again, because it dries so fast. It'll start to crackle almost immediately and turn matte. You can of course add a clear top coat to make it shiny. I actually prefer to not add a clear top coat, because I think the texture change from matte to shiny (the color underneath) makes it even more interesting. But if you do that, too, keep in mind that the polish might chip off more easily, but I don't think it's that bad.
Mini review for the crackling top coat:
++POSITIVE++
+ inexpensive
+ pretty easy to get when you're in Germany
+ so pretty effect
+ works well and easily
+ dries fast

--NEGATIVE--
[- could be too fast drying for some people]

So, I hope you liked this post :) Let me now if you tried this one out as well and I'll see you guys next time!
xoxo, Misch

My Skincare Routine

Hey guys :)
I thought I might show you my skin care routine, just because I stopped using the Clinique line a few weeks ago. I know that there are a ton of young people out there, dealing with pimples, acne and blemishes, and some spend so much money on expensive skin care products that don't work after all.
I found a inexpensive line at the drugstore that works for my skin, and I think it's a good idea to show this one to you. Of course, every skin is different, please keep that in mind! So I can't promise you this will work for you, but it might, and even if it doesn't - it's very inexpensive!
The products I'm talking about are from Synergen, from the line for skin with blemishes and stuff. They're the ones that come in navy blue packagings.
My Skin Care Routine:
MORNING:
First, I wash my face using the Synergen Wash Creme for skin with blemishes. It contains little peeling particles which I think is really nice, and they're not too harsh. It also cleanses my skin really nicely and leaves it very clean. but not dried out.
Then I just use the Synergen Hydro-Fluid for skin with blemishes. It has a nice light consistency, like a gel, but when you apply it to your face, it kinda turns into a more rich lotion. I really like it, but it might not be moisturizing enough for people with dry skin.
And that's it!
NIGHT:
Again, I wash my face using the Synergen Wash Creme. This one gets rid off all of my make-up, so I don't need an additional make-up remover. When I wore a lot of make-up, I wash my face a second time using this product, just to cleans it more thoroughly.
Next, I use the Synergen Toner for skin with blemishes. I don't use this every night, just when I feel I need it. I don't think it's good to use it that often, because it contains alcohol and that can dry out your skin. That's also the reason why I don't use it in the morning.
When I have an extremely big pimple or something, I use the Synergen Anti-Spot-Gel. It works really well and dries out any pimples pretty fast.
I don't use a moisturizer at night.
Once A Week:
I exfoliate my skin once a week and for that I use the Yves Rocher Apricot Peeling. I really like it, and it makes my skin super-squeaky-clean :)
In winter, I sometimes add a moisturizing mask, but that one is kind optional for me and I don't even have a regular one I grab for, I just get one that seems nice ;)

This is the first time I have a skin care routine that just uses products from one brand (except for the exfoliator). Normally I kinda switch it up...don't know, maybe it's because these work so well for me. If I had to pick my favorite product out of this routine, it would be the Wash Creme.
Do you use any of these products as well? Or what do you use it your skin care routine? I'd like to know :)
Until then!
xoxo, Misch

TAG: My Make-up Story

Hi guys, here's a tag for you!
1. How old were you when you started wearing makeup?
Well, I when I was about 11 years old, I would start to look at make-up like most of the girls in my age, but I didn't buy anything and I had like no idea about it at all. But when I was in 6th grade, I was about 12 years old, I started to wear mascara and nothing else. And when I started to get pimples and kinda got into more looking better and stuff, I was about 13, I started to wear concealer as well. And like last year about this time, I really got into make-up.

2. How did you get into makeup?
I've always been a very girly girl and you know now when I did really get into it, and that was because of youtube. The first make-up video I watched was Watermelon Nails by JulieG713, and I liked it so much and her, so I watched more. I started to watch more people's videos and since then I really got into it and learned a lot.

3. What are some of your favorite brands?
I like a lot of brands, and you know I mainly like drugstore stuff, and right now it's probably Catrice because they transformed so well. And I like OPI as well :)

4. What does makeup mean to you?
I think make-up is such a great thing. I don't use make-up to hide my no-make-up self and I think it's not really worth doing that. You should totally stay true to yourself, but make-up can help you enhance your features. Make-up can also show your creativity and it can totally change you :) It's a nice way to express yourself and show the people how you are and what you like. I'm not superficial and that's not what I have make-up for.

5. If you could only wear 4 products on your face what would they be?
Um...probably foundation, eyebrow pencil, mascara and lipgloss.

6. What is your favorite thing about makeup?
Makeup is amazing. For this question I would probably say something like in number 4, but the main thing I like about it is that you can totally change, be someone different and have so much fun with it.

7. What do you think about drugstore makeup vs high end makeup?
Well, you know I'm mainly into drugstore make-up, just because I can't afford high end make-up. I think that there are both good and bad products available in both categories. It also depends on what you want and how much money you're going to invest into these things. It depends what you're going for and stuff, but there is definitely no need to just have high end products.

8. What is one tip of advice you can give to a beginner?
I know probably most people would say this, but it's really true: Practice is key. Just keep on trying and you'll get better :)

9. What is one makeup trend you never understood?
When people line their lips with a very dark color but don't fill them in. I'm sure you know what I mean :) Don't like that.

10. What do you think about the beauty community on YouTube?
I think it's great, there are these so amazing people, and I really enjoy watching them. But you also have to keep in mind that there are some fake people that only do it because they get money for it. I would have never thought that there was such a huge community, but it feels great to know about people out there that feel the same as you about make-up and stuff.

To me, this is an important thing to do, because I don't want anyone to think I'm a superficial person. The answers I wrote should probably give you an idea of that.
I want everyone of my readers to do this tag :) Let me know if you really do so and I'll see you guys later.
xoxo, Misch
BTW, this is my 100th post :) Yay!! And thanks so much to all of my lovely readers :)

NOTD November 14th: Hello Kitty Design

Hi there!
Today I did a nice nail design :) I got the idea from cutepolish from youtube, and that's where I also got the Hello Kitty Faces, so check it out :)
That's what you need:
- base coat (I used Essence Pro White French base coat)
- pink cream nail polish (I used RdL nail polish in ??)
- opaque white cream nail polish (I used Essence stampy polish in white)
- cream black nail polish (I used p2 210 eternal)
- tooth pick or dotting tool (I used the Essence nail art stylist)
- Hello Kitty faces (I got mine here and printed them out)
- top coat (I used Essence nail art sealing top coat)

That's how to do it:
1. Paint all your nails with a base coat of your choice.
2. Paint all your nails with a pink cream, except for the ring fingers. Paint those cream white. Do a second or third coat if needed.
3. Take a piece of paper and put a drop of black and white polish on it. Get some color (one after the other) onto your dotting tool or tooth pick and put some random dots in both colors on your pink colored nails.
4. Cut out your Hello Kitty faces and color in the bow with a pink color, either pencil or polish.
5. Get some top coat on the white colored nails and place the Hello Kitty faces on them. This will make the stay there.
6. Get some black and pink polish onto your paper and put dots around your Hello Kitty faces using your tooth pick or dotting tool.
7. Fix everything with top a coat.

That's how easy it is to create these cute, fun nails :) Make sure to check out the video by Cutepolish.
Do you want more tutorials in this step by step form? Leave a comment!
Until next time, xoxo, Misch

EOTD November 13th: Essence Metallics LE Quad

Hello dear readers,
today I did a really nice kinda settle smokey eye using the Essence Quad "03 Copper Rulez" from their Metallics LE. Here you can find my thoughts on the LE and swatches *click*.
Now I did a look using this quad, and I really like how it turns out. The color pigmentation is nice and they work together really well. The colors are both warm and cold, so it's not too much from one side :) They're all shimmery as well.
I first placed the champagne color on my inner corner, and then the bronze on my lid. The grey color got into my crease, almost all the way in, not too high, but do that after your personal preference. Then I used the brownish black to darken up the outer v-area. On the lower lashline, I blended the grey crease color down there to kinda get a smokey touch to it. Last, I placed the champagne color underneath my brow as a highlight and lined my top lashline with the brown gel eyeliner. Don't forget to add mascara!
I really like this look and it's easy to do. Also, with this palette you can create both dark and natural looks, so that's nice, too.
Did you get this quad as well? Or do you have something you like to use like that?
I'll see you guys next time!
xoxo, Misch

Spotted + Haul from dm

Hey everyone,
today I spotted 2 limited editions and I have little haul :)
Spotted:
p2 Meet me at 12.30 LE:
This one has pretty nice neutral and basic stuff, looked pretty nice.

p2 ready to wear LE:
This one has pretty nice stuff as well, mainly natural, so it's good for most people.

I'm sure there are some reviews about these LE on a few blogs, so check them out if you're interested :)

You know, lately I've been pretty good about not buying stuff...but when I went to dm and I just couldn't leave the store without buying something :)
That's what I got:
- Alverde Hair-tips-fluid: I got this one because I'm growing out my hair and it's getting really long now and I need to take care of my tips...hope it'll work, expect a review in a few weeks.
- Alverde eyeshadow quad in chocolate: It's a really pretty neutral quad and it's perfect for everyday looks, but it's also nice to darken up some looks.
- Balea Cocoa Body Butter: This one smells so so good :) It's totally like cocoa and chocolate and I love it :)
- p2 crackling topcoat: I'm sure by now everyone out there knows about crackling topcoats, so I won't explain it here (just in case you don't know it (which isn't really possible), go google it), but I wanted this one ever since it came out and everytime I was searching for it, it was sold out. But now I got it!
- p2 color victim nail polish in 042 being in heaven: a really pretty sheer baby light blue. Like it :)
- p2 color victim nail polish in rich&royal - I mentioned that this is a dupe for Sephore by OPI - Metro Chic here already, check it out :)
- Essence Nail Art Stampy Polish in white - This is the only opaque, tip-ex-like white I was able to find, so I got this one.

So, that's my haul! Do you own any of these things as well? What do you think of them?
I'll see you later! xoxo, Misch

Dupe + NOTD November 7th: p2 rich & royal and being in heaven

Hi there!

Today I'm wearing a really pretty color, or actually two! I just couldn't decide which one to use this time, and these colors don't even look that bad togehter, so I put both on my nails :)
I painted my ring fingers with p2 being in heaven, a pale blue. I just did these two fingers with it because the polish is sheer, so I needed 4 coats, and I didn't want to do that on all of my fingers...the other nails are painted with p2 rich & royal, a nice violett-ish taupe color. It's supposed to be a dupe for Sephora by OPI - Metro Chic. Honestly, I have no idea if that's true, because I don't own the Sephora color, but I saw some comparisons...and there it seemed to be a dupe.
I like both of the colors a lot, and the rich & royal color needed just two coats to be opaque.
Do you like these colors as well? Do you think they look fine together? Tell me :)
Until next time, guys!
xoxo, Misch

Skincare Tip: Steam Bath

Hello everyone,
today I have a skincare tip for you! It's something I like to do as well, especially in fall and winter.

What do I need?
- water
- something to boil water
- a towel
- a bowl
- something good for your skin to put into the water, for example camomile tea
- optional: skin care products/masks

How to do a steam bath?
First, boil water. While it gets hot, remove all of you make-up and pin your hair back. Pour the hot water into a bowl and put something in it that helps your skin, for example camomile tea or some lemon. Then let it cool down for a short while so it's not too hot for your face. Hold your face over the bowl and put the towel over your head so none of the steam can go away. Then breath in steam and stay like this for 5 to 10 minutes, if you like to, you can also do it longer. You will sweat, so wash your face afterwards and use a product if you want to.

How does it work?
The steam will open up you pores and help to cleanse them. It'll bring all of the bad stuff, bacteria and dirt to the surface, leaving your pores really clean. Sweating will also help clearing your skin from bad stuff. When you wash your face afterward, it'll leave the pores still open, so that's the perfect time to do a mask or use a really rich moisturizer because since the pores are open, they can absorb the product better and it'll work more for your skin. It can break you out the day after you did the steam bath, just because it brings all of the bacteria and stuff to the surface. But these breakout will disappear pretty soon. Steam baths will also help if you have a cold or something.
It's definitely worth doing often, like once or twice a week.

Personally, I really like this skincare tip. It works for my skin and it's so relaxing, too :)
Tell me if you try it out!
Bye, Misch

Spotted: The New Catrice Permanent Line!

Hello dear readers,
as some of you might know, Catrice changed all of their nail polishes into a new design in spring. Now they designed a lot of products new and got them prettier. And as they changed the designs, they also changed the actual products. Not everything yet, but a big part of the permanent line.
These things are new:
- 3 new Ultimate Nail Lacquers
- 32 new Absolute Eye Color Mono Eyeshadows
- 2 different new lipgloss lines
- a lot of different mascaras
- brushes
- multicolored powders
- new eyeshadow duos
- new smokey eyes kits
- a brow kit

I really like all of these products, they got so pretty and they're so good quality! The eyeshadows are really well pigmented and everything has these amazing cute names :) Catrice turned into a way better brand in both look and quality. Earlier, it wasn't that amazing products, but now, WOW! I really have to say: Well done, Catrice, it's perfect!
So far, I just got one eyeshadow, but I'll get more, definitely! The color I got is called 070 Mr. Copper's Fields, so adorable :)
Have you already seen the new Catrice Permanent Line? How do you like it, are you as amazed as I am? I'd like to know!
Until next time, xoxo, Misch

October 2010 Favs

Hey Beauties,
believe it or not, October is already over! Of course, this month I had a few special products I used the most, and I'm gonna show them now!

Alverde Baked Blush in 10 Peach - such a pretty and highly pigmented color! Love it so much, wore it every day.
OPI I'm Suzi & I'm a Chocoholic - the perfect fall nail polish, I wore it two weeks straight and I just couldn't get enough of it :)
120 palette - I did so many Halloween looks for this blog this month, and so I needed it all the time. There are so many colors in it, I love it.
As you might notice, there aren't that many favorites of mine this month...that's just because I didn't have time to do any different looks than my everyday looks and the Halloween ones I did a few times, so there isn't that much interesting that doesn't belong to my everyday routine. Because I think, if I did mention my products from my everyday routine, just because I use them so often, I would have the same products to mention every month. And that's kinda boring, isn't it?
What were your favs for the month of October?
I'll see you soon! xoxo, Misch
