Review: Rival de Loop Aqua Spray

Hey guys,
today I want to review Rival de Loop's Aqua Spray, which I already mentioned in my August Favorites.
Information:
  • Rival de Loop Aqua Spray Aloe Vera
  • available at Rossmann
  • contains 75ml
  • costs 1,25 Euros
  • is basically water in a bottle with a small diffuser to spray it onto your face
  • is supposed to vitalize, hydrate and refresh your face
  • you can use it whenever you like, also over make-up
Positives:

  • price
  • Aloe Vera as a good moisturizing ingredient
  • very small diffuser that makes the mist super fine
  • easy to be used
  • refreshes nicely, especially when it's hot
  • soaks in quickly
  • it doesn't make your face wet, it's just a soft mist
  • you can use it over make-up without smudging it
  • it doesn't dry out, it moisturizes lightly
Negatives:
  • availability
  • it's not really that moisturizing and rich, so don't expect it to take care of very dry skin
After all, I'm a big fan of this Aqua Spray. During the summer I keep it in my purse all the time, it's just perfect for a refreshment on the go. I think that everyone can use this, no matter what type of skin. It doesn't do any miracles to your skin, but it's a nice product.
What do you think of these facial sprays?

August '12 Favorites

Hey everyone,
it's time to show you my favorites of the month of August! I kinda skipped the July favorites because of laziness and the lack of actual favorites to show. But this month it's different, luckily :D Here you go:
Rival de Loop Aqua Spray - I really love refreshing sprays for my face during summer, and this month it was just so hot that I always had this in my purse, carrying it everywhere. I really like it! Do you want me to review it?
Catrice FeMALE Cream Blush - You guys know I love this blush from my old review *click*, and this month it was pretty much the only blush I ever used. It's just so great :)
Ebelin Professional Eyeshadow and Concealer Brush - I just reviewed this a couple of days ago, but I've been using it almost all month long and like it a lot! But I only use it for concealer :D Here *click* is the review.
Catrice Lashes To Kill Ultra Black Mascara - This is a new mascara I've been trying out, and so far I really like the results it gives. I gotta test it a little longer before I review it, but I'll do it soon :)
SunOzon Apres Fluid for face - Since I've been spending so much time out in the sun, I needed a good moisturizing product afterwards. I really like this one, I also reviewed it here *click*, and was glad to have it during this hot time!
Essence Nail Oil - Nail oil always helps me when I have dry cuticles. You have to keep this in mind: your nails and hair are made out of similar "material" (dunno how to say it, you know what I mean, right?!). But consider how many times you wash your hair and how many times out of it you use a conditioner/mask to care for it. And then compare it to the number of times you wash your hands, and how many times out of it you use hand lotion/nail oil to care for your cuticles. That's why I try to use my cuticle oil regularly.
Gossip Girl Season 2 - Every now and then I'm in the mood for a certain series, and this month it was Gossip Girl. I watched the whole second season on DVD and enjoyed it a lot.

What where your favorites for the month of August?

April 2012 Favorites

Hey there!
The month of April is already over now, and it's time to show you my favorites! Here they are:
(sorry for that ugly flash photo)
Essence Rebels LE Lip&Cheek Pot 01 Peach Punk - you guys already know from my positive review that I really like this cream blush, it's just awesome. Why I love it so much? Read here *click*.
Catrice Revoltaire LE Ombre Blush C01 Color Bomb - this is another great blush. I love blushes, and one with a pretty design like this is always a must for me. I wore this constantly this month, here *click* is my review on it.
Benefit PosieTint - I promise, this is the last blush for this time's favorites. I just love blushes, and this pink makes me look fresh and it's easy to apply. Review: *click*.
RdL Ultimate Volume Mascara - for my eyes I've just been wearing mascara this month, especially this one. Now that I've owned it for a while the formula got even better and it looked great on my lashes. Here *click* is my old review on it.
Manhattan Water Flash Lipgloss 46D - It's started to get a little warmer in the past few days, and I loved to wear a bold colorful lip. What would be a better choice than Manhattan's Water Flash Lipgloss in 46D? I love it! Here *click* is a review.
Catrice Oceana LE Lipstick C02 Ocean Sunrise - and another lip product. I wore this almost everyday since it's a nice color that is very wearable and not bold at all. Unfortunately this was part of an old LE.
Random Bracelets - I've been loving to wear this selection of bracelets, they look fun together and it's a very casual thing to add to any outfit. The owl and the peace sign ones are actually from Essence, and the orange bracelet is a Thomas Sabo one.
What were your favorites for the month of April? Let me know!
xoxo, Misch

NOTD April 18th: Double Animal Print Nail Art

Hey there!
I was in the mood to do some nail art, and when I saw this gorgeous picture by Kayla Shevonne *click*, I knew I had to do my own version of it. This Double Animal Print is just awesome!
Since I was already wearing Mashed Berries from Essence's Fruity LE *click*, I decided to paint on top of that. The turquoise is Fly from OPI's Nicki Minaj Collection, and for the black I used p2 - eternal and Rival de Loop Young's Nail Art Pen. I wasn't even that hard to draw, you just had to be careful with the details.
If you like, I can do a tutorial about this one!
I'm planning to do more nail art in the near future, do you have any requests?
See you soon!
xoxo, Misch

February 2012 Favs

Hey there!
And another month is over...it's starting to get spring! I'm so looking forward to it, yay :D
But let's not immediately forget February, here are my favs for this month:
Alverde Hair Tip Fluid - My hair had got really bad lately, so I decided to take better care of it. I already once tried this Hair Tip Fluid, and I thought I'd give it another chance :)
Essence Tinted Moisturizer - You guys know that I'm trying out this one, and I really like it so far! A review will be up tomorrow :)
Catrice FeMALE LE Cream To Powder Blush - This is an awesome thing of a blush. I love the texture, the color, everything. Here *click* I reviewed it.
Catrice Nymphelia LE Unbeleaf'able Blush - Another blush that is really pretty, and I like it a lot. Here *click* is the review.
Shopaholic Series - You guys know that I like to read chick lit books, and I like Sophie Kinsella. A friend lent me the whole series, and I really enjoyed it ;) A review will follow :)
Rival de Loop Kabuki - I've started to apply my powder with a kabuki again, and I love this one! It's so inexpensive and great quality! Interested in a review?

That's it for my favs of this month guys! What were yours?
I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you :) Thank you so much for 110+ followers and amazing 10.000 clicks in the past month! I'm so proud of this little blog growing a bit, and it's good to know that you're interested in it :)
I will see you soon!

EOTD February 14th: Catrice FeMALE LE Eye Aquarelle Duo Chalk Look

Hey there!
When I posted the swatches to Catrice's FeMALE LE, I was asked to do a look with the eyeshadow chalks, and here it is!
All I used for this look is this duo. I applied the reddish bronze color on my lid, and actually applied this one wet so you can tell the metallic shimmer better. Then I used the darker brown in my crease and blended it out. I finished it with mascara, RdL's Ultimate Volume Mascara. Super simple!
For the Aquarelle Duo Chalks I used a normal flat eyeshadow brush, and that did work nicely. They do tend to cause fall-out, though, and be chalky, like the name already says. But it still works!
I'll try them a few more times, and then, in a few days, a final review will follow :)
What do you think of it?

Review: Rival de Loop Ultimate Volume Mascara

Hi dear readers!
Today I have a review for you about a new mascara I've been trying out lately! It's Rival de Loop's Ultimate Volume Mascara. I bought this spontaneously, because the plum colored tube looked nice to me :D Let's see how I liked it!
Information:
  • only available at Rossmann, because Rival de Loop is their own brand
  • it's called Ultimate Volume False Lashes Mascara
  • contains 10 ml
  • costs about 3.45 Euros
  • just available in black
  • the brush is pretty big
Positives:
  • price
  • easy to apply
  • nice, opaque black color
  • brush is good to use
  • gives length and a bit of volume
  • it's natural but you still see a result
Negatives:
  • it sometimes can "glue" the ends of the lashes together, making it look a little clumpy
  • availability
  • it doesn't give you the promised False Lashes look - but what mascara does that?!
After all, I can say that I like this mascara :) It's a nice one, good to use, and for the price it's more than okay. I don't think this would make the best mascara ever, but it doesn't have to be! Just a nice solid basic mascara :) In the pictures I'm wearing one coat of mascara.
Have you tried this one?
xoxo, Misch

August 2011 Favorites

Hiya!
September's arrived, and you have no idea how much I'm looking forward to fall! Fall colors are awesome! :D But before we forget about it, it's time for my favs for the month of August. Here you go:
Rival de Loop Aqua Face Powder - I just love this one, it has that amazing sensation when you apply it, like water! Here *click* I reviewed it.
Catrice Evolution to Revolution Black Volume Mascara - This mascara is a really good one, and part of the new permanent line. Review: *click*.
Manhattan Sexy Plexi LE Lipstick in 57N - I love this lipstick because you can wear it dramatic and natural, and I used it pretty much every day. Here *click* is the review on it.
Book: The Host by Stephenie Meyer - I like this book a lot, I even read it twice already! Here *click* I reviewed it.
Essence 50's Girls Reloaded LE Eyeshadow duo in I'm A Marine Girl - Even though the blue part of this duo blends away way too soon, I loved using the champagne shade as a highlighter. Here *click* are swatches of it.
My new Rubik's Cube - I'm still obsessed with cubing, and this new cube is really great! Now it takes me less than 1 and a half minutes to solve it, I'm so proud :)

That's it for my favs of this month. They aren't that many, because it was so hot that I didn't wear make-up that often... However, I'd love to see your favorites, so leave me links in the comments!
Talk to you soon!
xoxo, Misch

Review: Rival de Loop Aqua Face Powder

Hi everyone,
today I will review the Aqua Face Powder by Rival de Loop that I already showed you here *click*.
Information:
  • only available at Rossmann
  • is part of a summer limited edition
  • costs 3,49 Euros for 15g
  • has a very light pinkish color with a golden shimmer
  • when you apply it it feels like water
  • it's a loose powder

Positives:
  • price
  • amount
  • nice highlight color, gives a slight glow
  • also suitable for light skin
  • this amazing sensation when you apply it, it's AWESOME!
  • easy to apply, gets even
  • a possible MAC dupe for the Magically Cool Liquid Powder

Negatives:
  • it's too shimmery to use it all over your face
  • it's limited
I really really like this powder! The sensation is amazing, I just love how it feels like you brush on water! I just used it with a normal powder brush. You need to be careful about the amount, when you don't have enough product on the brush, the effect won't be as noticeable. I used it all over the face once, and looked all shimmery. It's definitely too much for that.
It's really fun for summer, but you have to know yourself whether you really need it. It's not a thing you really have to have for your daily routine, but it's fun :D
Does anyone own it, too?
Talk to you later!
xoxo, Misch

So cool: Rival de Loop Aqua Face Powder

Hey everyone!
Yesterday I went to my local Rossmann and there found a new Limited Edition by Rival de Loop. It's summer-themed, but I couldn't find a name. In the counter there was one product that look kinda fun, and I already had some hopes about it, when I tried it out with the tester. And it really is what I hoped it would be!
Do you know that new powder by MAC, that came out this spring? The Magically Cool Liquid Powder? I'm sure some of you have heard about it. And the Aqua Face Powder by RdL is basically the same thing! I can't compare them, because I don't own the MAC one, but I think the concept's the same!
What it is? A powder that when you apply it feels cool and liquid like water! Hard to believe, but it's so so cool! It really does work, and that's so awesome! I love that sensation, and I highly recommend you try it out at your Rossmann! It contains the huge amount of 15g, costs 3,49 Euros, and it has a really light pink color with golden shimmer particles that make it the perfect highlighter.
Right now, I'm really in love! But I only got it yesterday so I can't say a lot yet. But I'll try it out and there'll be a review up soon!
I have no idea why this is so surprising to me, because now that I googled it I found a ton of reviews on it...Oh, well, I guess an extra one can't be bad ;)
Did anyone get it, too? Or do you maybe own the MAC version?
I'll talk to you later!
xoxo, Misch

Picture Tutorial: Vintage Rose Nail Art

Hey there!
Today I have a new piece of nail art for you guys, a vintage rose design! And I did a picture tutorial to show you how to do it! Hope you like it!
That's what you need:
- a base coat (mine is Essence Pro White French)
- a background color of your choice (I used China Glaze - For Audrey)
- a bright pink polish (I used RdL - 102)
- a darker pink polish (I used Essie - Exotic Liras)
- a dark green polish (I used OPI - Jade Is The New Black)
- a tool, like a toothpick or a dotting tool (Essence Nail Art Stylist)
- a top coat (mine is Essence Sealing Top Coat)
That's how to do it:
1. Use your base coat on all your nails to protect them.
2. Paint your whole nails with the background color of your choice, use as many coats as needed.
3. Take the pink polish, and do random medium-sized dots on your nails. For that you can use the normal polish brush.
4. Pick up the darker pink with a  toothpick and draw inner parts of the rose, so it looks more real. You want to do one dot/swirl in the middle, and about two on the sides. Place them randomly and don't make them too even, a rose is never perfect.
5. Now it's time for the leaves. I just created them with a dotting tool and dark green polish.
6. Seal your design with a top coat of your choice.
And that's it! It's really easy, it's a little vintage, and it's fun! I did it after the video by Cutepolish *click*.
I hope you liked it!
Until next time,
xoxo, Misch

Nail Polish Tag!!

Hey everyone,
I thought it was time for a new tag :D So I searched a little and found this 22 question nail polish tag and decided to do it! Hope you'll enjoy it!

1. How many nail polishes do you own?
Right now, I own 131 colored polishes, and a few care stuff :)

2. Where do you store your nail polishes?
I already did a storage post a while back *click*, and I still keep all my polishes in these IKEA plastic things, and they are sorted by brand. The plastic things are standing on a shelf, where they are protected from direct sunlight.

3. From which colors do you own most?
I think I own most blues, and pink is pretty close after that. Here *click* you can for example see my blue collection :)

4. Which color of polish is your least favorite?
I think coral. Not because I don't like it, I love coral in spring and summer, it's really fun and pretty! But especially peachy coral shades don't flatter my skin tone.

5. What is your favorite finish?
That always depends on season, weather and mood, but I think mainly creme and shimmer.

6. When was the first time you painted your nails?
When I was in elementary school my mom would sometimes allow me to paint my nails for carnival or something, but I think I was in 6th grade, around the age of 12, when I stared to wear nail polish regularly. Back then, I of course wasn't into it that much ;)

7. How often do you paint your nails a week?
I think at least two times, because after like 3 days I get bored of a color ;)

8. What is your favorite topcoat?
At the moment, I love Essence's Nail Art Sealing Top Coat.

9. Which nail polish remover do you use?
I'm using Isana's Almond nail polish remover with acetone which I like best. It's inexpensive and does a good job.

10. What's your fave polish brand?
That one's not easy to answer, because there are brand I love but can't really reach, and drugstore brands I use all the time, and stuff like that. But I really love China Glaze and OPI polishes.

11. Any brand you don't like?
No, not really ;) Every brand has its good and bad polishes, so I can't name one here I don't like at all.

12. Do you prefer long or short nails?
Rather on the short side, tending towards medium. But not long at all, as you can always see on my NOTD posts :D

13. What's your favorite red polish?
I think that is Limited Addiction by Essie *click*.

14. Fave pink?
Strawberry Fields by China Glaze *click*.

15. Fave purple?
Not easy to pick, but I tend to OPI - Do You Lilac It? *click*.

16. Fave blue?
Navy blue: China Glaze - First Mate *click*, fave lighter blue: China Glaze - For Audrey *click*. But that's only for right now, here it changes often ;)

17. What about green?
Catrice's C02 Welcome To The Jungle from the Papagena LE *click*. Not too common, and really gorgeous.

18. Your fave gray/brown?
Gray: Manhattan - Gossip Girl *click*, fave brown: Essence's BBC Golden Sands from the BBC collection *click*.

19. And nude?
China Glaze - Knotty, because it's not a traditional nude. *click*.

20. What about orange/peach/yellow?
As I said, peach doesn't suit me, and yellow's not really my color either. But I have a favorite orange, which is Life Preserver form China Glaze *click*. Awesome color :)

21. What are your TOP5 polishes right now?
That's not easy to pick, but here they are in no particular order:
China Glaze - Life Preserver, OPI - Dating A Royal, China Glaze - For Audrey, RdL - 102, OPI  - Jade Is The New Black. Most of these colors I mainly use on my toes, perfect for summer :)

22. What would be your dream polish?
Well, that's really hard to think right off the top of your head, but I think I'd have to say a navy holo :) I'd love to own one :) Do you know any good ones existing?

Well, that's is about this polish tag! :) I want to tag all of you, so do it if you're in the mood to! But there are also two blogs I particularly want to tag:
http://juntasperonorevueltas.blogspot.com/
http://viajandoatodocolor.blogspot.com/
It'd be awesome if you'd do this tag, girls :)

I'll see you later!

My Eyeshadow Collection #4: Pinks, Purples and Silvers

Hey everyone,
while you read this I'm away on a competition with my dancing crew, so cross your fingers for us :D
Here's the next part of my eyeshadow collection, and this one's not really one color category, I basically put all of the colors that weren't enough for a full category in one ;) So here are pinks, purples, reds and silvers ;)

Rival de Loop Duo - 05 light violet
This duo is a really pretty one if you want to wear some color. It has a light lilac part that has a bit of shimmer in it. The other part of this duo is a really pretty matte plum color, especially pretty for fall. Pigmentation is fine with both :)

Catrice Caramé LE - C03 Spiced Red

This eyeshadow is supposed to be a really close dupe to Cranberry by MAC. And that's really the perfect way to describe this color: cranberry. It's definitely red, but with some pink undertones, and it has some shimmer. Mine unfortunately broke when it fell down in by bathroom, so it looks a little messed up ;) But it's still fine, and pigmentation is excellent with this one.

Manhattan MyBox - 51N
I haven't mentioned my other MyBox eyeshadows so far, but that only because I forgot about them ;) This one was luckily in my stash when I took the pictures, so I can show it to you know :) In the packaging it's a really pretty glittery light pink. But it's hard and scratchy and lacks pigmentation when you apply it :/ Not so good.

Essence Into The Wild LE - 01 Mumbamumba

I already showed you the dark part of this duo in this previous post *click*, and here's the pink part now. It's a matte bright pink, and the texture & pigmentation is fine. You could also use this as a blush if you went for a Barbie kinda look ;)

Essence Moonlight LE - 01 Live Forever

This is a silver eyeshadow, and it's really shimmery. It's not too much pigmented, but I really like the design on the product itself ;)

Swatches:
And that's it for this part :) The next part of my collection will come next week :)
Do you own any of these eyeshadows?
xoxo, Misch

EOTD June 7th: Nude Shimmer

Hi guys!
I mentioned the Catrice eyeshadow in 070 Mr. Copper's Fields in my May Favs post *click* and told you I still owed you some EOTDs with it. Well, here's the first one :)

When I did this one, I was in a hurry and had like no time.
So all I did was apply my eyeshadow base like I always do, and I'm still using the one from RdLY. Then I swept a light shimmery champagne gold color onto the inner half of my lid, and for that I used 02 Sun by RdL. Next I added Catrice's 070 Mr. Copper's Fields to the outer half and the crease of my eye and blended it into the sun color. This gives the look some more dimension and makes it really shimmery :) I also applied a tiny amount along my lower lash line.
For eyeliner I used the Essence eyeliner pen, and for mascara the Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express one.
That's it already! This look is done in 2 minute's time, and really shimmery and pretty for everyday :) Do you like it?
Until next time, xoxo, Misch
