Nail Art & Review: BornPrettyStore Stamping Plate BP-52

Time for some floral spring nail art!

This is another stamping done with an image plate from BornPrettyStore, the one called BP-52. It consists of one huge print that is full of different floral details.
What I love about this design is that it is one big thing that is made of so many interesting little ones. You get a lot of diversity when you wear it all over your nails. The downside to this, though, is that if your nails aren't exactly big, you won't see that much per nail. I found it to be okay, but it definitely shouldn't be less.

Products used:
Manhattan - M&Buffalo Off The Socks (orange background)
BornPrettyStore - white stamping polish
BornPretty Store - image plate BP-52

What do you guys think of this design? I love how fun and detailed it is!

Remember that you can still get 10% off on BornPrettyStore with the code MS10K31!

St. Patrick's Day Nail Art

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

For today's occasion I did some nail art showing the Irish spirit. So here's lots of green, as well as the Irish flag and shamrocks!

Products used:
China Glaze  - Running In Circles (bright green main colour)
China Glaze - Starboard (green part of the flag)
OPI - Jade Is The New Black (shamrocks)
Manhattan - M&Buffalo Off The Socks (orange)
BornPrettyStore - White Stamping Polish (white)
Essence nail art stylist (to draw the shamrocks)

It's just a very simple and fun design to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Nothing difficult to it! What are you wearing today? Any green?

In case you're interested in a bit of Ireland-related stuff on here, check out my post on the Cliffs of Moher, Kinsale or Irish beaches!

NOTD August 31st: Manhattan Blogger Edition: Modepilot - 04M Saint Germain

Hey there!
Today I want to show you the last Manhattan polish I got from their Blogger Edition, 04M Saint Germain from the Modepilot Collection.
Saint Germain is a very warm brownish red shade. It's a creme, and I think the perfect mix of cherry and brick red. It's a very fall-appropriate shade.
Application of Saint Germain was great. The formula of this creme is just pure awesomeness, it's right between creamy and squishy and makes it so easy to apply this polish. Coverage was also great, I used 2 coats of it.
This is such a pretty shade, with red being a trend color for fall and the warmth and brown tones making you think of fall immediately. I think I'll wear it again because I really love it, but I just couldn't wait till it really was fall :D
What do you think of it?

NOTD August 29th: Manhattan Blogger Edition: Modepilot - 03M Twerskaja

Hey there!
Today I want to show you the next polish from Manhattan's Blogger Edition Collection: 03M Twerskaja from the Modepilot Collection.
Twerskaja is a plum creme. I'd say it has slight berry undertones and it's a little dark. It's also a very warm shade.
Application of Twerskaja was great, it was perfectly opaque with 2 coats. Everything went on super smooth and glossy, I had no problems.
It's definitely a fall shade, plum's great for fall! But I thought it was already nice now, while my skin is still a little tan :D I like it a lot and can highly recommend it!
What do you think of it?

NOTD August 27th: Manhattan Blogger Edition: Styleproofed - 07S Green Chai

Hey there!
Today I'm wearing the first shade from Manhattan's Blogger Edition Collection, and it's Green Chai by Styleproofed!
Green Chai is a super interesting color. The base is a very light mint shade, and it contains all kinds of glitter particles. The glitter colors are pink, green, gold and I even think I see a tiny bit of red in there. They make the polish super unique, I don't own anything quite like it!
Application was great, the glitter didn't cause me any problems. I used 2 normal coats, and that was enough! Didn't expect it to be this uncomplicated :D It dries a little gritty, so I used a coat of top coat on top which smoothed it out perfectly. No issues here, either.
I know that this shade gives me red hands, at least a little, but I don't care, it's just so cool! I'm really excited about this one, because it's so unusual! Of course it might not be everyone's taste, but for those of you who like to wear special shades, make sure to get this one!
The Manhattan Blogger Edition Styleproofed Collection is out now, and each polish is 3,45 Euros. It's limited!
What do you think of it? Make sure you enlarge the pictures by clicking on them!

Spotted: Manhattan Blogger Edition: Styleproofed and Modepilot Collections

Hi guys!
Today I want to talk about Manhattan's new nail polish collection!
Together with the two German fashion blogs, Styleproofed and Modepilot, Manhattan created a "Blogger Edition" nail polish collection. Each blog designed and named 10 shades, and this collection is available now. Here *click* you can see all of the shades.
When I walked into the store, I saw the display of these nail polishes, and I was immediately excited.
blogger + nail polish + pretty shades = pretty awesome, right?! I love all of the shades, there wasn't a single one among these that I thought was ugly. But even though they're not that pricey - one retails for 3,45 Euros - I just couldn't get them all :D So I decided to be reasonable and just the prettiest ones that I don't have dupes for yet :D
The Modepilot Collection is inspired and named by cities and districts. The shades all looked very fall-like to me, with lots of cremes and red-toned shades. I ended up buying 04M, Saint Germain, and 03M, Twerskaja.
Saint Germain is a brown-toned red shade, very fall-appropriate. It's a creme, and really super pretty.  I'd say it's the perfect mix of cherry and brick red. Exactly the kind of shade I love for fall, remember my love for OPI - I'm Suzi & I'm A Chocoholic? :D Saint Germain belongs into the same category, but it's lighter. 2 coats.
Twerskaja is another creme, and it's the perfect plum shade. It's warm, not to dark, and I love it! Plum is actually a rather common shade, right?! But I have no plum creme in my collection! So glad to add this one to it :) 2 coats.
The Styleproofed Collection is inspired and named by finger food. I like the reference to food, and all of the shades are super pretty. They don't seem to the that fall-themed, however. I got one of the colors from this collection, the most interesting one: 07S, Green Chai.
Green Chai is a very light mint shade with lots of glitter in it. The glitter is green, golden and pink. They're rather big and make the nail polish super interesting. I like how it's so unusual! 2 coats, and it dries a little gritty.
What do you think of this collection? I'm really excited about these :)

NOTD June 18th: Manhattan Loves RockTopia - Hippie Yeah!

Hi guys!
Today I want to show you a nail polish that has been waiting a little to be worn :D I got Manhattan's Hippie Yeah from their Manhattan Loves RockTopia LE a few weeks ago and already talked about it here *click*.
Hippie Yeah is a muted sea green with blue undertones, and it's very gray-toned. It also has a subtle silver shimmer, but that isn't apparent other than in direct sunlight.
Application was nice, like a creme that is a little thicker. But no problems whatsoever, it was perfectly opaque with 2 coats! I didn't expect it to be this opaque, especially since it's a light shade, but it has perfect coverage :) In the pictures I'm wearing 2 coats as well as base and top coat.
The closest match to it in my collection is Essence's Mojito Green from their Soul Sista LE, and you can find a comparison of the two when you click the link above.
I like this color a lot, I think it could be worn year-round :) On me it looks a lot bluer than it does in the bottle, but that's okay with me :D
What do you think of it?

NOTD June 5th: Essence - Sundancer

Hi there!
Today I want to show you swatches of a polish I've owned for quite a while now. It's Essence's Sundancer from their Color&Go line.
Sundancer is a happy shade of yellow, just the tiniest bit orange-toned. It's a creme and very shiny.
Application of Sundancer is really nice. Even though my bottle of it is already a little older, it's still great. It's not too thick or too thin, and it covers perfectly with 2 coats. That doesn't happen very often, yellows tend to be a little difficult in terms of application.
In the pictures I'm wearing 2 coats of Sundancer as well as base and top coat.
I'm now including pictures of other yellow cremes I own, just so you have some reference and can compare them. From left to right, here you have Essence - Sundancer, Essence - Pimp My Bright and Manhattan - Rise Of The Fun. They're all a little different!
I like yellow polishes way more than I thought I would! They're super bright and not always that easy to wear, but I love them nonetheless :)
What do you think of them?

Spotted: Manhattan Loves RockTopia LE

Hi guys!
Today I want to talk about a LE I found at my local drugstore yesterday, Manhattan Loves RockTopia by Manhattan.
This LE contains 6 colored nail polishes and 2 crackle polishes. Here *click* you can see the promo pics.
Somehow, with the promo pics only 5 polishes appear, but in real life they're 6. Some of the colors are cremes, others shimmers. The colors are all bright, and there are not only the basic shades available. Especially the light yellow-toned green and the warm brown are not the most typical shades for a summer LE. One nail polish retails for 3,50 Euros.
I bought one of them, called 5 Hippie Yeah!. It's a light muted grayed out sea green with a very subtle silver shimmer. To me it looks a little like the sea on a stormy day! Hence the sea green in my color description ;)
I compared it to the shades I have in my collection, and I'd say it's Essence's Mojito Green's lighter and murkier brother. Here *click* you can see Mojito Green on my nails.
The crackle polishes of this LE are the basic silver and black colors. Nothing unique to them, and Manhattan's kinda late with them, since crackle's been out forever now. Oh, well.
I really like the shade Hippie Yeah that I got, and I can't wait to wear it when I'm back from my vacation :)
What do you think of this LE?
xoxo, Misch

NOTD May 22nd: Manhattan M&Buffalo Collection 2012 - 11 Sweet Ballerina

Hey there!
Today I want to show you Sweet Ballerina from Manhattan's M&Buffalo Collection.
Sweet Ballerina is a very very light pink that is cool-toned. It has a super fine silver shimmer that only peeks out in direct lighting, so it does look like a creme at most times. The color of it so light that it looks almost white, but it's still a light pastel pink.
Application of this one was great, it only needed 2 coats to be opaque. I still did 3 for these pictures, plus base and top coat, because I wasn't that careful and experienced some cuticle dragging. But this is nothing you can't handle, it will work.
The color is really really light, and even though I'm a pale girl, it makes my hands look dark. I'm not used to that and therefore find it a little weird on me. This really is a nice color, but I think that to me this isn't really a color to wear for a full manicure again, rather one to be used for nail art. That's also the main reason why I got it, because opaque light pinks always come in handy.
What do you think of Sweet Ballerina? Love the name, btw, it's perfect for this polish!

NOTD May 17: Manhattan Buffalo for Manhattan LE - 17 Rise Of The Fun

Hey there!
Today I want to show you the first polish I'm wearing from Manhattan's M&Buffalo 2012 LE. It's called Rise Of The Fun.
Rise Of The Fun is a bright yellow, and it's a creme. This shade of yellow is a  true sunshine yellow. It doesn't lean neither orange nor green, and it's just such a happy bright shade.
Application of this one was actually really good! You know yellows can be a pain in the *ss to apply, but this one really isn't! I only did 2 coats, plus base and top coat, and it was free of streaks and perfectly opaque that way. Thumbs up!
To be this color is just pure happiness. I mean, if this isn't happy, what else could it be? It makes me think of the sun when I look at it :) I know it's not the easiest color to pull off and it's not really discreet, but yellow is one of my favorite shades since it's so fun, and that's why I love it :)
I really recommend this polish! What do you think of it?
See you soon!
xoxo, Misch

Spotted: Buffalo for Manhattan LE

Hey everyone!
Just lately Manhattan launched a nail polish LE, which is a team-up with Buffalo, the shoe brand.
Here *click* you can see the promo pics. It contains 20 bright nail polishes, and most of them are bright fun colors! When I first had a look at it I was about to buy more than half of the polishes, but I told myself to be reasonable. So instead I got these 5:

01 Over The Wedge
Over The Wedge is a nude creme, neither warm nor cold toned, it's perfectly neutral. It looks very close to Manhattan's 93E from their very first M&Buffalo Collection, and since that one is great, I decided to get this one. You can never have enough good nudes! And, it's great. Perfect coverage with 2 coats, that's also what my swatch is. It's great!

04 Asphalt Cowboy
Asphalt Cowboy is a light blue-toned gray, another creme. Coverage is great, it's an easy two-coater. The color might not the that unusual, but it's great nonetheless.

07 Off The Socks
Off The Socks is a bright orange creme. It's not quite as neon as China Glaze Japanese Koi Neon, but it's still bright. It's another twocoater, so great! And it totally satisfies my craving for OPI's A Roll In The Dark.

11 Sweet Ballerina
Sweet Ballerina is a very light white-toned baby pink with a slight silver shimmer. It's very cool-toned and light, and it also only needed 2 coats! That's so cool! An opaque baby pink!

17 Rise Of The Fun
Rise Of The Fun is a sunshine yellow. It's just a pure happy shade of yellow, not leaning orange or green. It's a creme, and it's again opaque with 2 coats. That's really not common with yellows, so cool!

After all, these polishes are great! They're so good quality, I really recommend them and can't wait to wear them! They retail for 3 Euros, but check your local drugstore, I bought mine for 2,25 Euros!
Did you already get some of them?

April 2012 Favorites

Hey there!
The month of April is already over now, and it's time to show you my favorites! Here they are:
(sorry for that ugly flash photo)
Essence Rebels LE Lip&Cheek Pot 01 Peach Punk - you guys already know from my positive review that I really like this cream blush, it's just awesome. Why I love it so much? Read here *click*.
Catrice Revoltaire LE Ombre Blush C01 Color Bomb - this is another great blush. I love blushes, and one with a pretty design like this is always a must for me. I wore this constantly this month, here *click* is my review on it.
Benefit PosieTint - I promise, this is the last blush for this time's favorites. I just love blushes, and this pink makes me look fresh and it's easy to apply. Review: *click*.
RdL Ultimate Volume Mascara - for my eyes I've just been wearing mascara this month, especially this one. Now that I've owned it for a while the formula got even better and it looked great on my lashes. Here *click* is my old review on it.
Manhattan Water Flash Lipgloss 46D - It's started to get a little warmer in the past few days, and I loved to wear a bold colorful lip. What would be a better choice than Manhattan's Water Flash Lipgloss in 46D? I love it! Here *click* is a review.
Catrice Oceana LE Lipstick C02 Ocean Sunrise - and another lip product. I wore this almost everyday since it's a nice color that is very wearable and not bold at all. Unfortunately this was part of an old LE.
Random Bracelets - I've been loving to wear this selection of bracelets, they look fun together and it's a very casual thing to add to any outfit. The owl and the peace sign ones are actually from Essence, and the orange bracelet is a Thomas Sabo one.
What were your favorites for the month of April? Let me know!
xoxo, Misch
