With August already being over, it is time to show you my favourites from the past month!
MAC Patina
This is such a beautiful eyeshadow! It's of a medium brown shade, not too warm, and it's finish is a frost, which makes for a nice shimmer. I loved using this for all kinds of daily looks! Here you can see swatches of it.
Catrice Hollywood's Fabulous 40ties LE Blush
One of my all time favourite blushes. It's matte, which makes it wearable with any kind of look, and the nice rosewood pink colour is also great! Here's a review on it.
Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow No Pressure!
This cream eyeshadow is my new true love. It's just so versatile! You can wear it at any kind of opacity you like, make it neutral or dramatic, and it's super simple and quick to apply. Here are more detailed pictures of it.
Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother
A new product by Catrice, and one that can be used all the time. Its shine makes for a great look, but it's natural enough to be worn during day. It's also very caring and tastes great! Check out a review on it.
MAC MSF Soft & Gentle
This is one of the prettiest products I've even owned! Soft&Gentle is so beautiful, makes for the perfect highlight and is easy to apply. Can't get enough of its gorgeousness! Here you can see some swatches.
The Body Show Eyelash Curler
This has always been my eyelash curler, but this month especially I've been noticing what a great job it does! Really makes a difference with my lashes, I love it!
Yves Rocher Aquarelles Végétales Perfume
I'd completely forgotten about how much I used to love this perfume, and was so glad to discover my bottle was still smelling great and had enough left of it! Also reminds of a couple of summers ago when I used to wear it all the time.
Please let me know about your favourites of the month of August! Leave me a link to your post or just a comment telling me about it!
xoxo, M

Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother 030 Cake Pop
As part of the new permanent line for Autumn 2014, Catrice introduces a new lip product line called Beautifying Lip Smoother. They are also already part of the It Pieces Limited Edition, which was available starting July.
The Beautifying Lip Smoothers will be available in 3 shades, of which 2 were already to be bought in the aforementioned Limited Edition. The one I have to show you is of the colour 030 Cake Pop.
The main facts about the Beautifying Lip Smoothers are that they contain 9 ml and retail for 3,49 €. They promise shine as well as filling in of little wrinkles.
The scent is very sweet and somewhat like caramel, but it's not overwhelming.
The colour of 030 Cake Pop is a medium pink and it contains tiny shimmer particles. It's pigmentation somewhat sheer, but it's not meant to have a big colour pay-off. Instead, it is supposed to be like a lip balm with a bit of a tint to it.
It has a little flock applicator. Once you push the bottle, the product squeezes out and you can directly apply it to your lips. That makes for a very simple application.
The product is also very easy to spread on the lips. It's not too sticky, and feels very soft on. It adds some shine and makes your lips look fuller. The shimmer particles are not visible on the lips.
The wear is fine, but not very long lasting. As it's rather glossy it also wears off rather fast. But the smooth, cared feeling remains even when the actual product is gone.
The Beautifying Lip Smoother is said to be a dupe for the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector. It looks pretty much the same, and according to many reviews out there, also has the same attributes. And the Catrice version is definitely more inexpensive!
Has anyone tried this product?

Swatches: Urban Decay Naked Palette 2
Hey there!
Today it's time to show you swatches of Urban Decay's Naked 2! This isn't anything new, and you've probably seen swatches quite often already, but for the sake of completeness on this blog, here they are!
This palette consists of 12 eyeshadows, 1 double-ended brush and 1 mini lipgloss. Here you go:
Eyeshadows:
Foxy - a pale cream-colored matte
Half Baked - a very shimmery warm bronze shade
Bootycall - a shimmery highlighting color
Chopper - a shimmery copper shade
Tease - a matte purple-toned greyish brown shade, very cool-toned
Snakebite - a darker shimmery brown
Suspect - a cooler-toned shimmery light brown shade
Pistol - a shimmery greyish silver shade
Verve - a light silvery shimmery shade
YDK - a darker brown with a strong silver shimmer
Busted - a shimmery dark grey
Blackout - a matte black shade
Pigmentation is really good with all of these.
Lipgloss:
a medium pink shade with shimmer particles in it. Rather sheer.
Brush:
double-ended: one side a rather fluffy blending brush, the other a more sturdy flat eyeshadow brush.
I'm a huge fan of this palette, it looks so nice and all of the content is very usable :)
What do you think of it?

January 2013 Favs
Hi there!
January of 2013 is already over, can you believe it?! That means it's time to show you my favorites of the month!
Essence Vintage District LE Blush 01 It's Popul-art
I really like this blush, it works well for my skin tone and is gorgeous. You won't overblush when using it! Here *click* I reviewed it.
Essence Vintage District LE Lip Duo 02 Antique Pink
A very cute strawberry-colored lip duo. Even though the wear is rather poor, I like to use the lipstick during the day :) Review: *click*.
NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss 131 Gold Pink
This is one of the best Christmas presents I got this year, a beautiful lipgloss. It's pink with a golden shimmer, and very wearable. Here *click* is my review on it.
Grundig Funstylers Concial Curling Wand
This is a curling iron I just got recently, and I love it. Makes super pretty defined curls and waves, a review will be coming up.
Syoss Heat Protect Hair Spray
This is what I used to fix my curls, a really great hairspray. I like the scent and the hold it gives. Here I'll also be doing a review soon :)
These are the products I really loved this month :) What were yours?

Review: Essence Vintage District LE Duo Lipstick & Gloss 02 Antique Pink
Hey there!
Today I want to review the first product from Essence's Vintage District LE, the Duo Lipstick & Gloss. You can see my Spotted post here *click*. Now onto the review, here you go:
Information:
After all, I think that the negative aspects kinda stand out too much, as wear and scent are quite important to me. I still wear it, especially the lipstick on its own, but I can only recommend it if you don't mind the poor wear.
Has anyone of you tried it?
xoxo, Misch
Today I want to review the first product from Essence's Vintage District LE, the Duo Lipstick & Gloss. You can see my Spotted post here *click*. Now onto the review, here you go:
Information:
- Essence Duo Lipstick & Gloss 02 Antique Pink
- part of the Vintage District LE, January 2013
- double-ended lip product with a lipstick and a lipgloss on either end
- the lipstick is just a color without shimmer whatsoever, in a strawberry shade
- the lipgloss has a tiny bit of a rather invisible shimmer, also in a strawberry shade
- the lipstick contains 4g
- the lipgloss contains 3ml
- it costs 2,95 Euros
Positives:
- price
- it's a great matching duo
- very pretty wearable but noticeable color
- both aren't too pigmented, great for daily use
- they glide on, very smoothly
- the lipstick has a creamy formula
- the lipgloss isn't sticky
- they provide a nice shine
- you can wear them each on its own or layered for more intensity
lipstick |
lipgloss |
Negatives:
- they're too glidy, a little slippery on the lips
- they don't last very long, especially not when eating or drinking
- they have a very strong soapy sweet scent that I think is too noticeable
- it's limited
both layered |
Has anyone of you tried it?
xoxo, Misch
