Time for some more nail art!
This is actually a design I already did about two years ago, but I was in the mood of recreating it, and to be honest, I really love the result. It's supposed to depict the wings of a butterfly.
Products I used:
Kiko 279
OPI My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours
Essie Forever Yummy
p2 eternal
Essence Stampy White Nail Polish
make-up sponge for gradient
toothpick
It takes some time to do this, but it's not as hard to do as it looks. I can do a tutorial for it in case you're interested!
What do you think of it?

NOTD: Triangle Nail Art
With a little more time on my hands, I am finally able to do stuff I didn't have a chance to do while studying all the time. One of these things is most certainly nail art!
For my first design I chose something geometric and abstract. I was pretty much testing out whether my skills had vanished. Luckily they don't have, at least not fully.
Products I used:
OPI I Theodora You
p2 eternal
p2 artful
Essence Nai Art Stylist
Do you like the design?

NOTD July 11th: p2 - Call Me
Hey there!
Today I'd like to show a nail polish I'm currently wearing, called Call Me! by p2. It is from their Last Forever line.
Call Me is a very deep purple shade. In the bottle it looked lighter, but on the nails it's really almost black. It's a creme, but very glossy. It's neither very warm nor very cool-toned.
Application was fine, at first it was rather streaky. It's so squishy that it has some jelly qualities at first, but it builds up really well. Did 3 coats here.
To be honest, I don't know whether this polish is still available, I'm not that well-versed in the products of p2's permanent line. If you do know, please be so kind and let me know!
What do you think of it?

NOTD September 4th: Cute & Classy Nail Art
Hey there!
Here *click* I just showed you Essence's Iced Latte from their Nude Glam line, and while wearing it, I decided to do some nail art with it :)
This cute mani is inspired by Gossip Girl, brunch and a super cute local café. I love the light pinkish nude background with the black and silver details :)
For the background I used Essence Iced Latte, the black is p2 eternal, and the silver Jesse's Girl Northern Star. I created everything with Essence's Duo Stylist, which is part of the new permanent line.
On my index and pinkie I'm wearing a half moon design, my middle finger has a bow on it, and my thumb and ring finger have big polka dots on them.
I really enjoy wearing this! It's classy and cute :)

NOTD April 18th: Double Animal Print Nail Art
Hey there!
I was in the mood to do some nail art, and when I saw this gorgeous picture by Kayla Shevonne *click*, I knew I had to do my own version of it. This Double Animal Print is just awesome!
Since I was already wearing Mashed Berries from Essence's Fruity LE *click*, I decided to paint on top of that. The turquoise is Fly from OPI's Nicki Minaj Collection, and for the black I used p2 - eternal and Rival de Loop Young's Nail Art Pen. I wasn't even that hard to draw, you just had to be careful with the details.
If you like, I can do a tutorial about this one!
I'm planning to do more nail art in the near future, do you have any requests?
See you soon!
xoxo, Misch

NOTD March 29th: Hunger Games Inspired Flame Nail Art
Hey there guys!
Today I want to show you the mani I'm wearing to see the Hunger Games movie tonight. I'm super excited to finally see it, and of course I'll also write a movie review :D
In the book they mention the nails Katniss wears when she gets into the arena, and I decided to do nails like these, too. The design is flames!
Now, let me tell you, I had a hard time doing these nails. At first it was simple, I painted my nails yellow (Essence - Sundancer) and then sponged on orange (China Glaze - Life Preserver) and red (China Glaze - Hey Sailor). But then I had to take black (p2 - eternal) and fill in every part that wasn't supposed to be part of the flames. I did it with a nail art brush by Kiko in the end, but it didn't work that well because I just couldn't create realistic flame shapes...but it doesn't matter, the thought counts :D And it works ;)
What do you think of these nails? And have you already seen the Hunger Games movie?
xoxo, Misch

NOTD March 22nd: Catrice Million Styles LE - Return Of The Space Cowboys (layered over black)
Hey guys!
Today I want to show you the first polish from Catrice's Million Styles LE that I'm wearing. Here *click* you can find swatches of this LE.
Return Of The Space Cowboys is a teal shimmer polish that actually has a duo-chrome! The polish's shimmer changes from purple to teal, depending on the angle you look at it. And what I'm glad about: this duo-chrome is also visible on your nails, it really changes! But you do have to have a closer look at it to see that ;) So go ahead and enlarge the pictures!
Since it is a very sheer polish, I decided to layer it. I did 2 coats of p2 Eternal, a nice black creme, and then one of this shimmer polish. Application was great, the Catrice polish went on smoothly without any problems. The shimmer also spread nicely.
It looks really nice, and my best friend said it reminded her of the universe, and it does look a little like it with the glitter. It reminds me a little of the polishes from the Out Of Space LE *click*. There are no dupes as far as I know, but they kind of all fall into the same category.
What do you think of this polish?
xoxo, Misch
PS: A happy happy birthday to my sister! I love you sweetie :)

December 2011 Favs
Hello there!
Hope you're already recovering from all of the great parties you had last night, and that you're all starting 2012 in a great way! Why not have brunch or something to kick off the new year in a great way? :D That's what I love to do at least :D
And on this blog: let's kick off this new year of 2012 with my favs for December 2011!
Manhattan Party Glam LE Palette in Soft Nude - I used this palette from a LE of 2010 a lot this winter, it's great for natural looks!
p2 lip liner in Business Lady - This lip liner is great for the Holiday season because it's red and you can apply it also toned down. I used this always with a lip balm and it was great :)
Essence Circus, Circus LE Highlighting Powder in It's Magic - Here we have my now favorite highlighter! It's from this year's Holiday LE, and great for a little glow :) Here *click* are more pictures.
Essence Circus, Circus LE Cream Eyeshadow in It's Magic - Also from the just mentioned LE, a great cream eyeshadow in a golden color. More pictures can also be seen at the same post as linked above!
China Glaze Ruby Pumps - The most gorgeous red Holiday polish ever. It's so pretty, and I wore it like 3 times this December! Here *click* is a NOTD.
Isana Roasted Almonds Shower Gel - It's just the greatest sweet winter shower gel, I love the scent! Here *click* is a review.
What were your favs for the month of December? Or do you maybe have a post up with your favs for the whole year of 2011? And how was your start into 2012?
xoxo, Misch

Best of Beauty 2011: My Top 10 Favs
Hey there!
The year is coming to an end, and I think it is time to talk about some favorites of 2011! Last year I already did this here *click*, and this year I'm already doing it before New Year's. My favorites for the month of December are gonna follow in the new year.
I'm now gonna show you my 10 favorite products of 2011, at least the ones I can remember ;) I'll try and only mention products that also got released in 2011, but I'm not sure whether that's gonna work ;) Let's get started! By the way: these are in no particular order!
Astor HD Mattitude Foundation - This is the best foundation ever for me! I discovered this in the beginning of 2011 and haven't used a different one ever since! Here *click* I reviewed it.
Essence Studio Nails Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer - I'm so in love with this top coat! It dries fast, it smooths every bubble, it's awesome! Here's the review *click*.
Catrice Floralista LE Duo Blush in As Lively As Ever - Here we have a blush that was part of an early spring LE, and I've been using it all the time. It was my go-to blush all spring, summer and fall long, and I still like it a lot! Swatches can be seen here *click*.
Benefit Finding Mr. Bright Kit - These were my first Benefit products, and I really like them! Super great kit for starters, and great for a natural and glowy look :) Here *click* I reviewed it back in spring.
Essence Sun Club LE Gel Eyeliner in BBC All Night Brown - Another LE product, a great eyeliner. The dark brown with the subtle shimmer is great for a lot of looks, the texture is soft and it still didn't dry up! I used just this a lot of times! Here *click* are more pictures and a review.
Nivea Happy Time Shower Gel - I like this shower cream so much and bought it quite a few times this year! It's so moisturizing that you don't have to use body lotion and the scent is great :) Review: *click*.
Isana Vitamin&Yogurt Body Lotion - Another body care product, a nice body lotion. It has a fun scent, is super easy to apply and doesn't leave a greasy film. *Click* for the review.
Alterra Caring Lipstick in Coral - This lipstick is super nice, it has a great consistency and I used it a lot of times when I wanted some color but still not too much. Yes, there's also a review link: *click*.
Essence Stampy Polish in White - Now this is not technically something that was released in 2011, and I also owned this in 2010 already, but with all of the nail art I've been doing in 2011 I needed this all the time. I think this is my most bought polish! :D
And I seriously don't have a picture of this! :O Here *click* is just a Google Image one.
p2 Profi Time!High Definition Concealer - This really was my go-to concealer, I used it every day ever since I bought it in June or something, and I'm still not out of my first tube! It's great. Here *click* is the review on it.
Well, these were the favorites for 2011 I could think of! What were yours? I'd love to know!
See you later,
xoxo, Misch

NOTD December 24th: Santa Nails
Hi there!
Merry Christmas, here's my last Christmas NOTD for you! It's what I'm actually wearing for Christmas, a Santa design :) very simple, but so cute!
For the red base I used p2 it's hot, and the white is Essence Ahoy! Super easy to create, and I added a little Santa hat to make it a little more fun :)
There's not really much more to add!
What are you wearing on your nails for Christmas?

Picture Tutorial: Scarf Nails for Winter
Hi there!
First of all: HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU WHO CELEBRATE THAT HOLIDAY :)
Today I have a little tutorial for you! It's getting winter, even though it didn't snow here yet. I love this cute little design and will be wearing it very soon! I tried it first on a nail wheel and took pictures of that :) So why not show you the tutorial already now?
That's what you need:
First of all: HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU WHO CELEBRATE THAT HOLIDAY :)
Today I have a little tutorial for you! It's getting winter, even though it didn't snow here yet. I love this cute little design and will be wearing it very soon! I tried it first on a nail wheel and took pictures of that :) So why not show you the tutorial already now?
That's what you need:
- a base coat of your choice (I used Essence Pro White French)
- a light back ground polish (I used p2 - being in heaven)
- a bright red polish (I used p2 - it's hot)
- a red glitter polish, preferably a striper (I used L.A.Colors Nail Art Deco in Red Glitter)
- a top coat of your choice (I used Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer)
That's how to do it:
- Start with your base coat to protect your natural nails.
- Paint all of your nails with your light background color.
- Use the bright red creme to make a curved thick tip. Then also make two stripes of different length like a scarf's end.
- Now take your glitter red striper, or if it's not a striper, use regular polish and a thin brush. I used that to paint some accents, like fringes and stuff. That adds more dimension :)
- Add your top coat to protect the design from chipping.
It's really simple to do, and so fun for winter!
What do you think?
What do you think?
Until next time,
xoxo, Misch

NOTD November 21st: Harry Potter Nail Art
Hey there!
So it's time for a nail art design only a big big fan like me wears, but I think it's cool :D I did a Harry Potter weekend with my best friend, and we watched the first 4 movies in one night :D A big yay for being a freak!
And for the special occasion, I did Harry Potter nails. The background color is OPI - Rising Star from last year's Burlesque Holiday collection, and then I drew all of the stuff on with a toothpick and p2 - eternal.
I did the Deathly Hallows symbol twice, and then a H, a P and a lightning bolt. YAY :D
I'm not gonna keep spamming you with my crazy stuff, I think this is a good point to end this post here :D
See ya!
xoxo, Misch

NOTD October 21st: Catrice - Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans with Spider Nail Art
Hello dear readers!
Today's polish is by Catrice, and it's called Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans, and unfortunately it got discontinued this fall :/ It's a dark denim blue creme, with jsut a few tiny bright blue glitter particles. But you can barely see themm when I applied it I wasn't even able to tell the glitter.
It applied nicely and evenly, it's opaque with 2 coats, really great.
And then, because it's gonna be Halloween soon, I did a design with it. I used a nail art brush and Essence Stampy Polish in white for the spider's webs. And over top I applied randomly L.A.Colors Nail Art Deco in Silver Glitter. For the spiders I used p2 - eternal, and a nail art brush again.
It's so simple, but perfect for Halloween. The only thing I don't like is that the background is a bit too dark for the spider. But, oh, well ;)
Do you like it? And what kind of Halloween designs do you like?
Until next time,
xoxo, Misch

EOTD October 19th: Cranberry Look
Hi guys!
Today I want to show you an EOTD. When I showed you the latest 120 Palette Swatching episode here *click*, my dear friend Salander asked me to do a look with the cranberry color. So here it is!
I tried to step out of my comfort zone a bit, and this this cranberry brown red look. It's blended a lot, and in the inner corner I used a copper gold glitter. In the pictures you unfortunately can't tell it that well that I used more colors, but that's okay.
On the lid I used Catrice - My First Copperware Party, and then the cranberry from the 120 Palette over that, and in the crease, as well as on the outer part of the lower lash line. The golden copper color is Catrice - Spiced Bronze. For the brown eyeliner I used Essence's BBC All Night Brown gel eyeliner, and on the water line p2's perfect look kajal in brown. My mascara is Catrice Evolution To Revolution Volume Mascara.
Hope you like this look, Salander :) And all of you others, too, of course ;)
Until next time!
xoxo, Misch

NOTD October 8th: Owl Nail Art
Hello dear readers :)
Today I want to show you a super cute fall mani, owls :)
When I saw this post *click* on ChalkboardNails, I knew I had to do it! On her post there is already a tutorial for it :)
My version is a bit different, I used darker colors to make the yellow eyes pop more :)
The green one was done with OPI - Jade Is The New Black and H&M - Dollar Green; the brown one is done with p2 - Live The Moment and p2 - forever; the purple one is done with China Glaze - Grape Pop and OPI - Do You Lilac It?; and the gray one is done with Astor - VIP Grey and Manhattan - Gossip Girl. The eyes are L.A.Colors Nail Art Deco in Tangerine and p2 - eternal. For the beaks I used China Glaze - Life Preserver.
Hope you like this one, I think it's very cute :)
See you soon!

Picture Tutorial: Zoo Nail Art: Bird
Hiya!
So the last tutorial for today is the bird nail art, hope you'll like it!
That's what you need for the bird:
- a base coat of your choice (I used Essence - Pro White French)
- a bird color of your choice, like blue or green (here I'm using Manhattan - 77T, in the original I used a bright green no name polish)
- a belly color (Here I used Essence - Ahoy, and in the original I used L.A.Colors Nail Art Deco in Tangerine)
- a white nail polish (I used Essence - Ahoy)
- a black nail polish (I used p2 - eternal)
- an orange polish (I used China Glaze - Life Preserver)
- a tool like a small brush, a dotting tool, the end of a bobby pin or a toothpick (I used a small paint brush and Essence's Nail Art Stylist)
- a top coat of your choice (I used Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer)
That's how to do the bird:
1. Apply your base coat to all of your nails.
2. Create the bird by using your blue or whatever color polish in a half circle on the tip of your nail.
3. While the color is still a bit wet, drag 3 little feathers out of the head with a small tool.
4. Now do the bird's belly by adding the lighter color in a half circle.
5. For the eyes you want to use white dots, and within them black dots.
6. Create the beak by painting a small orange triangle.
7. Finish it off with a nice coat of your top coat.
That's it for this tutorial!
I really hope this helped you out, Mary! And all of you others, too :D
Leave me some links if you try out any of these designs I showed you today :)
Until next time,
xoxo, Misch
