Review: Nivea PowerFruit Relax Shower Gel

Hey everyone,
I feel like I've already mentioned this review some time in January or something, but I totally forgot all about it. Well, now I've remembered to type this review, so here you go:
Information:

  • Nivea's Powerfruit Relax Shower Gel
  • with HydraIQ
  • with the scent of the acai berry
  • costs about 1,50 Euros
  • contains 250 ml
Positives:
  • price
  • availability
  • great scent
  • it's a great pick-me-up shower gel for the morning
Negatives:
  • doesn't lather as much
  • isn't moisturizing, I need a body lotion afterwards
enlarge to read the ingredients!
After all, this shower gel is nice. It's not the best one I've ever tried, but it's not bad, either. So I suggest you smell it at the store, and if you like it, you can get it. I don't recommend it for very dry skin, though, unless you don't mind applying lotion.
Has anyone of you tried this shower gel?
xoxo, Misch

NOTD March 13th: Essence Show Your Feet - Flashy Pink

Hi guys!
While I was sick I didn't wear polish for a full week, and I also cut them down. Now I'm fit again, and I have to wear polish again! Well, I want to wear polish again ;)
With the sun being out so nicely, I went for something colorful, and what color is better than pink?! So I did hot pink nubbin nails ;)
Essence's Flashy Pink is an old polish, from their Show Your Feet Line. The line still exists, but this polish doesn't anymore. But any hot pink creme, like most brands have it, will do.
Application was nice, despite the fact that it's so old (3 years? 4 years maybe?). It applied flawlessly with 2 nice coats, I'm super happy with it.
It puts me in a great mood, I love painting my nails, and I haven't worn a hot pink in what feels like forever! But it's great for spring :)
What do you think of hot pink?

Previews for April

Hey there!
I'm back, yay :D My illness is over, finally! I was so so bored, just resting in my bed, and I missed blogging! But I didn't have the energy to do it :P Now I have, though, and I can't wait to post new things :)
For a start, even though you might have all already seen it, Previews! Here you go:
Essence's LE for April is called Fruity, here *click* are the promo pics. The colors are all pastels, like light green and peach and stuff. The types of products are definitely nice and not too usual, but I'm not a fan of the colors...Somehow this is nothing I would use. I bet I'm gonna save my money on this one!
Catrice, on the other hand, totally wows me. Their LE is called Revoltaire, and here *click* are the promo pics for it. I really like this LE, the products and colors are fun, and they're way more what I want spring things to look like. The design of the eyeshadow palettes is just pure awesomeness, and look at that blush! Gorgeous! I definitely need a few things ;)
What do you think of these LEs?

Short Break

Hey everyone,
I'm sorry I've been missing here! The thing is, I'm pretty ill and just don't have the energy to blog regularly. So please, don't be angry if it's a little quieter here, I need to recover!
Hope you are all well,
xoxo, Misch

NOTD March 3rd: Essence Color3 - Midnight Date (City That Never Sleeps)

Hey everyone!
Today I want to show you a polish I got a few days ago. Here *click* you can see first swatches and bottle pics and stuff :)
This polish is part of Essence's new permanent Color3 line, a series of double-ended polishes.
Midnight Date is a dark navy blue polish with a fine and super pretty shimmer. The shimmer reminds me a bit of China Glaze - Rodeo Fanatic (*click*), actually! It's really nice already on its own. And then there's the other side of the duo polish, called City That Never Sleeps. I love the fact that is has its own name :D It's a blue-green-purple sheer base with flakies :) The flakies are blue-green and change their look, so they're duochrome flakies! :D Make sure you enlarge the pictures!
Application was nice, considering the fact that it's double-ended and therefore a bit awkward to hold. But it's worth it, and the consistency of the polish is great, super easy to apply :) I did 2 coats of Midnight Date, and 2 on top of City That Never Sleeps.
This mani is so so gorgeous, and I just had to try it matte. Making it matte makes the flakies stand out more, but it also looks flatter. I think I prefer it shiny :D
What do you think of it? I love it!

Review: Essence MySkin Tinted Moisturizer

Hi there!
I know you're all waiting for this review, so I tried to be quick with it, haha :D Here you go:
Information:
  • Essence Tinted Moisturizer
  • part of their permanent MySkin series
  • just released in February
  • available in 2 shades: light and dark, but it's supposed to adapt to your skin
  • contains 50 ml/1.69 fl oz
  • costs 1,95 Euros
  • contains peach seed oil and acai berry extract
  • oil-free
  • contains light-reflecting pigments, protective uva/uvb filters
  • supposed to moisturize your skin for 24h
Positives:
  • price
  • availability
  • nice creamy but fruity scent
  • nice light consistency
  • you don't feel it on, super comfortable
  • it doesn't break me out
  • it doesn't get caky
  • easy to apply with fingers/brush/sponge
  • evens out your skin nicely
  • moisturizes slightly
  • the light version fits me nicely
Negatives:
  • won't be enough moisture for dry skin
  • at the end of the day I get a bit shiny
  • it doesn't really cover up the more apparent flaws
After all, I like this tinted moisturizer a lot :) It looks nice on, I look fresh in the morning and it's nice to wear :) If you look for coverage this is nothing for you, but if you just want a little bit of evenness, or don't mind using concealer, this is great :) And for the price, you can definitely give it a try! As far as the colors are concerned, I suggest you try it out at the store, just to be sure. It does adapt a little, but better try it first!
Will you try it out?
xoxo, Misch
