Hi there!
Today I want to tell you another little thing that happened at my local drugstore lately! Here *click* I already told you a little story, and now I want to share another one :)
So I was, like I always am, in the make-up aisle at the same drugstore I was last time. I first looked at the Essence counter and then went over to the Catrice section where I overheard a little conversation.
There was this woman talking to the shop assistant. She was about 50 I'd say, considering the wrinkles she had around her eyes. She had blond hair, and a fake tan that was a little patchy in her face. She told the shop assistant she needed a new foundation, and if she had any recommendations. I thought this might get interesting, so I kept listening ;) The shop assistant was a little younger than the woman, and turned out to be well-informed and nice. She asked what kind of foundation she wanted, and the woman replied that she wanted a mattifying one. So the shop assistant walked her over to the Catrice counter and said she could try Catrice's Infinite Matt Foundation. All they had to do now was finding a matching shade, but that seemed to be the problem. The shop assistant pulled out a tester and said the woman should try out the shade on her neck. You need to know that at this counter, all the testers have the same colored packaging, a light color. So the woman was like: No way, this is way too light for me! The shop assistant laughed and told her that the packaging's a different color. So she opened the tester, but the woman was still like: Way too light!, even though I found that the color was pretty good. Apparently she decided to find her own color, because she pulled out the darkest shade and was like: That one's better! The shop assistant tried to tell her that this shade was really not matching, and that it would look fake. But the woman started arguing, that she wanted to look tan, and she knew herself what she needed. The girl from the shop seemed to really know all about it, because she started to explain that it would look patchy easily, and that when she went into the sun, you would definitely be able see that the color is wrong. But the woman said: I want the shade to be bronze, that would work! And they kept arguing about it, by the time I had to leave a few minutes later they were still talking about it.
I really find it crazy that some people don't believe what they're told, and that they just can't see the real thing. Sure, it might be possible that before this visit she had no idea of the perfect color, but when the shop assistant was so nice and explained everything to her, she could have believed it!
Do you know any people like that, who don't listen to good advice in that kinda thing?
See you soon

NOTD September 17th: Kiko - 266
Hey everyone!
So I know I'm posting A LOT of NOTDs lately, but I just want to show you all these pretty colors! I kinda change my nail polish at least every other day, so that gives me a lot of stuff to post ;) Hope you don't mind, I'm of course also doing other postings :)
Now, let's get into today's polish. It's by Kiko, in the shade 266. Now, I've never been to a Kiko store in my life, even though I'd love to. But a really good friend of mine was in Nice during her summer break, and she brought this polish home for me. I'm so glad there are still people who give me nail polishes, because for example my best friend is always like: no way, I'm not gonna get you another nail polish, you have enough ;) But thank you so much Charly, I really love this polish!
Okay, onto the actual polish now ;) 266 is a medium blue with a bright blue shimmer that makes it glow. I know I'm kinda in a blue mood, this is the 4th blue polish in a row that I'm showing you ;) But this polish is way brighter than any blue I own, it's so illuminated and bright, but still not in-your-face.
Unfortunately the sun wasn't out, so I didn't get the chance to take some pictures of the gorgeous illuminating shimmer, sorry :/ Maybe some other time!
Application was great, this is two super easy smooth coats. I love it! The bubbling on my middle finger is due to my top coat, not the polish's fault ;)
This really makes me crave more Kiko polishes ;)
Do you own any stuff by Kiko? Anything you can recommend highly?
Talk to you soon!
xoxo, Misch

NOTD September 16th: First Ever Franken! :)
Hey there!
So today I want to show you a nail polish I mixed myself, a franken! It's the first one I ever did, and I'm so proud of myself! There are so many talented people who make the most gorgeous franken polishes, and I'm still a beginner at this. But it's so much fun, and I already made a few colors more that I'll be showing you in the future :)For my first ever franken I used a recipe I found on ThePolishedPerfectionist here *click*. I just loved it, so I had to recreate it! For my version I used half a bottle of clear polish (Essence Color&Go in Absolute Pure), half a bottle of multi-colored glitter polish (Essence Nail Art Special Effect Topper in Circus Confetti) and 5 drops each of 2 different blues (Manhattan - Do You Twitter? and OPI - Suzi Says Feng Shui).
It is meant to be a jelly, and to be only semi-opaque. In my pics I have horrible Visible Nail Line (VNL), but in real life it's not as bad. It's just the macro that exaggerates it a little.
I'm really happy with my first franken, and it definitely won't be my last. Do you guys franken?
Talk to you later!

Review: Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base
Hi there!
Now I'm finally getting around to doing this review about the new eyeshadow base from Essence, called I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base. It's new in the permanent line and should be available at pretty much all the drugstores by now. Let's get into the review!
Information:
Now I'm finally getting around to doing this review about the new eyeshadow base from Essence, called I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base. It's new in the permanent line and should be available at pretty much all the drugstores by now. Let's get into the review!
Information:
- part of the I Love line in the permanent line
- comes in a flacon with a sponge tip applicator, just like a lipgloss
- has a very creamy but light texture
- in the bottle it looks yellow-ish, but when blended out it is more skin-toned
- contains 4 ml and costs 2,45 Euros
Positives:
- price
- availability
- easy to apply
- evens out your skin tone
- you only need a tiny bit of it
- it intensifies the eyeshadow
- it prevents creasing
- it makes everything last all day
Negatives:
- it's easy to get too much product on the lid, you only need the tiniest amount!
- you need to blend it out well before it dries
I have to say I really like this eyeshadow base! It does anything I want a nice eyeshadow base to do. The only problem is really the amount, the first time I used I had way too much on my lid ;)
It's really enough to just once dab it onto your lid and then blend.
Do you like it? And do you maybe want me to compare it to my RdLY eyeshadow base?
See you later!

NOTD September 14th: Essence Blue Addicted Layering
Hi everyone,
this is the second glitter polish by Essence I want to show you. It's called Blue Addicted, and it's a very sheer dark blue jelly base with blue small glitter and blue and green hexagonal big glitter.
Since it is this sheer, I didn't want to bother with applying like 4 coats, so I layered it over a polish I was wearing anyway, Catrice's Be Indiglow! from their Bohemia LE, which I showed to you yesterday here *click*. The dark blue base is perfect for this polish, and I love the combination of the two of them!
I'm wearing 2 coats of Be Indiglow!, and 2 coats of Blue Addicted. Blue Addicted applied nicely, it was only a little hard to get the hex glitter spread evenly. But that doesn't make this polish any worse, I just love it!
It's definitely something for all blue and glitter lovers :)
Will you be getting this polish?
Until next time,
xoxo, Misch

NOTD September 13th: Catrice Bohemia LE - C04 Be Indiglow!
Hey there!
Today I'm wearing Catrice's nail polish in Be Indiglow! from the Bohemia LE that I showed you here *click*.
Be Indiglow! is a dark blue with a lighter blue shimmer that makes it a little more special. It only needs one coat which is so cool! I did 2, because I always do 2 coats, but it really doesn't make a difference. The brush is, like I mentioned in the LE post, a little weird, it's tapered and really thick and wide. Do you have the same issue with your polish, or is it just mine?
I also had a tiny bit of bubbling, but I don't know whether that's due to this polish or my base coat.
The color reminds me a little of China Glaze's Rodeo Fanatic, which can be seen here *click*. But when you compare them, you can tell that Rodeo Fanatic is way brighter and has more shimmer in it. So, no dupes here.
The color of Be Indiglow! is really pretty, but it's still pretty common. I'm a tiny bit disappointed because I expected it to be more special. Oh, well, can't change that.
If you like blues, especially this type, get your hands on it while you can, because due to being a 1 coater, it's a great pick!
Do you like this color?
See you soon!
