Hey guys!
Today I want to show you another polish I got in Italy, 300 by Kiko.
300 is one of those blue-green-turquoise mermaid kind of colors, super pretty :) It has a fine shimmer and a few tiny glitter particles. It looks glowy and deep and pretty :)
Application was great, just like with any other Kiko polish I own. They're all just awesome! For this one I ended up doing 3 thin coats because it was a little patchy after the second one, but that was no problem for me. It glided on really nicely :)
I love those blue green shades, and this one is special with the almost metallic shimmer and the little glitter particles. But somehow I like it better in the bottle than on my nails...it's pretty, but it's not the best shade for my skin tone in my opinion. Doesn't matter, I'll still wear it :D
What do you think of it?

Swatches: Essence MySkin Tinted Moisturizer in Medium/Dark
Hey everyone!
When I got back from my vacation, I was really way tanner than I normally am. Unfortunately a part of that has already faded, but you can still tell I spent some time in the sun. So with my tan I needed a new shade of foundation for my face, my old one really was way too light! That's why I stopped at the local drugstore and just picked up the darker version of Essence's MySkin Tinted Moisturizer. I figured a tinted moisturizer would be enough for the summer, and since I love the light version, I wanted to give the dark one a try.
Now, the bottle says it's for medium to dark skin tones, and it really is dark! And also very warm toned, I'd make sure to check the shade if you want to get it.
In the pictures you can see it compared to the lighter version, and the difference is really apparent.
This version actually is too dark for me, even with my tan skin, but I found a good solution: I just mix the light and the dark moisturizer the way I need it! That works perfectly for me, and I'm really happy I can create my own customized shade of tinted moisturizer :D
I already wrote a review about the light one, which can be found here *click*. The dark version only differs in terms of color, so there won't be an additional review.
Do you get darker shades of foundation during the summer?

NOTD June 12th: Stillday - 38
Hey there!
Today I want to show you a nail polish I picked up during my vacation in Italy. It's the color 38 from a brand called Stillday and it's made in Italy.
38 is very dark blackened blue creme. It's very very dark, sometimes you can hardly tell it's blue. I thought it was a jelly, but when you apply it you can tell that it's actually more of a creme.
Application was great, it was already pretty opaque with 1 coat, but I did a second one to correct little mistakes I made. The formula is nice and creamy, but you gotta be really careful that you don't mess it up. It's super hard to correct little mistakes afterwards, so do you best with the application!
In the pictures I'm wearing 2 coats as well as base and top coat.
Now, I already removed this, and let me tell you, it was horrible. I don't think I ever had a polish that stained my hands as much! It smears everywhere, and that's also what makes cleanup or touch ups really hard! You want to be patient with it, removal will take a while.
Bottom line, I'm not utterly smitten with this polish, but that's only due to the bad removal. The polish itself is great, and for 1 Euro I really can't complain.
What do you think of it?

Spotted: Catrice Coolibri
Hey there!
Today I want to talk about Catrice's latest LE, called Coolibri. It's a summer-themed one!
Today I want to talk about Catrice's latest LE, called Coolibri. It's a summer-themed one!
This LE contains 1 blush jelly, 1 lip balm, 4 eyeshadow sticks, 1 eyeliner, 4 lipglosses and 5 nail polishes. Here *click* you can see the promo pics.
The blush jelly comes in a little pot and it's a red color. It's super duper sheer and thin and jelly-like, you have to feel this consistency :D Unfortunately a lot of bloggers wrote negative reviews about it, saying it's too sheer, so I left it at the store.
The lip balm is just a regular light pink lip balm that is really sheer. The packaging of it is so so cute, I love the print and everything! I seriously was tempted to buy it, but not for the price of 5 Euros. That's a little too much for a lip balm in my opinion!
The eyeshadow sticks are all shimmery colors, and they are really fun for summer. They all seemed to be very pigmented, and I got myself the champagne colored one, called C01 Precious Nectar. It's opaque and super pretty! Can't wait to wear it!
The eyeliner is a golden one, not so much my taste, but matching for a summer LE.
The lipglosses are all very sheer again. They looked nice, but I have enough sheer glosses...the blue one doesn't look blue on your lips, btw, it's one of those glosses that make your teeth look whiter because of the blue tones.
The nail polishes are all bright and fun colors, as far as I know all with a shimmer. I bought one of them, a really pretty green with a glowy shimmer. It tends to have some brushstrokes, but it's opaque with 2 coats and I like it a lot :) It's called C05 Virgin Forest.
After all, a nice and colorful LE! I would have bought more things if I didn't tell myself to be reasonable :D
What do you think of it?

NOTD June 10th: Kiko - 240
Hey there!
Today it's finally time to show you a NOTD! I'm wearing Kiko's 240.
240 is a deep red creme, and it's very blue-toned. It's a little like a blood red, but very wearable and pretty. I'd say it's actually one of those classy shades of red that everyone should own!
Application was great, this only took 2 nice coat, and that's also what I have on in the pictures, plus base and top coat. It's a very squishy polish, this consistency applies like a dream. No problems at all!
The color actually reminds me a little of Essie's Limited Addiction, and I'm sure you could find a lot of dupes for it. It's not the most original color, but it's stunning and the quality's great :)
What do you think of 240? Do you like this type of classy red?

Haul from Italy!
Hey there!
Today I want to show you a few nail polishes I picked up in Italy. I had actually planned to get a bigger variety of cosmetic products, not only nail polishes, and also visit a Sephora, but somehow this plan didn't work out. I was so busy being at the beach and visiting the beautiful country that I didn't really get the chance to go into "real" cosmetic stores...maybe next time! But at that moment making the most of my vacation was a little more important to me than shopping :D
I picked up most of these polishes at little supermarket/dollar stores around the area I spent my vacation, and to be honest, I don't really know anything about these brands...maybe someone can tell whether I bought only crap or something good?! :D
First of all, these was this brand called Stillday. I bought 2 of their polishes, and each one was 1 Euro. It actually says on the bottle that it's made in Italy, so it's definitely from there. It contains 15 ml.
Stillday's 38 is a dark blackened blue that applies a little like a jelly but it perfectly opaque at 2 coats. It's so pretty, and I didn't expect it to be this opaque!
Stillday's 11 is a glitter polish. It's blue round glitter in a almost clear, slightly blue-tinted base. I thought it might be cool with 38. For the swatch I did 3 coats, and it's not opaque yet, it's better for layering.
Next, a local store had tons and tons of Yesensy nail polishes, and they were all 1 Euro as well. At first I thought they were Italian, too, but Google told me it's actually a Spanish brand! They seem to have different lines of nail polish, because some bottle shapes are different.
Yesensy's 028 is a dark red with a strong golden duochrome. It's super pretty, looks different at each angle, and I like it a lot. I did 3 thin coats on the nail wheel.
Yesensy's 052 looks crazy in the bottle, it's a sheer warm purple with all kinds of glitter, mainly purple and orange. When applied, however, it's a slightly tinted polish with fine glitter, almost like flakies. I'm sure this makes a good effect polish! Swatch is 3 coats.
Yesensy's 045 is from the scented polish line, and when dry it's supposed to smell like melon. I gotta sniff at it some time, didn't do that yet. It's a deep blue with smooth glitter that applies nicely and looks really deep on. I did 2 coats for the swatch.
And, the last brand I bought something from, is nothing unfamiliar: Kiko. When I saw the store I just quickly had to get in and get myself 2 nail polishes. I'll have the time to look at other Kiko stuff in detail back in Germany.
Kiko's 240 is a deep almost bloody red creme, and it applies almost like a jelly, super pleasant consistency. Twocoater.
Kiko's 300 is a green-toned blue with a shimmer and micro-glitter, it's one of those mermaid-shades and super stunning. Again a twocoater. Have I mentioned that Kiko polishes are just perfect? I love them :)
So, this is what I got! What do you think of it? Do you know any of the brands?
When I was in San Marino, btw, I was looking out for inexpensive stuff, since you can get a lot of things duty-free there. In one store they actually seemed to sell Chanel and Dior polishes for 10 Euros, and I got totally excited. But then I had a look at the bottles: each said "tester, not for sale". I was so disappointed! I mean, I'm not gonna buy a tester, especially not when I can't even see whether it's still nice. Who would want to buy a tester?! Don't get it...
See you soon,
xoxo, Misch
