Hey there!
Yesterday I showed you a little Kiko haul, and today I have nail swatches of one of the polishes for you, Kiko 242.
242 is a deep red cranberry kinda color, with shimmer that looks golden at some angles. The shimmer gives it a warm touch, the color itself is rather cool-toned.
Application was fine, but the formula is a little on the thin side. I ended up needing 3 coats for full opacity, that's also what is shown in the pictures. Other than that I had no application issues.
I like this glowy shade, it really comes to life in direct sunlight and looks so pretty :)
What do you think of it?

Kiko Sale Haul
Hey there!
My sister recently went to Munich, and she brought some pretty awesome stuff back home for me: some nail polishes and nail art brushes from Kiko :)
I want to show you these things and also let you know about the sale Kiko is having in lots of their stores: tons of individual products on sale, all nail polishes for 1,50 Euros, all nail art brushes for 1 Euro, and even more great deals! I'd recommend you check out your local Kiko store :)
Now, my sister got two polishes for me, and here they are:
242 is a deep red with a golden shimmer that makes it look a little like a cranberry shade of color. It's super pretty, and I used 3 coats for my swatch.
374 is a dark brown shade, and it has tons of warm golden/brown shimmer in that make it look a lot more glowy. It can look flat and dark inside, but direct light makes it come to life :) Swatch is 2 coats.
And, the nail art brushes she got me:
400 is an angled nail art brush, and it is quite big. I at first had no idea what to use it for, but on the back of the packaging it has a good idea I might try, concerning gradients and glitter :)
402 is a small brush with a curved tip. I think this will be great for freehanding and drawing things :)
I love the stuff my sister got me - thanks! - and can't wait to try it out :)
Did you get something from the Kiko sale?

NOTD August 20th: Catrice - George Blueney
Hey everyone!
Sorry for the short breaks between posts, I'm kinda busy right now and already try to use every chance to blog :) Hope you don't mind when it's a little more quiet around here every now and then!
Today I want to show you Catrice's George Blueney, one of their new polishes.
George Blueney is a dark greyish blue shade with tons of shimmer in it. The shimmer is also blue and looks really great, especially in direct sunlight :)
Application of this one was great, it has such good coverage! I ended up using 2 coats just to be sure, but it was already pretty much opaque after the first coat :) No issues with the formula, either.
What do you think of George Blueney? It's available as a part of the new permanent line :)

Catrice Hollywood's Fabulous 40ties LE Preview
Hey there!
Just want to show you a quick preview of an upcoming Catrice LE, called Hollywood's Fabulous 40ties. It'll be released in the beginning of September. Here *click* you can see the promo pics.
I really like the theme of the LE, and also the colors! The soft pink shades that aren't pastel but super natural in a way that I'd love to wear them! I also like the design, it's just really pretty!
Catrice also already launched the promo pics for another September LE, so it seems like they're doing 2 this month. Looking forward to seeing them at the store!

NOTD August 14th: Catrice - Steel My Heart
Hey everyone!
Today I want to show you one of Catrice's new polishes in their permanent line, called 900 Steel My Heart.
Steel My Heart is a brownish gray shade, and it contains lots of shimmer. It has a strong purple undertone. The shimmer particles look a little like mini scattered holo particles as they change color in the sunlight. This effect doesn't really stand out, however.

Application of Steel My Heart was nice, it worked well in 2 coats. Since it has the so-called Brushed Metal Effect, which is basically a Satin finish, it dries quickly.
For the pictures I used a top coat, that's why it looks shiny and not satin :D
I really like the color of Steel My Heart, the shimmer really brightens it up and makes it so much more fun :)

Spotted: Catrice New Permanent Line for Fall 2012
Hi there!
Today I want to talk about Catrice's new permanent line! Here *click* you can find an overview of all of the new products.
They launched both entirely new product lines and new colors of already existing products. I think that everything looks good, there's nothing I would say is ugly or not matching for Catrice. Some new colors are really super pretty, I liked the blushes and the polishes a lot.
For now I got myself 2 nail polishes which I want to show you:
The first one is called 900 Steel My Heart, and it's a dark brownish grey with a strong shimmer and purple undertones. It has a "new" finish, called Brushed Metal Effect, which is basically like a Satin. It dries matte, but not utterly matte, more of a mix between glossy and matte. It's super pretty in this case with the shimmer, looks good! Here I have 2 coats of it swatched. In the photos you unfortunately can't really tell the Satin finish, I hope I'll be able to picture it better when I wear it!
The other polish I got is called 915 George Blueney. It's a very dark greyish blue base with tons of blue shimmer in it. It's super shiny and glowy and looks especially good in direct sunlight! It's pretty much a one coater, but I did 2 coats for my swatch.
I can't wait to wear these polishes!
What do you think of the new Catrice stuff?

NOTD August 10th: Essence - Glamorous Life
Hey everyone!
I'm sure you know Essence is changing their whole nail polish line, and before it was too late, I got myself this polish of the Color&Go line: the shade Glamorous Life.
Glamorous Life is a cool-toned pink shade that leans red. It has a lot of shimmer in it, and it's kind of like a mix between a foil and a glass fleck. It's super sparkly, too.
Application of this polish was nice, but it is on the rather sheer side. I ended up using 3 coats for full coverage, and they were needed.
I really love this girly and fun shade! In case you like it, make sure you get it now while you still can!
