NOTD September 5th: L.A. Colors - Treasure Island

Hi again!
I know, this is my third post today but I'm really in the mood for it right now!
Today I painted my nails with the L.A. Colors Color Craze nail polish in Treasure Island. Its a glitter nail polish and in the bottle it looks like it's a turquoise jelly with silver glitter, but it's actually a clear base with both turquoise and silver glitter in it. It was pretty easy to apply, but it required three coats for full opacity. Drying time was okay and the surface is kinda uneven, but that doesn't change with topcoat, which is weird, because I thought it would get smooth, but it didn't after two coats of topcoat... I'm curious if it will be very hard to remove, because it's like that with most glitter nail polishes. I'll update this post when I find out :)

EDIT: I remove it after I wore it for 5 days, and it stayed without chipping or tip-wear, but I wore two coats of top coat. Removal was okay, not as hard as I thought it would be, but you definitely have to be patient. I think it's worth the removal process!

Okay guys, that's really it for today :) promise :)
I'll see you soon :)

Nivea Ideal Finish Foundation Review + Use It Up! Product 3

Hi dear readers,
I told you I got the Nivea Beaute Ideal Finish Foundation in this haul, and I thought you might want to hear my thoughts on it!
Basic information:
It claims to give an ideal, even teint and to be longlasting. The foundation is oil-free and non-comedogenic (that means it won't clog your pores). According to the website, it has SPF 8 and contains Vitamine E. It costs something between 6.95 and 9.95 Euros, depending on where you buy it and it's available in 6 different colors. I'm using the color 02 Nude. It's supposed to give high coverage.
It comes in a tube that is in a natural color with a blue bottom and blue text.

Consistency and scent:
The consistency isn't really that liquid, it's more creamy, but still very light and easy to apply. It has a light scent, I'd describe it as a typical lotion/foundation scent. The smell is very light and only noticeable on the face in the first few minutes.
Application and coverage:
The foundation is easy to blend out and it doesn't get streaky, but it does sort of stick to the hair on you face, you want to make sure that it doesn't look weird. I applied it with my fingers and with two different brushes.
With my fingers it was really easy to blend it out and to achieve and even teint. The coverage was not really that high, I still had to use concealer, but if you are fine with medium coverage, this will work for you.
Then I applied it with the Essence Blush Brush.
Yeah, I know, it's a blush brush, but it worked really well! The coverage was now high, I didn't have to use any concealer, although I had some pimples and blackheads. The only downside to this was that I had to use more product, because the bristles of the brush seemed to absord more product than they gave to the skin.
The second brush I used was the Beliance Foundation Brush
(available at Douglas and very inexpensive!) and this one was really good, too! It gave the same even look as the Essence Blush Brush did, and it gave high coverage, too, but this one didn't absorb that much product!
So I prefer to apply it with the Beliance Brush.

Finish and wear:
It looks really even and gives high coverage and it looks a bit powder-y, so you might not even have to set it with powder.
I reallt lasted all day long without fading too much. It doesn't get greasy or oily over the day (even with my oily skin!) and it's still there at the end of the day.

Bottom line:
I really like this foundation! It didn't cause me any break-outs and it gives a nice evne teint with high coverage, so I'm totally happy with it. I don't know if you can really call it ideal, but that's different for every person.

What do you think? Have you already tried this one? Would you like to give it a try? Tell me!

Project Use It Up!: I finished my Peach Body Butter from TheBodyShop today.
I love this one, so I'll repurchase it soon, but not before I finished Project Use It Up!

Okay guys, I'll see y'all soon! Bye, Misch

NOTD September 3rd: Manhattan - 77T + some exciting news!

Hey there,

today I'm wearing Manhattan - 77T on my nails, a navy blue color from the Spice Up Your Nails! Collection. I really really love this color, it's the perfect navy blue creme to me. I already own some Manhatten nail polishes that caused me some issues with applying, so I was almost a bit afraid to paint my nails with it. I have to say, it's not perfect to apply, but it's okay. Not as bad as I feared. The color isn't that longlasting, it already chipped one day after I applied it.
So, if you are fine with the fact that it isn't perfect to apply, and you love the color, get it, as long as it's still available! It costs something between 2,95 and 3,95 Euros, depending on where you buy it.

And I have some exciting news for you! It might not be that exciting for some of you, but I am super excited about it! I went to Munich to shop (yes, I have a little haul, I might post it tomorrow...yeah, I know, project use it up...but I don't really get to see these stores often) and guess what I found: the Fashion Club store (Neuhauser Str. 33, 80331 München, as far as I know) sells mainly clothing, but they have L.A Color Nail Polishes, and, even more exciting, a whole, huge NYX counter!! Isn't that amazing!? I love NYX so much! The prices are a bit high, though, a Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil is 5.99 Euros for example, and the 10 Color Eyeshadow Palettes are 12.99 Euros each, but it's perfect to swatch, try out, and find out what you wanna get for you next online purchase! So, if you in Munich, check it out!

I hope you found this helpful and I'll see you guys next time!
xoxo, Misch

EOTD September 2nd: Jesse's Girl + Use It Up! Product 2

Hi guys,
today I'll show you my EOTD! It's a version of the neutral color pop that I already showed you here, I just did it with some Jesse's Girl products. On the lid I used the Eye Dust in Sunstone, in the crease the Eye Dust in Cafe Au Lait and in the inner corner the Eye Dust in Kiwi Rose. I added a dark brown (Essence Silky Smooth eyeshadow) to the outer corner to darken up the look a bit and lined my eye with the Essence Eyeliner Pen on the top lashline. For the lower lashline I used a light blue cream shadow from the Jesse's Girl Mini Eye Compact #2. I love this look and I've been doing it for the past couple of days! For my lips I used the Jesse's Girl Mini Lipgloss Collection.
Unfortunately, my camera wasn't able to pick up the beautiful shimmer the Eye Dusts have, so it looks more boring than it is in real life!

And, I finished up my second product! If you don't know what I mean, I explained it here. The product I used up is the Essence 12h hand protection balm in repair! I'm happy I'm out of it, because I didn't like the smell anymore!

I'll see you guys soon!
Bye, Misch

August 2010 Favorites

Hi there,
today I'm gonig to show you my August Favorites. I'll do that every month from now on at either the very end of the month or at the beginning of the next one. It's basically a blog post where I show you the products I used a lot during the month or that I loved and I also might add some none beauty-related stuff. A lot of bloggers are already doing that and I really like these kind of posts, so I decided to do it, too!
I hope you'll like it!

My favorites for the month of August are:
Rival de Loop Yound Care Mascara - I used it as a browgel and it worked really well.
Essence Eyeliner Pen - I love it so much because it's so easy to draw a thin, straight line with this.
Yves Rocher Les Plaisirs Nature Baume Nourrissan in Fraise - I used it really often because it adds some shine and a hint of color to the lips without being too much.
Essence Lipliner in 01 sof rose - It's a nice nude pink, you can even wear it on it's own.
Yves Rocher Watercolor Effect Blush in Corail Nude - Ever since I bought it I've been using this gel blush alomost every day.
China Glaze Nail Polish in Outta Bounds - It's such a pretty color and it applies perfectly.
Gossip Girl - On the picture it is the first season on dvd, but I've been loving everything about it: the books, the series, the actors, the story...

So, these were my favorites for August! What are your favorites? Did you love any of the mentioned stuff, too? I'd like to know!
Until next time, guys! xoxo, Misch

Project: Use It Up! Product 1

Hey everyone,
as you may have noticed, I'm posting a lot of hauls lately and that is starting to become a little expensive, so I decided to start a project. I called it "Use It Up!"and that's how I'll do it:
I'm trying to use up some of my prducts, mainly ones that are already used up a bit and ones that will go to waste if I don't use them up pretty soon. I set myself a limit of 10 products, but that's just for now, and I'm not allowed to buy any more stuff before I used 10 products up.
Of course, there have to be some exceptions: I'm allowed to buy stuff when it's either limited edition or it's going to be discontinued or it's something I don't get too easily, at certain stores I don't visit often, for example. This sounds a bit like cheating to me, but I think it's fine.
I'm going to write a post when I used something up, but I'm not going to write single posts about it, I'll just add a short text to a post about something different.

So, I already have something for you guys today: I used up my TheBodyShop Super Volume Mascara! I happy that it's finally finished up because lately it became too dry, but I didn't want to throw it away when there was still some product left.
I'm sorry I don't have a photo for you, but it's been raining all day so I wasn't able to take a good picture. But, whatever...

So, what do you guys think? Is it a good idea? Do you do something similar, too? Or do you think it's completely nonsense? Tell me!
Until then, xoxo, Misch
