40 Beauty Questions Tag!

Hey everyone, 
today I was in the mood for a tag, and here you have one I found on Youtube:
The 40 BEAUTY QUESTIONS TAG! :)
Let's get started:

SKINCARE
-How many times do you wash your face daily?
Twice a day. Every morning and night, because I feel that this is important!
-What skin type do you have? (dry,oily,combo)
Combination oily I guess you would call it. It's more oily than dry, but not everywhere...;) a little weird to describe!
-What is your current facial wash?
The Synergen Wash Creme. Here *click* you can see it in my skincare routine.
-Do you exfoliate?
Yes, but not regularly. I used to, but now I only exfoliate my skin with an actual exfoliator when I feel like it need it, because my normal face wash has little exfoliating particles in it. I maybe should do it regularly again...
-What brand do you use?
I used the Yves Rocher one (*click* for a review) and currently have the Aqua one by Alverde laying around (*click* for a review)
-What moisturizer do you use?
The one by Synergen, also mentioned in this routine post *click*
-Do you have freckles?
No, I don't.
-Do you use eye cream?
No, because I feel like I'm still too young for it.
-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
Yes, I did pretty badly, and I still have a little left, but it's fine. I don't have huge issues with it ;)
-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
No, I didn't, it's not even very popular or well-known here.

MAKE-UP
-What foundation do you use?
The Astor HD Mattitude one. I'm in the shade 02 Nude (*click* for a review)
-How about concealer?
The Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer in 04 Rose Beige and Benefit erase paste in medium.
-Do you know your undertone color?
No, I actually don't. I've tried to find it out quite some times, but it didn't really work...:P :D
-What do you think of fake eyelashes?
Well, I don't really like them because on me they're a mess and I haven't found nice ones yet...but with some looks, they're really pretty :)
-Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes, I do know that, but I don't really do it all the time. I use up all of my mascaras, as long as they don't dry out or smell weird. And as long as it doesn't take longer than 6 months, I'm fine with it...I know that it's not the best thing to do, though. 
-What brand of mascara do you use?
At the moment RdLY and Maybelline.
-Sephora or MAC?
Not my price range, unfortunately...I can't afford the stuff there, I'm just a little young girl with not a lot of money...
-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
No, I don't.
-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
Brushes all the way! And sometimes sponges, but not regularly.
-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Yes, sure I do! For an eyeshadow base I use the old version without shimmer by RdLY.
-For the face?
No, my moisturizer's enough for me at that point :)
-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
Neutrals, but I can't pick a fave. There are way too many colors available for that ;)
-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Actually rather pencil than liquid eyeliner right now, I change that all the time ;) But I can work with both.
-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Close to never. I'm really careful with my eyes, but sometimes everyone's a little clumsy ;)
-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
I like them :) I prefer pressed ones, but sometimes they're nice.
-Do you use mineral makeup?
I used to do it every now and then, but not really anymore.
-What is your favorite lipstick?
Don't have one, that changes all the time. I normally pick my lipsticks depending on my eye make-up and my mood ;)
-How about lipgloss?
The same as with lipstick.
-What is your favorite blush to use?
And with this one it's the same...Still rotating my colors all the time ;) But if I had to pick one all-time-fave, I'd choose the Baked Blush in Peach by Alverde.
-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
Not, I haven't yet. I guess there are sometimes really great deals, but I've gotten everything in actual stores so far.
-Do you like drugstore makeup?
Yes, I do, as you can tell ;) This blog is actually mainly about drugstore stuff ;)
-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)
Unfortunately I've never been to one so far...
-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
No, not yet...
-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
No, not really ;) I always try to be as good as possible :)
-Name a makeup crime that you hate?
It's not really a crime, not even an actual make-up crime, but I hate people who think they're so great with make-up and then it just looks like a mess with shaky eyeliner and creasing eyeshadows...
-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
More on the neutral side, but a pop of color is sometimes also nice :)
-Which celebrity always has great make up?
I can't really think of one, but I'd say Katy Perry because I like her make-up most of the time ;)
-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item,what would you use?
Foundation :)
-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Yes, I do that all the time!
-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
Yes, I do :) I don't use make-up to hide my actual self...
-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
I really like Catrice make-up right now, but that also changes ;)
-What do you think of Makeup??
I love it ;) As you might notice....xDD

Review: p2 Home Sweet Home LE Blush Stick 01 Soft Pink

Hi everyone,
I just lately got the Hello Gorgeous Blush Stick from the Limited Edition Home Sweet Home by p2 in the color 01 soft pink.

It was 2,65 Euros and also available in a coral color. The color I got, although it's called soft pink, is more of a cherry-ish hot pink. But when you apply it, it gets really sheer and looks nice and naturally flushed.

The consistency of the actual blush stick is kinda hard, so it won't get used up too soon. It also kinda feels like bees-wax, but hard one.

You can layer it to the coverage you want. It lasts fine, but not all day long on me. It  fades a little during the day, but not like crazy, so that's fine.

I really like this blush stick a lot! It was actually my first blush stick ever, and it wasn't hard to use or anything at all :)

Review: Essence Blossoms etc. LE Lipgloss 01 Flowerkissed

Hey there!

A few days ago I spotted the new Limited Edition called Blossoms etc. by Essence.

 I only got one thing, the lipgloss in the darker shade. It's called 01 Flowerkissed and is a cool pink shade with a slight shimmer. 

Although most Essence glosses aren't really pigmented, I still wanted to try this one because I liked the color :) And it's actually quite pigmented, at least more than normal Essence glosses ;) I'd call it semi-opaque, you can really tell the color, so that's cool! 

The shimmer's not too obvious but you can tell it in close-up. The gloss is kinda sticky which makes it last longer but feel a little weird. Because of the stickness it lasts a little longer, I'd say the shine's visible for about 1.5 to 2 hours and the color for another half an hour. 

The taste is sweet but not too noticeable, so it's fine. And for a price of 1.75 Euros it's definitely cool :)

I do like this gloss a lot, and if you like the color, you might wanna take a look at it :)

NOTD April 9th: Lavender Nail Art

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry to post another nail art design since I already did one yesterday, but I don't have anything else to post yet because my next reviews are still taking some more trying out...:P Hope you don't mind!
This nail art piece was actually made-up by myself. I'm not really a creative person, but when I saw my mom's glass to hold a candle with the lavender on it, I knew I had to do it on my nails. And I did :)

That's what you need:
- a base coat (I used Essence Pro White French)
- a light blue shade (I used China Glaze - Sea Spray)
- a light minty green polish (I used Catrice - Sold Out Forever)
- a little darker green color (I mixed Catrice - Sold Out Forever and OPI - Jade Is The New Black)
- a toothpick to draw everything
- a lavender violet polish (I mixed OPI - Do You Lilac It? and Catrice - Pink Spring)
- a top coat (I used Essence Nail Art Sealing Top Coat)

That's how to do it:
1. Use your base coat on all of your nails to protect them.
2. Apply the light blue color to the upper two thirds of your nails.
3. Apply the light green color to the rest of the nail. It can overlap a little with the light blue, that's no problem.
4. Pick up the darker green with the toothpick and draw some grasses and the lavender's stamp.
5. Use your toothpick and the violet color to draw the lavender flower part. You can create them the easiest way by just making some dots around the stamp you already drew.
6. Seal you design with your top coat for protect it.

Well, this design takes quite a few steps and colors, but if you do them properly it's really easy :)

Today I'm wearing a Nail Art Design that I already did last summer here *click*. I only used Hey Sailor! by China Glaze instead of the p2 red I used last time. I like it a lot, it's a cute design :) I'm not gonna say more about it, unless you want me to ;) Hope you like it!

My Lipstick Collection

Essence Lipstick in 35 American Beauty

I don't know if it's available anymore, but not under this name, I think. It's a pink, nude glitter color. The color itself doesn't really show on the lips, but the glitter is pretty obvious. It has a very high-shine finish and glides on easily, but the glitter's chunky. I don't really wear it that often.

TheBodyShop colourglide lipstick in 42 dusk pink

I already reviewed this one here *click*, read through the review to get an idea of what it is like. Basically a nude color, but very sheer. You can basically see nothing at all on the pics...:P

p2 lipstick in 020 sunset boulevard

A very pale pink that I like. It has a shiny finish and is very opaque. I did a LOTD post with it here *click*. It's a little too pale for me.

Catrice Oceana Collection in 02 Ocean Sunrise

I love love love this color so much! It was in my 2010 favs post *click*, because ever since I got it in the summer of that year. It's a pink coral color, so pretty! It's a little bit shiny, but doesn't contain any shimmer.

Catrice Expect the Unexpected Collection in 03 Purposely Purple

A funky purple color with a slight gold shimmer. It's very crazy, and not really wearable, but you can tone it down or wear it for special occasions.

Catrice LongLasting lipstick in 01 lasting pink

I once got this one because I was gonna get the Maybelline Lipstick in Summer Pink, and this one has the same exact color but was like 5 bucks less expensive. Unfortunately it got discontinued, but if you like the color, you can still get the Maybelline one! It's really longlasting, a bright cool-toned pink that's very shimmery with a pretty visible blue hue in it.

Catrice Ultimate Shine Lipstick in 060 Teddy Brown

A warm, brownish red color, really pretty. It's kinda new to the sortiment and I like it a lot. Review you'll find here *click*.

NYX Round Lipstick in Circe

A very neutral color, almost skin-toned. I naturally have dark lips, so it makes me look kinda washed out. So that's why I mainly use this color as a base for bright lipglosses like here *click* with a purple and here *click* with a pink.

RdL Lipstick in 101

One of my first lipsticks, a nice red-orange fall color. It's pretty bright, but you can layer it and tone it down. It's matte and very warm.

RdL Lipstick in 27 

It's a neutral pink with a slight gold shimmer that is a nice every-day color. Like it! Unfortunately it has a kinda dry fomula...The gold hue makes it look not too cold.

[b]basic mineral lipstick in 020 pealy apricot

I already showed this one in this haul *click* a long time ago, and it's basically a shimmery apricot color, but pretty sheer. I don't like it too much because of the taste and the metallic finish.

Well, I already fulfilled number 1, so here's number 2, that's 7 facts about me :) These things are kinda more personal, and some people that I see all the time don't even know about them. I thought I'd share some personal/private and fun stories, because always make-up can be boring...and I think you can already tell most of my make-up favs by this blog :D Here you go:


1. I love love love chocolate, I eat it all the time.
2. I'm really into languages, I'm learning a lot of them, currently I'm studying German (which's not foreign to me, but whatever ;)), English, French and Latin at school, and next year I'll be adding Italian. Languages FTW :D
3. I love Youtube, but I don't really watch that many make-up videos anymore. Two people I really love are Tyler Ward *click* who's doing music covers, and Shane Dawson *click*, who's doing personal and comedy videos. You probably know them already since they're both really popular, but I thought I'd share anyway because I love watching their videos :)
4. I'm an incredibly bubbly person. People tell me all the time that I'm so optimistic, and that's true. I talk like all the time, I'm really really communicative, and I'm always happy :D I don't know if you can tell by just reading my blog, but I hardly ever in a bad mood, and if, then it doesn't really last long :D I'm also extremely curious.
5. I have 2 budgies, and I kinda think that they're french because they make sounds that sound like saying "oui, oui" all the time. So I speak french with them ;) Crazy, I know...
6. I'm a huge fan of the color navy blue. It's probably my fave one. Although I'm a optimistic and happy person (yeah, number 4), whenever I go clothes shopping I buy dark colors. The first color I always reach for is -surprise, surprise- navy blue. And when a shirt's not available in navy blue, I buy black. Kinda weird...Since I love navy blue that much, I'm a huge fan of any nautical-themed things. Yay :)
7. I think that everyone needs some personal and own features. It's just so boring when everyone's the same! That's also why I'm not afraid to be myself and act the way I want. I might come across as a crazy and maybe even weird person, but I don't care about it. There are people that like me the way I am, and if they don't, then I'm fine with it. This is really important to me, and I think that more people should think about it that way.


So these are my 7 random facts, I hope you liked them! Do you want to have more personal entries by me, or should I keep it all to cosmetics? I'd have a lot more to tell, in case you're interested :D Hope this wasn't too long for you ;)
